The Metro Detroit area finally has its first Raising Cane's, 3 months prior to this review. Naturally the fast food establishment received plenty of customers over that stretch of time in a manner similar to Chick-fil-A. Whenever I drove down Ford Rd and passed it up, there were long lines circling around the parking lot creating traffic backups. Since then the hype has died down a little, so I took the opportunity to finally grab me a meal. Now this is not the first time I've been to a Cane's, as I was first exposed to one while visiting a friend in the Kansas City area. I enjoyed my meal at the time because of the anticipation and I never had it available to me at home (East Lansing already had one, but its not worth driving to it from where I live). Now that we finally have one close by, I can definitely say I have a more grounded perspective on the restaurant and it's food. To start I wanted to inform you that I ordered 2 of the 3-piece combo meal that each featured 3 tenders, fries, a Texas toast, drink and their famous dipping sauce. The tenders are delicious, but they are undersized to say the least. The fries taste okay, but crinkle are quite bland if they aren't seasoned with anything beyond salt. Truthfully the weakest item on here is the Texas toast, which is too soft to the point where it feels like it's not even baked completely. To top it off it doesn't really taste good and feels like it needs their sauce just to give it flavor. Speaking of the sauce, I really dig it despite many people saying that it's overrated. They have great lemonade and iced tea, but I'm not including those in my total assessment. My final verdict of Raising Cane's is that it's good and you're probably going to enjoy your meal. But if you're spending $10 to feed one person it's not a great value and they don't offer anything that stands out when you can get just as good (if not a better) chicken tender meal at your local eatery. While it's not the biggest deal in the world, I am also not a big fan of making a chicken sandwich with multiple chicken fingers vs an actual chicken patty.

Look at those pale limp fries! Sad!

So much hype, so disappointing! I ordered 4 chicken fingers, fries, toast, and coleslaw. The fries were ridiculous! So white and limp. Yuck! The chicken fingers themselves were very bland. It tasted like they didn't have salt on them. I didn't like the gristly bits I had in several bites. The tenders definitely needed the sauce, which was pretty good. I will not be back.

Always delicious! They just do one thing - Chicken Fingers and they do them very well! One thing I will never understand; it was freezing outside and the fans are whirling in the dining room and it is unbearably cold in there! Why? Why are the fans whirling at full speed and so freaking cold like it's the middle of summer? Someone please make it make sense? ‍

My daughter was all excited to try raising canes since they have been all hyped all over tik tok. The location is big, no customer parking next to the restaurant. Options are Lowes behind them or some random parking lot to the side. Security directing the traffic. Packed inside as expected the lines moving fast. Staff was friendly. Ordered a large combo to share. Chicken is juicy and crispy, fries was ok, toast is a bit overrated and the sauce unfortunately too acidy and sour to my liking. The kicker was when I placed my order and gave my name the cashier told me he cant use my name its prohibited in their system. I had to become Barbara to get my food. Discriminatory much..!?

I think when it comes to Cane's there are two mindsets, those who love it and those you don't see what's the big deal. We are the family that happens to love and crave Cane's. We are so happy to get one closer to us so we do not need to drive out to East Lansing. I wanted to avoid this place for a while when it first opened because I knew it would attract huge lines. We tried going to the EL location, but there was an event and the line was out the door, so we came here instead. The drive-thru area was absolutely crazy. I am not even sure of the wait time, maybe 45 minutes. We wanted to eat there and were able to walk right it, get in a line, and order within five minutes. The dining room was very busy, but spots did open up and there is a lot of outdoor seating. We did manage to find a spot and got our food in a very reasonable amount of time considering how crowded the inside and outside were. The food was as expected, very consistent to Cane's, very good and very satisfying. I got the four piece with two breads and asked for the chicken and fries to be extra crispy. The chicken was so good, very juicy, the sauce perfect. The bread warm and soft and garlicy. I do like the fries, but be aware even if you asked for them crispy, they are not really, but I enjoy them. I always order an extra sauce, because you need at least two. This time I also tried their famous lemonade since I have only tried their famous tea in the past. It was really good, very mellow, lemony without being harsh or tart. It is worth getting. I am not sure if they have refills on it but I don't think they do. If you want refills, you could always ask. The décor is fun as always. I will definitely be back sooner than I would to the EL location. I am sure it will probably often be busy, but hopefully not as crazy as now.

Haven't had Cane's in so long! There was a small piece of hair in the sauce so I took down a star but besides that it's what you'd expect, tender chicken, savory sauce, and buttery Texas toast!

Having had this franchise in other states, I was happy to have one open here in Michigan not too far from us. Raising Cane's is definitely ok for what it is. Their chicken tenders are cooked the perfect way to me. Sometimes you can get a batch that seems less seasoned and other batches are perfect. The Texas toast always is done well and a must for the meal. The cane sauce I'll admit is not my favorite at all. I prefer their honey mustard sauce. Their lemonade is really good and it's because of the ice I fell lol. The prices are not too bad compared to other places. This location had plenty of staff and I hope it stays that way. They were all pretty courteous and non aggressive or irritable with how busy it is. They put a lot of local decorations in the store which is cool. Overall give it a try. It's a busy wait because they are still new, but overtime the grove will be ok!

Tried the new Raising Cane's in Canton, and I have to say, the location itself is fantastic. The staff was super friendly, the place was spotless, and they even had the good ice in the drinks--which is always a win. My food came out hot and fresh, and everything seemed to be running really smoothly. That said, this was my first time trying Raising Cane's, and I have to be honest--I was kind of underwhelmed. The chicken and toast didn't have much seasoning, and the Cane's Sauce, which I've seen hyped up all over TikTok and Mukbang videos, just didn't do it for me. I know people are obsessed with it, so maybe it's just a personal preference, but I don't see myself craving it in the future. If you're already a fan of Raising Cane's, you'll probably love this spot. But if you're trying it for the first time, just know it might not live up to the internet hype...

Brand new Raising Canes in Canton! Place looks great. Large seating area inside and, when the weather gets warmer, a large patio outside. They have a double drive thru to keep the traffic moving. The service was over the top friendly. They were super quick and extra energetic. Had the sandwich combo and 2 orders of the 4-piece tender combo. Both the sandwich and the tenders tasted great. The goods: I'd probably ask for more sauce on the sandwich, the bread absorbed most of it. The tenders in the combos were pretty inconsistent in size. One box had 4 decent size pieces but the 2nd order had 3 tiny tenders (see picture for comparison next to a small plastic fork). The quality was great but for the price I was expecting larger pieces. The fries and slaw were good. I also didn't like the packaging... the styrofoam/plastic was flimsy and one of the larger containers split on the end when I was carrying it, luckily the slaw and sauce was in separate containers otherwise it would have spilled. I'd come back for service, the toast, and the sauce...

Got to try out this location a day before opening & was pleasantly surprised!! Service was quick & employees were all super friendly. The lemonade tasted phenomenal (they even have the mini ice cubes!) Got a tender combo box that came with 4 tenders, fries, sauce, Texas toast and coleslaw. Yum!!! I anticipate they will be super busy the next few days. :)

No Love from me , once was enough. Why do some people not like raising canes? It is arguable that without Cane's sauce, the chicken is just regular dry chicken. It is borderline comparable to frozen chicken strips from the store. And even their crinkle cut fries can't be saved with some fry seasoning and sauce, from being a bland entree to go along with an already bland meal. #raisingcanes #cantonmi

Tried Raising Cane's for the first time at the new Canton location. Got the 3 Finger Combo which over $10 after tax. Honestly, pretty disappointing. The portion was small. Three tenders, a handful of crinkle fries, a slice of toast, a drink, and a sauce. The chicken was decent but only tasted good with the Cane's sauce (which just feels like ketchup mixed with mayo). On its own, the chicken was bland. The fries were undercooked, soft and pale, no crisp at all. The toast was just basic white bread grilled on one side. Nothing memorable. Not sure what the hype is about. Definitely not worth the current line for. Service was quick, but won't be rushing back.

And the Culver's burger is either #1 or 2 on my list of favorite smashburgers, depending on my mood. Plus I eat far too many concrete mixers, so to say I'm a fan is an understatement. But this location unfortunately is a touch subpar compared to others in the area and I say that based on 3 things. 1) their drive thru is the slowest I have encountered. There have been times I've waited 20+ minutes for orders. 2) as I said above I frequently order concrete mixers. This location virtually never fully mixes the cup. It's the norm to have no mix ins in the bottom half. 3) Compared to the other locations I frequent, Canton is the most expensive. Specifically the base cost for their concretes, and the cost of the extra mix ins. So tied to #2 above, this location charges more for a more inferior product. I've been coming to this location for years, ever since they opened. In the beginning the owner was there all the time and he was on top of service. It's now been a couple years since I've seen him. Lance, if you are reading this, the store could use your attention again. I say that as a fan.

I wasn't sure if the drive thru screens were lagging, as it kept going black, but my order was messed up. I also redeemed my custard token for vanilla with brownie (as my plan was to eat the brownie bits and use the rest of the custard for my rootbeer to make a float) but "cookie dough" was input instead of brownies. This happened at around 9:50PM last night . While the worker was reading it back to us, he even said "brownie" but my receipt read cookie dough. Disappointed but not surprised.

The ingredients were fresh ... melted smoked Gouda, (shredded) lettuce, tomato and pickled peppers. Not a fan of shredded lettuce. I prefer a couple of leaves of chilled crisp lettuce. The tomato was a winter tomato and did not add any acidity. The bun was properly toasted a beautiful golden brown. The onion rings ... sigh. Tasty and not a grease farm ... and while fried perfectly, they arrived mostly a giant lump of stuck together. They were served hot and on a separate plate a few minutes after the burger arrived. I decided to splurge and try a peanut butter shake. Terrific ice cream ... no HFCS aftertaste. Great peanut butter flavor. Two disappointments: - Value. $8 for the size ... insufficient value. - I like my milkshakes to be blended a bit coarse; not blended textureless, soft-serve smooth. You've been warned. My wife ordered the bison burger, well done. It was served precisely as ordered. She was happy. The portion of sweet potato fries was large, properly fried and served hot. Ambiance ... disturbed by one VERY LOUD woman engaged in a running dialog with the bartender. They seemed to know each other. Otherwise; it is clean, organized and has a good neighborhood bar vibe. Will I return? Yes.
