We had gone to multiple places over the years and we showed all our paperwork and told our story and not ONE of them actually looked me in the eye and showed any sense of, well a soul, all they would say to me is this is our retainer, this is how much we charge, get it give it to me sign here and we'll be in touch. Yeah so I knew that once I got all this money together the retainer would be gone in two seconds and they would have drawn up one thing and made a few calls. They didn't even tell me a plan of action or explain what the process they were thinking of. They had a fake smile, offered coffee or water and made me feel like "were pretty much done after you sign here." When I didn't want a drink, I wanted some sense of footing that what I wanted to be done would be handled. So, a friend who had used Fran white before suggested I give her a try. She was the first lawyer that looked me IN THE EYE and said this is how much, this is what we want to happen, this is what could happen. We will take it one step at a time. And ever since I signed with her we have gotten nothing but DEVOTION, decency, and skill. She knows her stuff. She knows all the courthouses Cook county, DuPage county, etc. She is always calm because when you're that good at what you do you can be that calm. The process is tough because family law is basically figuring out how to put your family together so it's best for your children and everyone. Most of the cost came from back-and-forth emails, phone calls, and internal communication--not progress on my case.
