I am utterly disappointed with the service provided by White Orchid. The day I chose my dress was a dream. The lovely Melissa assisted me and made the entire experience truly magical, and I will always be grateful to her. However, it seems that since Melissa has left White Orchid, their customer service standards have significantly declined. I ordered my dress and accessories in April 2025 and was so excited to hear that my dress had arrived by February 2026. I booked an appointment to try my dress on before alterations. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the store did not have my accessories available for me to try with the dress, so I proceeded with the fitting despite my disappointment. I then sent my dress for alterations with their recommended seamstress. By 5th May, all alterations had been completed, and the seamstress was preparing to return my dress to the store so I could collect both the dress and my accessories -- which I had not seen since April 2025 -- and finally see my complete bridal look together. I booked this final collection appointment with the store two weeks in advance for 27/06/2026. However, on the Wednesday before my appointment, a staff member called to cancel because the dress had not yet been returned to the store. This was frustrating and confusing. After allowing me to book the appointment, surely the store should have communicated with the seamstress to ensure the dress would be back in time. By this stage, the dress had already been completed for seven weeks, despite the store attempting to place blame on the seamstress by claiming the alterations were unfinished. Despite the inconvenience, I still wanted to keep my appointment, so my mother and I travelled to collect the dress ourselves in order to take it back to the store ready for the appointment. The store ignored multiple attempts at contact until late in the evening and then continued to ignore communication until Saturday. I was then informed that I would not be allowed to try the dress on in store and could only collect my accessories, despite already having booked an appointment. It is standard practice to allow a bride one final fitting with her accessories, especially considering it was the store's own lack of organisation that resulted in my accessories not being available during my previous appointment. The store then stated that they had followed all protocol regarding my dress. According to them, my "final fitting" was the appointment prior to alterations -- without accessories -- and once the dress was with the seamstress, it was no longer their responsibility. They also mentioned steaming the dress, which I declined. Ultimately, they allowed a bride who had never seen her complete final look walk away from their store without any care or concern. We paid not only for the dress, but also for the experience that should come with such an important purchase. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing from this store while it is under its current management, as the professionalism and customer service demonstrated fell far below expectations. read more

At first she was great! the bride wasn't happy with her dress and wanting to modify substantial portion of dress, Colleen was leading the bride it was doable then she offer the bride the vintage dress which was soiled, stained to buy from her. my jaw was literally dropped that point who would wear the dirty dress to once in a life time wedding? make a story short, bride found her a new dress ask Colleen to alter but Colleen was giving a run around. We did find A new place to proceed with fitting. The bride left her veil in colleen's possession With her suggestion, so bride Politely ask to retrieve But she demanded $200.00 from bride. My dress fit decently off the rack and I was hesitant to spend a lot on alterations, but Colleen's vision and creativity convinced me to go with White Orchid Bridal immediately. Her commitment to quality work and perfect detail is evident and I felt like a valued customer throughout the entire process. She was patient, sweet and wonderful to be around. I have a large immediate family and she was welcoming and accommodation when a whole gaggle of sisters tagged along to fittings. After a tragic incident at another alterations place and three weeks out from my wedding, I was desperate to find someone who could make my dress fit properly. Several places turned me away saying they were booked for October, and I'm so glad they did otherwise I might not have found White Orchid! Colleen is my favorite type of person to work with: honest, upfront, and into creative problem solving. She has years of experience creating custom gowns and ballet costumes and it shows! She cut open my dress in front of me to show me the cheap boning that was buckling under the weight of my *ahem* gals, and walked me through the realistic possibilities for my dress. I really appreciate that kind of directness. Not only did she fix the bunching and crappy boning, but she also created a gorgeous jeweled appliqué/flutter sleeve based on another dress (out of my price range) that I had initially fallen in love with. It served to give me the support I desperately needed while also giving my dress a taste of glamour and flair. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was with it. From start to finish, Colleen was a dream to work with. She was very transparent with pricing, sent me progress pictures and worked with me during a time when my schedule was pretty hectic. I will say that the position Colleen put me in 4 weeks before my wedding was devastating. What should have been a happy, memorable part of the wedding process turned into a complete nightmare due to Colleen's unprofessionalism, lack of skill set and inability to manage her time. I LOVED my experience with Colleen at White Orchid Bridal. I contacted Colleen in May for my late August wedding and had my first fitting in late June. Colleen reset the sleeves, took in the sides, and altered the hem of my Bhldn lace gown over the course of 3 fittings. I wish I had more fittings to go to because I just loved the experience that much! Colleen is so nice and so experienced, she gave me lots of ideas but really listened to what I wanted and executed it flawlessly.
