We were impressed with his diligence, attempt to understand us and openness so we went with him as our agent. It took us awhile to find a house so we had a lot of house visits with Brian and some of the things we appreciated included: - Area Knowledge: In an advantage over the online services, Brian frequently had the tip on homes prepping to sell. In a market where there's only a few days between a showing and a sale, this is important for giving a bit more time for diligence and prep a bid. Brian also occasionally got us into homes before they went on the market. - Diligence / Responsiveness: Brian doesn't stop texting. I don't think he sleeps. I'm not sure. But we appreciated the low bar of formality on communications, texting back and forth when convenient, trading links to new homes, etc. - Frankness: What I've not seen in a lot of RE agents is the frankness to call a lemon a lemon. When we'd do walkthroughs, Brian would proactively flag the negative for us even if I never would have known (ex: brands for things like water heaters). - Creativity: We were always open to fixers and Brian was always a valuable sounding board in walkthroughs for ideas on how easy/hard it would be to fix up a particular place. - Network: If you need a thing related to a house, Brian's got a person in the contact's list.
