The owner (Joe Pinder) was available to tell us about the art, the gallery and upcoming shows and festivals. (His dog was also hanging out, and was very cute.) Pieces were surprisingly affordable (I'm used to the art shows in a different area, I guess, where products are more costly). Overall, I would definitely keep this place in mind on a return visit to Galena for art with a personal touch and a local flavor.

Also a Noggin in the British Definition is a unit of measurement versus the American Version which was our head in the dictionary. Chris opened the store for me after my husband called to check their hours - and I am so happy we got the opportunity to go! the atmosphere in the shop was homey and cleansing - Chris was amazing with my daughter who came in with me, my shy but curious & loving four-year old. I went looking for a bundle of sage, left with a gorgeous rose, sage & lavender bundle with a clear quartz point. Also was looking for a palm amethyst, and found the perfect one (my daughter actually picked it out without hesitation and held it nonstop). Been looking for some loose leaf tea in town, and tried one of their mixes as well (Wasn't what I was expecting, but I am so "green" to the loose leaf tea process that I own that only downfall of this otherwise amazing trip). I definitely want to go back and get one of their beautiful tea mugs that I almost added to my haul. I still want to go back for their zodiac perfume as well that I almost got on my first trip to their store, but wound up getting a gorgeous one-of-a-kind full moon sweater. That sweater to this day is still one of my favorite articles of clothings.

There are pendulums; books introducing one to paganism, or Wicca specifically as well; puzzles; tarot cards; pins; diaries; greeting cards; and so on. Nearly half of the shop features supplies for fiber crafts, so of course you'll find yarn here but also yarn bowls, cross stitch and embroidery kits, and so on. I bought several beautiful rolls of wrapping paper, which I spent a ridiculous amount of money in but it was really gorgeous and I can't wait to give some gifts now! The folks here also run a ghost tour. I overheard the proprietor speaking with some other customers, and he mentioned they do a 90 minute walking tour. I was so bummed that I had plans tonight (even more bummed that those plans didn't really materialize!!). Next time I visit I would like to take a ghost tour. It was especially interesting listening to these folks talk with the owner because they themselves are ghost hunters, and they were asking about haunted places and said they like to take their own equipment out to explore. The store is not really accessible, unfortunately. There is a big step up from the sidewalk to enter. If you have mobility issues but can manage a large step up (probably at least 6-8 inches) it may work, but wheelchair users will not be able to enter. The owners seem to be cultivating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, so if you need assistance I'm sure they would be happy to help.
