This place needs LOTS of improvement. This place started off good, but is now going bad. First off, the workers are friendly when you want to buy something, however when you return bottles they dont want to be bothered. They told me that they were doing us a FAVOR buy taking bottles back. The younger employee help that was there, is MUCH better than the older employee help currently. I mentioned this problem to the owner, and she didnt care about it. This place is going back to the management style that failed them in the past. I doubt i will be returning to this place, because there are MUCH better, full service, and friendlier places to go to. read more

This store is under new ownership and it is fully stocked. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They have a nice selection of CT Wines and Micro-Brew Beers, which you don't see in a lot of other stores. I live in Monroe and this store is the nicest liquor store anywhere in the area. read more

The kid with the schmutz at the register was SO rude to me. Threw my ID at me and told me my address was fake because he had "never heard of the street I live on". I myself have lived in Shelton my whole life and have not heard of several streets. The line was getting long and then he told the people behind us that it was my fault. He scanned my friends ID when she checked out, I assume this entire issue could have been resolved by just scanning mine. I asked him to google map my address to prove where it was and when he put it in the search engine he spelled it wrong and told me no. Finally another customer confirmed that it was a real address and he said ok I'll take her word for it. I'll never go back and I also told all my friends to not go back. read more

I know there are old reviews on here giving low ratings because prior owner had no stock, however, they finally have new owners and the place is amazing. Fully stocked, if you can't find it here, it probably doesnt exist! The service is outstanding!! First place to stock our very hard to find chardonnay! David is fantastic. The people here are very friendly, yes. They also have wine and spirits, this is true. Unfortunately, there isn't very much selection. There was only one bottle of Disarono, and it was small. It looks like they have about one of each thing, and we couldn't find a port that looked drinkable. How am I supposed to restock my parent's bar if the place down the road doesn't have what I drank? read more
