Terrible vibe and service. Owner was extremely rude. I brought in a $5 gift card that was given to me some years ago and said "White Lotus-Hamilton Mall" on it. Owner seemed very upset by this and bluntly said she would not accept it. She tried to tell me that it was not from that location (I then pointed out the location which was clearly printed on the gift card), to which she then replied the gift card was also "too old." When I tried to explain to her that gift cards don't expire, and no store in the mall has gift cards that expire, she nastily said she didn't care what other stores do because this is her store. I tried to explain to her that if an expiration date is not put on the "gift card," a customer can't possibly know when they are supposed to use it by. At this point the owner did not want me to talk any further, became hysterical and started threatening to call security if I did not leave. If getting angry at a customer who comes to the store to redeem a $5 gift card issued by the store itself isn't bad customer service, I don't know what is. I was planning to buy two small Buddha trinkets, but left them there. This store culturally appropriates Buddhism and eastern religions in a sad attempt to jump on the hippie/meditation/yoga bandwagon, but ironically the owner seems to not understand any principles of said religions...nor even basic respect for customers which *any" retail store in the US would understand, not to mention a "high falutin" boutique that is supposed to deliver an elevated, personalized customer experience. My experience in fact was so harrowing I felt incredibly stressed out after my visit. Furthermore, the fact that she got so upset over a FIVE DOLLAR gift card, when most of their merchandise is not bargain priced, is actually just bizarre. If they are doing so badly that a customer presents a five dollar gift card ISSUED BY THE STORE and they have a meltdown over it, I can only feel bad for them, and I do. I recommend avoiding this place. In reality, much of it is merchandise easily available on Amazon for far less money. You are paying for the "ambience" and not much else. This place wants to act like a high end boutique but don't be fooled, the stuff there is cheap and so is the owner. AVOID. read more

White lotus is my absolute favorite store. It's a one stop shop for women's fashion. They have the latest fashion trends, beautiful jewelry, homemade soaps, home goods, and so much more. I live in VA and wait until I visit family in jersey to shop for clothes and jewelry. Though, now, the wait is over. WL began shipping so now I can be trendy from afar. All I had to do was comment on the white lotus Facebook page photos with my size and a few days later I had the items on my doorstep. Every time I wear pieces from this store, people make a compliment. The owners are fabulous, not only in purchasing perfect items but they explain to buyers how to wear the styles. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! As soon as I stepped in to this boutique when it opened up its AC location, I knew I would frequent the place. The decor is unreal. Not to mention it's all done by the owners!!! Not an interior designer! Big props. Every time I go in I always see a new display in the store that is so crafty and unique. They use old rehabilitated doors as jewelry stands/displays, an old fence with the store name displayed, and even bohemian "chandeliers" throughout the store. Also with a touch of a sitting area with vogue magazines mixed with sports illustrated magazines so the husbands can let a girl shop! It's so home-y, I could definitely live there! The owners are two sisters from the local area. They are also the nicest girls and would sell the shirt off their back to someone if they wanted it. Every time I've been in the store I've seen the sisters getting to know their customers, and even will do a personal re-order if something is sold out! Lisa, the one sister, even makes jewelry for the store. Think natural elements, crystals, and druzy stones! The even better thing is if you can think it, she can make it! Yes ladies! Custom hand made jewelry on the spot! I could go on about this store for ever. I HIGHLY recommend it. The price points are insanely low, with the passion and dedication insanely high. I absolutely love the items I have from this store. In addition to the clothing selection, White Lotus Boutique has an incredible selection of jewelry. Some of it is even handmade by the owners themselves. They also have a selection of handmade soaps, candles, and hair accessories. The store itself is beautifully decorated. I have been to both their Atlantic city and sea isle locations. The store is owned by two sisters, both of whom are incredibly nice and professional. Love the Sea Isle shop, was just there Memorial Day weekend with my daughter and she got a great top and I bought really sharp earrings. The owners are the nicest girls in town.. I've been to the AC store in the winter and it is something to see, but my heart is at the smaller Boutique in Sea Isle. I went to White Lotus during one of the busiest weekends of the summer looking for a last minute outfit/dress. Not only was the store clean, organized and absolutely beautiful but the woman who was helping me was more than accommodating and polite!!! The dresses were perfect!
