The lobby was nice and clean, looked newly remodeled. Customer service was a flat out zero (0)! No greeting or anything resembling a human being taking my order. I wasn't given my cup for my pop until I asked and when I asked for ketchup I got a "Five Guys" fries amount in my bag. Won't be returning CS is my pet peeve and u failed miserably. read more

I don't remember eating very many White Castle burgers when I lived in Michigan growing up as a kid. But, since I have lived in California for over 30 years I crave them all the time. So I was very excited on my vacation in Detroit to finally enjoy "me some White Castle hamburgers" they call them sliders now. When I saw this White Castle not far from my mom's house I had to make a stop. The restaurant was clean and had a nice size dining area. The females behind the counter were friendly and the service was fast. The restaurant had several cool posters on the wall and a clean restroom. I ordered six of the sliders three with cheese and three without, fries and a diet coke. My husband ordered the same. They were hot and delicious, the buns were soft and fresh just the way I remembered them. They don't come with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, bacon just a small meat patty, seasoning and sautéed onions. So until next time White Castle keep on doing what you're doing. read more

Despite its location, this place isn't half bad. I sometimes come here to pick up lunch for myself and coworkers when we're in the mood for some good ole White Castle. It's close and easy, despite being right at the I-96 interchange and Telegraph road. I always go inside to order and the staff here is pretty nice. Place is clean and even though I'm coming at lunch hour, I never have to wait more then a few minutes to place my order. They have bullet proof glass here, but its never down when I'm here because it's during the day. The fountain drink area is always clean and well stocked, and I love carrying out from here. Food orders are accurate, quick and prices are the same as others. As long as I work in this area, I will probably make this my "go to" White Castle... read more

You either love White Castle burgers or you hate them. I love them. This location was pretty standard- we went through the drive thru, employees were friendly and offered us whatever was on special. We were through and gone in about five minutes which is great in my opinion. We get the #7, cheese with everything and a Sprite & Cherry Crave cooler. Burgers were fresh and hot along with the fries. Plenty of napkins in the bag and everything was neat. Best fast food ever. read more

Inside is usually clean and parking lot sweep throughout the day but I never checked out restrooms. I can say customer service is OK but it can do for a little improvement. Unfortunately the drive thru is extremely slow after midnight and that's busy time. (Friday thru Sunday). Not sure if I was eating alpo or white castle. The bread was so hard I'm quite sure I could break a window with it. That had to be the worst food I have ever had in my whole entire life. I didn't even get to bite the meat without chances of chipping my teeth. The drink was so hot and watered down I'm pretty sure it was sparkling water. This is for the White Castle in Redford at Telegraph Rd. & I96. I called in an order for a Crave Case. When I arrived at the set time, they hadn't even started it and had a line of cars to handle before they could even begin. The counter person said they had JUST gotten my order, and when I said I had called it in over two hours earlier, she said, "Well, you talked to the assistant manager." ????? What did that matter? Then when the order was ready, it was packed into 4 paper sacks and then stuffed into plastic bags. I think I looked perplexed because I had ordered a Crave Case. She looked at my face and stammered, "Oh, we're out of the cases." Uh huh. I could see 2 empty cardboard cases just beyond the grill. The thing is--when you're going to surprise someone with a Crave Case, part of the fun is giving them the CASE. So very poor customer service. read more

White Castle is White Castle. A classic. Home of little sliders. What you see is what you get. If your in the mood for a quick hamburger, then visit White Castle. They have a good variety of hamburgers. They have cheese sticks, loaded fries and etc. you'll find coolers and smoothies here as well. All good. I wouldn't recommend getting the veggie slider though, it's horrific lol. Taste like you literally ate a plant lol. But to each is own. Other than that, the burgers are good for the price. Not very expensive. I mean it's White Castle lol. Sometimes they're fresh, sometimes they're not and you have to take them back. But when you get a good, hot batch, it's great! 50/50 chance, that why I gave three stars. read more

Coming here during the day is typically quick. Coming here after dark, very very slow. I've noticed this not only on weekends but any day of the week. I've only been in the inside a couple times but each time I thought it was clean and maintained. I have been going to this particular White Castle when no other is open or too far away for over 20 years. I've given them chances time and time again and they always drop the ball. Orders are never right, takes forever to get the food and the customer service is horrible. This will be the last time I ever go to this one. First of all I ordered using the app. I've done this for over 3 years now at multiple stores with no problems whatsoever. This was the first time I tried it at this one. I figured if they had the order printed out and right in front of them there is no way they could mess it up. Wow was I wrong. The app told me to give them 15 minutes. I know this one WC is slow, so I got there 20 minutes later. I sat at the speaker for 3-4 minutes before anyone even said anything. I told them I had an online order and they told me to pull forward. There was one car there in front of me. After 5 minutes the driver of the car in front of me honked the horn and asked what is taking so long. The window opened and a bag of food was thrust at her window. I get to the window and sit for another 3-4 minutes before they even open the window. When they do they asked if I ordered the jalapeno cheeseburgers. I said yes. I had to wait another 5 or so minutes before they were given to me without any comment or even a "no problem" when I said thanks. When I got home, the burgers were not made how I had ordered them, and they obviously hadn't even bothered to look at the online order (add pickles and mustard) until I pulled up to the window. If this was a one time thing I'd let it go. But this ALWAYS happens at this location. This is, without a doubt, the WORST WC I've ever been to. And I've traveled all over the continental US. What makes it even worse is the attitude of the workers. From trainee to manager they're never friendly or willing to fix your order and just generally act like you're bothering them. I'm sure nothing will come from this review, since this store has been this way and has the reputation of being this way for over 20 years now. But if by some off chance the GM or regional manager reads this, you really need to clean house and change the culture of this store. I've been in customer service for a decade, and I wouldn't have a job if I acted like the employees here. My advice is to go to the Plymouth Rd. store if they are open, or just drive to the 8 Mile one. Even with the extra drive you're most likely going to save time and get your order correctly made. Wow... That's all I can say at the sheer incompetence of this place! We stopped on the way home while I was designated driving friends home from downtown and it seriously took over twenty minutes for a crave case. Had we not already paid, I would have left like the cars behind me were. The girl in the window kept telling me to pull up, but the car in front of me was parked, and the driver had gotten OUT of his car and gone inside - though he did return with food. Damm that was some good white castle that I just had. If you like white castle as I do and want it done right, the Telegraph and 96 location is the best. They must clean their fryers often and keep it at the right temp because the fried food is toe curlingly good. Not greasy or turned. Crispy amd sealed in their own suices. The double cheese burger was also perfect. Spot on amount of onions to steam the buns with. l just picked up an order at about 3:21 am (don't jiudge you dont know why) and the drive through guy smiled and was complimentary and was cleaning while we waited, he kept busy but wasn't stressed about it. Maybe this is just a fresh crew, but even then...awesome people this late? Maybe they treat their people right here or if not I wish they would..I am super impressed and might even eat here more often for my fast food choice which is pretty much only Boston Market and which which.
