She couldn't find my information at first. And when she did, she told me that I would be charged $175 for the first hour - which. Includes drive time. They are 20ish minutes away so I'd be paying $150 for them to drive to me. This is absurd. I was initially quoted around $200 total. Sue informed me that it could be $700!!! When I asked when I could be scheduled she told me that she couldn't give me a date and it would be at least another two weeks. Very poor experience. I'm extremely frustrated and will be telling everyone I know not to use Lakeside Pool Services

After speaking with…read moreKelsey to request service, I followed up by filling out their customer contact form with a laundry list of everything I wanted done at the time. Joel requested clarification of Doorbell - drill out opening enough for lighted doorbell. The difficulty was the material that needed to be drilled was CEMENT. Joel was also extremely pleasant. Evan, their electrician, was a delight! He was fast, tidy and knowledgeable. In no time he had that pesky doorbell hole drilled and my beautiful light up doorbell installed. It's the first time I have heard the doorbell chime ring in years! After that he quickly installed the 2 front door dusk to dawn motion sensor lights, followed by a challenging installation of a CAT-6 Cable to the bedroom above the modem and router in the living room (which had to be moved because of repeated flooding in the basement from torrential rains). The challenge was to install the cable without drilling into the hardwood floor above. He ended up drilling through 6 solid inches of wood inside the wall behind the router. There was no way my child or I had that expertise. After that was the CAT-6 Ethernet line to the upstairs Master bedroom, routing the cable through a tiny crawl space attic filled with insulation! After that Evan remounted a motor onto a table saw, reconnecting all of the wires and tightened the plug connections. Since the saw required a 220 volt outlet, which had been wired previously, Evan ran to Kendall Electric for an outlet insert, even though that outlet had not been on my original list. Evan accomplished all of the above tasks in less than a day! Thanks so much Evan!

Days passed with no contact. I called and left a respectful message with no response. Second week, I called and left a respectful message... no response. Monday of third week, I dropped by location. Rob was off last week, and is now in back with 'guys'...unreachable. Left message with no response. I called and left message again. Called back and respectfully explained to receptionist... I just need to know if this is going to get done, it's been three weeks. She responded that they are very busy, and Rob is the ONLY one who can quote work. Waited three more days, still no response. Completely unacceptable way to do business. Don't tell me you will, then try to ignore me until I go away because you don't want to, or are too busy. A very unprofessional way to conduct business. Rest assured , every other business owner I know will hear of how Linear Electric wasted three weeks of my time and cost me a month's worth of rental income on two properties. Thanks Rob.

Benchmark is a very small company and their "new pool sales and installations" are booked a few years in advance. I would recommend sending them a letter indicating your interest. They are the ultimate in professionalism and Bill Kantor's knowledge of his pools is extensive. Also, their customer service is the tops!

I'm looking for 2022 installation, and I'm sure they are busy, but if someone ever gets back to me I'm sure they will be booked. They sent an email with the name of the CEO (Mr. Kanter), but there is no way to break through their wall separating them from potential customers. I've sent 3 emails back, all unanswered. I don't live close to their offices in Bridgman, MI, but I imagine there is barbed wire around the grounds. If it weren't for the fact that they have the unground fiberglass pool that I want, I would give up. If anyone knows how to breakthrough to this company, please let me know.
