This year was my third year getting taxes done and now I see that they have been shady and all they…read moredo is create a Turbo Tax account in YOUR name to complete your taxes which costs $100 that you also pay. Although they charge $300, they do not tell you about the $100 that THEY consent for you to pay. I agreed to pay this company $300 for tax services. They created a Turbo Tax for me without my knowledge. Over the phone, they said I would receive an email stating a password and to just tell them the password. I was still NEVER informed they were creating an account under my name without my permission. I thought it was a part of filing taxes. When creating an account, THEY consented that Turbo Tax would charge me another $100 for the service, but I did not give my consent to this, nor was I informed of the extra payment. In total, I was charged $400 to complete tax services when that was not the agreed amount. I received an email from Turbo Tax saying they will be charging me $100 on June 22. I reached out to the company and they said they would take Care of it. I reached out to Damaine, the main contact, multiple times through email and text. He then blocked my number and has ignored all other phone calls and emails and I have been charged for the services that I did not ageee to and that HE agreed to take care of. I love to support black businesses but I have been paying more than I agreed on. Before thinking about completing services with this company, remember, You don't need to pay someone $300 to use a software that is $100, that they also make YOU pay. They also falsify information in order to increase your refund. If you have gotten services done by them before, please review your taxes so that you are penalized in the future.
