I have waited years to remove some old wallpaper in the family room and kitchen. I finally took the plunge and hired Chuck to remove the wallpaper and paint the kitchen and family room. Chuck was easy to communicate with. He has high work ethics, pays attention to details and produces quality results. He arrives when he says he will. Chuck helped select colors, when requested. I requested that he also restain the front door since direct sunlight had badly faded the stain. Chuck sanded and restained the door. Looks great!! The entry iron gate needed to be repainted and he painted it black. Nice job! Chuck is the best! Local Morgan Hill guy who really takes pride in his work. He is easy to reach and will get you a quote right away. He is easy to have around on a long project. We had our kitchen, bathroom cabinets, and hallway cabinets repainted from Espresso brown to White. Chuck was able to do this while we were away for a week and a half and we came back to a whole new look to our home! As I have an older house with doors and trim painted in oil, he took the time to sand smooth where paint had chipped and prime before painting. I would give zero star if I could. Chuck LIED to us in the face. Here is the story. Chuck first paint a bedroom for us. No problem there. He showed up when he said he would and completed the job. I paid him and all is well. Months later we gave him our business of painting the exterior of our house. He gave a quote and did power wash the house for prep. The day when he is supposed to start the job, he texted my husband demanding a large amount of money up front. This was not discussed before hand at all. We weren't comfortable with that because we have been burned before by paying up front. We were willing to pay for the paint cost that he had spent but that wasn't good enough for him. A bit of back and forth, he decided not to take the job. A few days later, We thought we would compromise and give him a bit more up front but not as much as what he asked for initially, he said ok. He came to bring over the paint he bought because he said he didn't have enough room to store them. He then talked to my husband to discuss more about the job and he looked at my husband and said he will come back in a few weeks to start the job. Feeling that we reached a good understanding, we paid him for the paint. Well, about a week before the start date, he texted and told my husband he is not going to do the job. He did not have the intention of doing the job, and LIED so he could get paid for the paint he bought. We had a deadline, so it was not easy to find another painter in such short time. I hired Chuck White to paint my small childhood bedroom white to turn it into a guest bedroom. The room was covered in old wallpaper and looked pretty awful. Chuck started the job immediately after providing me with a price quote, was friendly, and works very fast. The job took two separate days and he was easy to work with, respectful and kind. The price he originally quoted me is exactly what it cost so there were no surprises. The room now looks beautiful, white with a great white trim and he even did the closet which was a problem area before due to moisture in the walls. He covered and worked around the bed in the middle of the room which was a major relief because the bed would have been difficult to take out of the room. He's also very respectful of social distancing/ mask wearing, and highly communicative throughout the process. This is the first time I have used White Painting and it was a very positive experience. Chuck was professional when he arrived to give us our estimate, he covered all the details of the places we needed painted in our townhouse. He arrived on time and finished the job quickly. Our three story townhouse looks great! He even touched up some areas that were not on the estimate. He texted me for approval on two rooms that had not been included, and never asked for payment upfront. I also checked with the contractors license board, his license is active and in good standing.
