The house has been owned by the same family for decades, and their care of it shows. The bathrooms are small, but when you consider the rooms were never intended to have them, they did well. There are only 4 rooms, so there's never a crowd. The breakfast was wonderful. Lighter fare, in 2 courses. The first fresh fruit, with a Swedish cream or a fresh lime sorbet. The second was an egg soufflé with fresh vegetables one day, with rolls and apple butter bread. The second, a bread pudding with great sides. Their rates are very comparable to other B&B's and hotels in the area.

Amazing back porch overlooking a pond, horses, creek and waterfall, and the neighboring farm's cattle on the distant hill. Very clean and pleasantly decorated, a real feel of being in someone's home. Cindy's full breakfast was delicious, highlight was the thick cut Virginia bacon! We stayed one night, wishing our travel itinerary would have allowed more. We left feeling like we had a new friend in Abingdon.

Fresh coffee was always ready. Her cherry pie and cranberry compote were to die for, not to mention the egg and asparagus souffle and biscuits and gravy. The accommodations are about a 500 foot walk from the Virginia Creeper Trail. The rooms are quaint with large tile showers, comfortable beds and cable TV. Plenty of closet space and all the amenities you would expect of a bed and breakfast. Again, Cindy could not have been a more lovely host. Very affordable. We plan to book this inn anytime we come back to visit Abingdon.

Paula was our hostess and she was wonderful. She greeted us upon arrival, gave us a quick but thorough tour, offered us cold drinks, and let us be. She cooked a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We were staying for only one night but wish we had more time to enjoy the inn and surroundings. We thought the inn was a GREAT value for the money. We would have spent more at a standard hotel by the highway. The inn was way more relaxing, quiet and peaceful than our other options. The inn was very well decorated and did not have too many throw pillows! Our deck looked out over the river and we feel asleep listening to the river. We did not realize that there were other guests at the inn. We had all the peace and quiet we needed. I highly recommend talking to Paula about the best way to get to the inn. We planned to arrive before dark but we fell behind schedule. We relied on our smart phones but lost service coming in along some very rural roads from the north. It was a fun but crazy nighttime drive along the N. Fork River Road until we found the inn. I should have printed out a map! The inn has WiFi and was in range for our Verizon phone service. The inn has a big man cave, music room, hot tub, and lots of other amenities that we plan to enjoy when we return.

I didn't think dinner could get better than my juicy grilled pork chop, but then our waitress sang a song!!! We were seated in the large dining room with Richie Kennedy playing instrumentals on the piano. Everyone was enjoying their food, the atmosphere was cozy, and our waitress Fallyn Grace Presley decided to take a break and sing a song with the piano man... Outstanding. Now back to my pork chop for a moment. What a great grilled flavor, and the right amount of sweetness from the blackberry glaze The only thing left on my plate was the bone, and it was calling my name. So I forgot that I was in a public restaurant, with a big beard, I shoved it in my face and picked it clean. I never cease to be amazed at the incredible community I'm part of. The owners were so kind and helpful - we didn't know what else to do in town, and they pretty much laid out our weekend for us, with great suggestions for a local brewery with a trivia night, great restaurants, and a couple sights to see in town. Also reasonably priced, which is, of course, a plus! Highly recommend - just loved!!! :)
