FABULOUS place!! The selection of hard alcohol and wines is enormous and they also have quite a lot of organic (no added sulfates) wines. It is owned by a family - and the father and his three sons "work it". They are great fun to chat with and very, very helpful. The atmosphere makes one want to stay and chat.....which is what I do often. I cannot recommend them enough!! read more

Family owned/ran. Been going here for years. The father knows his whiskeys and the two sons split the knowledge on beer and wine. Such a great shopping experience. They make it personal. Wow. Floor to ceiling selection. Extremely nice staff that are knowledgeable about the product. Excellent wine and beer selection with a wall of beer singles for the more expensive beers so you needn't sink $20 into a 4pk you don't love. I'd give zero stars but yelp want let me, customer service is poor at best! We've been returning bottles here for a year, suddenly we come on a Saturday night all the rules have changed. Staff argued and made up rules as they went along, responded with "whatever" when my boyfriend suggested that we wouldn't be shopping here anymore. I liked the selection of beer, but I wont tolerate being disrespected. So you've lost a couple customers, but I guess you don't care. read more

Great wine selection with a very knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming staff. If you ask for help or a suggested wine, you are likely to get a hearty explanation of much of what they have available based upon what you tell them you like or are looking for. You will feel like you are the only customer they have. My gf and I are beginning to really get into wine and the staff here (especially one man who may be the owner) are very helpful in suggesting wines to take us out of our comfort zone and into some regions we would not otherwise think to try. The beer selection is also very good and if you want a specialty that you don't see, they may have it in the back and/or will definitely order for you. We always buy way too much when we go in here but never regret it. Anyone in the area should definitely check the place out. read more

The current owners took over in 2008 and have made some wonderful changes such has a huge expansion. They offer a great selection of beer and wine and are always willing to help. If they do not have something you want - they will order it for you. Their prices are very reasonable as well. A great neighborhood family owned business. Just walked in with my husband to browse their beer selection. I spot one of their workers, a younger guy, come out with a very in demand beer in a 4 pack. He hands it to a customer in the back of the store. I proceed to ask him if I could get some too. He paused, then said "no we are out". Then looks to the customer with the beer he just handed over, and they chuckle to each other. I'm going to pay for the beer just like anyone else they hand it to. Don't lie to my face then laugh about it. I won't be in again. My usual package store will bend over backwards to serve you, and they are so genuinely friendly. (New England BevCo) Some punk kid just cost them a good customer (we drink a lot of beer). So disgusted. read more

Not anywhere close to my house, but if and when the timing is right after a visit to Costco I always swing in. I go because the owner is just a straight shooter and all around nice guy. Absolutely no salesman BS here. They have everything from under $10 gems to the ultra high end. My biggest complaint is that the wine room is a mess and very confusing. But if you have the time to really search through all of the generic labels, you will find some real treasures and eclectic bottles. Expansive beer and liquor selections. Pricing is spot on with all of the big box liquor warehouse stores. But the bottom line here is the service and personality. Keep up the good work. Coincidentally, prior to visiting Racebrook this past week I happened to stop in at New England Bev next to Trader Joe's. I was completely ignored even when I stood in the expensive French section, the old man couldn't be bothered talking to me. That's the difference at Racebrook. The owner talks to you whether you're buying a $5 box wine or a $100 bottle of champagne! And he talks to you like a human being...That screams service! read more
