I live in CA and have family in East Dubuque. I was a little skeptic on sending flowers because i wasn't sure if the sites were legit. I seen good reviews for New Whites Florist and decided to give it a shot. I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. They were so helpful. They attempted a first delivery and no one was home. I had emailed to see if I could get tracking and this is when they responded. They responded so quickly back and forth to my emails. I had received a call when they were going to attempt a second delivery and I told them it was ok to leave. I was a little nervous having them left due to the heat and possibly wilting but the flowers were beautiful! If I had to give one complaint, and this is reaching because I am not a picky person, the vase was not the same as in the picture online. Like I said that is reaching though because it is still a beautiful vase that was sent. I am sure I will be using them again to send flowers to our family back east! read more

Awful experience. Ordered a specific bouquet I found on their website around $90. Got a call later saying the wouldn't be able to make the exact bouquet I ordered. I thought, no problem. Maybe flowers are out of season, etc. Surely they'll put something equally nice or at least similar together for me. Ended up getting a half dozen roses and some random flowers. Of course was still charged the full $90. I could have gotten something nicer at the grocery store. read more

Ordered a $60 arrangement and they were delivered without being covered on a brisk day and all of the roses are now wilted after 2 days without even opening. The small pink roses were already wilting on the day of delivery and now are dead. Could not be more disappointed in the quality of these flowers and the fact that they didn't even last 2 full days. I sent her an inspiration board, featuring wedding colors, flower preferences, wedding attire, etc. We met once for a consultation about 3 months before my wedding date. I was seeking a little more guidance from Linda, but we still got our flowers picked out. We chose an expensive flower, peony, which runs about $15 per stem. So disappointed! I found out late about the loss of a close friend's husband, for whom a visitation was being held the same day at a local church. Naturally, I called "New White" Florist after having been a customer of the original "White" Florist for many years. Luckily, I recorded the conversation, so I can quote the disturbing remarks made by whomever answered the call. Upon giving her the name of the departed, I was quickly informed by a seemingly - to me - perturbed woman who answered the phone: "That's already started. We can't deliver there anymore." I immediately acknowledged & apologized for the lateness of the order, explaining that Visitation was all afternoon. The wake service wasn't to be held until 6:30 p.m. with the funeral Mass the following day. I was told: "But it's already started. In fact, we just got back from there!" She then thought for a moment, and said, "We could do a green plant, but that's all." She named a few green plants, including a Peace Lily. I explained that Peace Lilies, although nice, were a bit understated and I considered green, non-flowering plants to be less than suitable to send to a close friend who had experienced such an unexpected loss. I wanted something beautiful - something that would tell my friend how much I love her, "So, that's all you can do? I was hoping to find a florist willing to go the extra mile & help me out." No response I guess I'll try to find someone else, but thanks anyway." "That's fine. Thank you!" My next call was to a florist who found a beautiful double-stalked orchid. THANK YOU is not enough! I ordered long distant,(New Mexico),by phone for a specific arrangement for my Uncle's funeral. I wanted red, white and blue flowers, (since he was a medic during the Korean War) and two ribbons, one with Uncle and one with Brother. The flower arrangement was AMAZING! In fact it was so beautiful that it was placed at the head of the flag draped casket. The family was blown away with the arrangement so much it replaced the family's original spray by another local florist. After calling another long time florist in Dubuque to order a hanging basket of geraniums for Mother's Day and being told they could not accommodate me I called Whites Florist and was told they also had no hanging geranium baskets but they would be happy to make me one up. Living 2000 miles from my 86 year old Mother I send flowers often. Whites will now have my business. read more
