All genius marketing and controversy aside, you need to do something right for costumers to come back. The nice people of Lovin Dublin crowned their pancakes the best in town so I was really looking forward to them. The café is below ground level and part of a guesthouse on NCR. I received a warm reception when I arrived, big smiles all around and was seated straight away. I almost changed my mind and picked asparagus salad with eggs cause that just sounded devine but then stuck to my original craving and ordered pancakes. I should have gone with the salad. The pancakes were very dense, not fluffy at all. They came with some berry coulis and mascarpone but there was only coulis between the first two pancakes, making this a very dry affair after the first few bites. So either the chef had an off- day or my taste in pancakes is questionable. Either way, I'll try the asparagus salad next time.

Delicious caramelised banana and Nutella pancakes, need to come back for the eggs florentine! Also try the Moosiachtos so sweet

So I got a groupon for the white moose café which was the main incentive I had to get a lunch here! I have to say I was quite pleasantly surprised with the food we received! I got the fish finger sandwich which consisted of monkfish cheek covered in bread crumbs on a Waterford Blaa with some lovely Dijon sauce and a side of Chips with a lovely little tub of ketchup. It was tasty and definitely worth the 6 euro we essentially payed for it! My girlfriend got the ham hock sandwiches which came with mustard and rocket on a Blaa also. We both left pretty stuffed and satisfied and along with the meal we got two lattes which were incredibly tasty and refreshing! Honestly I was very split on how to rate this but decided to go purely on my own experience here with the amount we paid. The reason I would dock a star would be the emptiness of the restaurant and how the waitress wasn't very attentive mainly because she seemed incredibly bored and there was literally no one in the place but us.

    full irish, it was quality

My local area is a bit starved of quality places to eat so a friend and I thought to give this place a go. I really enjoyed it. We had a white moose hot chocolate each which was gorgeous. it tasted like white chocolate and had very drinkable caramel at the bottom. I would have drank a bucket of it. I had a full irish breakfast with toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, sausage and fried mushroom. It was all great though the toast that came with it i felt a bit too hard and crunchy. The decor of the resturant is very nice and i definitely want to return at my earliest opportunity.

This place has been on the bookmark list for a while and finally got the chance to go last week. It did not disappoint, and took me by bit of a surprise. The place is lovely and quant inside, I was expecting a bit more rough and ready judging by their Facebook account. Staff are super attentive, offering free tea refills with our food. The menu is extensive, and I'd go seriously hungry as their portions are huge! I didn't have room for pancakes, but it gives me an excuse to go again! It's so well priced, with two huge breakfast, coffee and endless tea totally less that €17. I reckon it'd be worth a visit for lunch time too judging by their standards and how inexpensive they are too

As a new local to Phibsborough I've been coming to white Moose for the past 12 months, the food is exceptional, the staff are chatty and friendly and they are also dog lovers. Definitely worth a visit for brunch. My favourites are the yoghurt, porridge and the avocado and eggs.

Big fan of white moose and visit almost every weekend / midweek. Food is always to a really high standard and the staff are great - welcoming to kids also. They take feedback well and I'm delighted to see them extending to an evening menu. Well done white moose, keep it up!

The space is rather small, as most coffee shops are, and the prices are a bit up there, but all the coffee they make holds its own against some of the best- no Starbucks quality here- and the food is amazing. Speaking of, if you haven't tried their hotcakes slathered with berries, compote, and some of the most decadent whipped cream you've ever tasted, you haven't lived life to the fullest. It was so sweet, it was almost too much for me to finish, but I won't complain about such a delicious sugar rush this early in the morning. If you're not the "dessert for breakfast" type, they also have your typical avocado toast- don't ask me why that's a thing here, too- eggs, breakfast meats, and of course, porridge. Or, if you're not the breakfast type, they do have some bomb-looking pastries available all day, every day, including vegan options. These guys must also be pretty well-established given that they have merch available for purchase, on top of their perishables. And really, the coffee here is amazeballs. If you come for nothing else, come for that.

The cafe is very pretty, with plenty of different art pieces and decor hanging on the walls and cool furniture. It's quite small inside, with maybe a little more than 10 tables. If it's nice, you can also opt to sit on the small patio. It was a bit chilly when we were in the city, so we decided to sit inside. They have a small menu - you get to choose from a few variations of the Irish breakfast, scones, and breakfast sandwiches. My friend and I both got bacon breakfast sandwiches with the hashbrown and split a plain scone with butter and jam. We were both surprised at how large the scone was and were glad we ended up just sharing one. Even between the both of us we couldn't finish it. The breakfast sandwich was rather large as well and very filling - it hit the spot perfectly! We also got lattes which did the trick of waking us right up! The service seemed very rushed and scattered, but honestly we didn't really mind. We got our food very quickly, so we were in a great mood and left with happy bellies. Overall, if you're into cute cafes, good coffee and want to satisfy that Irish breakfast craving... come here!

I came in pretty early at 10am and there was no one there, yet (more crowds came in shortly after). It was solely manned by one cook in the open kitchen, and one host/server. Since this was my first meal in Dublin, I obviously opted for the best of the best, the goliath of breakfasts, if you will. The Mega Irish breakfast (€9.90) came with 2 over-medium eggs, 2 sausages, 2 slices of bacon, 2 hash browns, 2 black pudding thingies (sorry I'm such an ignorant American...), half a tomato, cup of beans, and 4 slices of toast. Wow. I somehow managed to finish the whole thing, and mega it was. I skipped lunch due to the sheer amount of food. The highlight was the sausage - they were plump, super juicy and very flavorful. The coffee(€2.50) which I always drink black, was also pretty good. The cost was so reasonable given the sheer amount of food. The restaurant itself is pretty artsy (ha), with some nice work on the walls and an eclectic hodge podge of furniture. Definitely check out if you're staying nearby!

I walked in on a Wednesday morning, right as they opened at 9am, and was seated immediately. The sit-in part of Brother Hubbard is bright, relaxing, spacious with plenty of tables inside and there's a patio outside with plenty of tables as well. The waitress came over with a menu and gave me plenty of time to look it over. She was very courteous and pleasant, checking in throughout my time there, never hovering. For breakfast, I ordered an Americano, a ginger scone, and their Irish Oat Porridge - Classic. Their porridge is organic oats made with milk and with ordering it as "Classic", it was served with cream and honey. Starting with the ginger scone, this was another case of a perfectly baked scone - Crispy, golden exterior with a moist, buttery interior. The flavor of ginger was perfectly balanced and the raisins inside were a nice supplement to the scone. The porridge was really good, I loved the creaminess of it! Both did a nice job of filling me up and setting me up for the day of walking to come. Funny enough, around 3:30pm, I stopped here again to grab a mid-afternoon treat and ordered the chocolate and hazelnut Babka, their soft bun filled with chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. This pastry was crazy tasty! A slightly crispy exterior with a croissant-like inside chocked full of chocolate and those toasted hazelnuts. This was so rich and truly decadent. Brother Hubbard is a gem of a breakfast and pastry spot! I appreciate the relaxing café environment with friendly staff and high-quality food. I visited Brother Hubbard on a Sunday, half an hour after it opened and was able to be seated immediately. However, the brunch rush came afterwards and by the time I left, the entire place was filled. It's popular. And yes, it's the same spot Phil Rosenthal ate at. I even saw the owner who was featured on the show here, helping out with clearing tables and so forth. I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast and an iced chai latte. The food was good and actually, not as heavy as I anticipated. It came with an egg, sausage, bacon, beans and a pudding, which I had to look up. It's ground meat with oats and is molded into a patty. It didn't taste bad, so can see why it's served around these parts of the world. And the meal also came with another item I had to look up, colcannon bread, which was a potato bread with kale.
