He took them for further treatment and re-installed them when that task was completed. We were fully satisfied with Jay's Custom Cabinets' first design and installation in our first home. When lava took that beauty and we found another, we, of course, turned to them for the updating of the kitchen of our new home. We experienced the same level of courtesy, competent expertise, and working relationship. Sadly and unfortunately, the pandemic forced the company to purchase wood from a different manufacturer and from the start Jay informed us of this. We were not sure why he did this, but now we know. The bamboo cabinetry which is beautiful is molding. Black and white mold on the front and back of the cabinet doors. They gave us a spray bottle of mold remover, but it is ineffective as mold has seeped into the bamboo and is no longer merely in the surface. We know that they sealed the wood and that they did the expected. But they refuse to consider their liability any further than this. They informed us that since we live in a tropical area with heavy rainfall, ww are partly responsible. But they ignore the fact that the home we bought is 26 years old, and its original cabinets did not mold nor smell moldy. Sadly, they are saddled with inferior wood to work with OR perhaps it's only the bamboo option that is questionable.
