You know, when I had the care for my husband it was fine. Some of the visiting nurses were good,…read moresome just okay. The final days in Hospice care was good at times. Here is what is NOT GOOD. My husband passed away on March 17, 2024. Of course soon after I received a bereavement letter naming all the resources I could reach out to. Fine. Here is what IS NOT FINE: They continue to send me letters about once a month. At first I just threw them in the trash and thought perhaps someone had mistakenly sent me additional ones in error. After about 4 months I decided to call them and ask them to please, please stop sending them because it is painful to continue to get them because it just brings up the pain since we were married for 57 years! They assured me that they would stop. Guess what? They did not stop! So, I finally wrote them a letter strongly suggesting that they stop sending them. New year and guess what I got today??? Another letter! I called and this time I told them to lose my husband's name on their records or else the next letter I get I won't be calling them - my lawyer will be and I will be suing for harassment!

Compassion That Doesn't Clock Out…read more I came to New Century Hospice with hesitation. As a retired firefighter with nearly five decades of service, I wasn't used to asking for help. I feared becoming a patient--losing control, losing dignity. But this team changed everything. Dr. Pennington brought wisdom and calm, guiding my care with precision and empathy. Tammy, my RN case manager, was a warrior in scrubs--her experience and compassion unmatched. Lucy, my hospice aide, didn't just help with daily tasks; she helped me reclaim parts of myself I thought I'd buried. And Lisa, the social worker, gave me a voice again--opening doors to resources I never knew existed. They didn't treat me like a case. They treated me like a person. New Century Hospice offers: * Regular nursing visits and health monitoring * Medication coordination and adjustment * Help with bathing, grooming, and household tasks * Emotional and logistical support tailored to each patient Their care is 24/7, not just in theory but in practice. Whether I needed medical attention or someone to sit quietly beside me, they were there. Hospice isn't the end--it's a new chapter. And New Century Hospice helped me write mine with dignity, courage, and peace. --David Hall

Hello, My family and…read moreI turned to New Century Hospice during a very difficult time, and we didn't know what to expect. However, their outstanding care and compassion made all the difference. Here are some of the amazing things they did: * Jessie Trevino answered texts and phone calls late at night while we determined which company was the best fit. * The equipment was delivered and set up prior to my wife being returned home from the hospital. * The nurses showed us how to dispense medication. They were kind and supportive especially when delivering bad news. * Whenever we called for help, nursing staff came to our home, took vitals, and answered questions. * They were professional when she passed, did the required notification, and processed the death certificate promptly. We highly recommend New Century Hospice for their exceptional care and dedication.

I approached her and said madam you just drove up on our blvd could you please move your vehicle immediately. She said the blvd belongs to the city! I said that's correct, but as a homeowner for nearly 30 years we maintain the BLVD. She appeared running late approximately 3:50pm - she ran off with her vehicle running and it appeared she may have a pet or a child inside as the her vehicle and ac were running. Nearly 45 minutes later she came out. We politely asked her to back up but she drove forward and she almost ran me over and squealed away as the police went after her. We called 911 thinking a pet or child was inside. She would not identify herself: middle age, blond, Hispanic female - a so called Christus Home Health Care 5.20 4 PM 5105 Yokosuka Drive. Donna came to Mom's home and evaluated her, her needs and our needs. It was like talking to a relative and Donna really cared about Mom's situation. You see, we had just lost our Father to cancer and he was Mom's caregiver. Mom really wanted to stay in her home, so I instantly thought of Home Instead Senior Care. I had always heard they were a good company and as a Registered Nurse I wanted to get an A+ agency for Mom. After we agreed to sign up for the services Donna brought in Dawn who would be Mom's caregiver and this started an instant friendship between Mom and Dawn. Dawn made Mom feel safe, clean and was able to assure us that she was being taken care of. When you need help for your loved one, please seriously consider the top company: Home Instead Senior Care.
