Excellent experience at this MRI center with my early-morning appointment. First of all, its in a…read moremodern professional office building with a spacious parking lot. Free parking is a big plus in White Plains. The medical office is well-appointed and the receptionists/medical assistants were very friendly and helpful. Allow time for filling forms, and possibly changing into scrubs. This was my first time sitting upright in an open MRI. What a marvelous improvement from my previous MRI (in a different facility) laying on my back for a closed MRI. With earplugs the MRI noise was moderate and easy to bear. And, I was quite comfortable sitting through the 30 minute process watching a home improvement show on the wall-mounted HDTV. My actual score for this facility is 4.5 stars. I took off just a half star for the MRI tech who, although professional, efficient, and informative during the process, had a stern demeanor. I probably should cut him some slack. He might've been facing a brutal schedule that day.

They sent me a bill for $592.00 after being paid by my insurance carrier. I called them and they said they'd look into it and then sent a second bill for the same amount...REALLY ! I had to spend another 30 minutes with my insurance carrier to get the check number, day they cashed it, claim reference number, etc. etc. etc. Then call back to WPR Associates. Can you say attempted rip-off. How many patients just send a check?

The radiologist helped my son to feel welcome and comfortable and permitted me to sit outside as he was scanned. If there is one area of improvement is to clearly indicate that the imaging center is located at the back of the building. We parked at the front of the building and was redirected to walk around outside to the back. If someone who was dropped off was in serious pain, this would have been an uncomfortable walk.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would…read more I have been going to New Rochelle Radiology for my annual mammogram for the past three years, and these visits were always treated correctly as preventive services and fully covered by my insurance. This year, despite it being the exact same routine screening ordered by my doctor, they submitted incorrect procedure and diagnosis codes, resulting in an unexpected bill of $381.86. I spent significant time contacting both my insurance company and their billing department to get this resolved. My insurance indicated the issue was due to how the service was coded. However, New Rochelle Radiology's billing department refused to correct what appears to be a clear error. Instead of working toward a resolution, they escalated the situation by sending the bill to a collections agency while the dispute was still ongoing. This is completely unacceptable. Patients should not be penalized for provider billing mistakes, nor should they be subjected to collections over a disputed charge. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to fix their own error is deeply concerning. Avoid this place!

The tech was pretty businesslike when doing her work, but she was professional as well. Overall, while getting your breasts squished between panes of glass isn't the most comfortable experience in general, they do a good job of making it a s good experience as they can.
