This dentist is an absolute BUTCHER based on my own personal experience, and in my opinion! I want…read moreto spare as many people as possible from going through what I went through. I trusted and turned to Google reviews when I wanted to find a local dentist back in 2018, which were plentiful with rave reviews for Dr. Layton back then, and many of these same reviews are still posted here. It's easy to buy reviews with $10 Starbucks gift cards or by having friends or family members write them for you. I have suffered ever since Dr. Layton laid his hands on me back in 2018. He performed unnecessary procedures on four of my back teeth, advising me that I needed crowns, when really I only needed simple fillings, but he talked me into it. Dr. Layton performed gum surgery on me WITHOUT MY CONSENT and I've never seen so much blood. Within hours of him cutting into my gums I was at the beginning stages of sepsis, with green puss-infected gums and I had a severe infection which took many months to clear up, thanks to the antibiotic liquid I was given by the prosthodontist who helped me. Dr. Layton had the audacity to tell me that my gums were "healing perfectly" when I made an emergency visit the next morning, and he made me beg him for antibiotics telling me that they "weren't necessary" when they were urgently required. He was very dismissive towards me and incredibly rude. I couldn't sleep as a result of the level of pain I endured for several days, and because he also adjusted my bite on one side, again WITHOUT MY CONSENT, I couldn't close my mouth for a few days until I found an excellent specialist to begin the process of undoing all the damage. Further, I ended up requiring root canals under all 4 teeth as Dr. Layton ground my teeth down so much that my nerves were exposed and damaged. And now I'll have to worry about my new restorative crowns shifting for the rest of my life because of Dr. Layton. This dentist has caused me thousands and thousands of dollars worth of reconstructive work and tremendous physical pain. I spent nearly $8,000 for his exorbitant fees and another $20,000 + for all of the restorative work I required. This involved 7 months of reconstructive work with trips back and forth into Vancouver that involved caring, skilled professionals that took pity on me for what I'd endured and even reduced their own fees to help me out. Dr. Layton doesn't even deserve the 1-star rating I'm giving him (the minimum allowed on Google Reviews). Just because a dentist is licensed to practice, doesn't mean they will give you "Dental Care," and by the same token doesn't mean they should be allowed to continue practicing!!! This dentist is one I'd truly recommend AVOIDING at all costs, unless you want to be fleeced, and end up requiring major reconstructive dentistry, like I did. Shame on you Dr. Layton!!! And shame on you too Sulva and Becky (his assistants) for going along with Dr. Layton's shady and unethical practices!!

My lower tooth was giving me pain on and off for some time, and now th upper is giving me problem,…read moreAs I in senior year have only few teeth left so I need all of what are left. Decided to have root canals. My old dentist is retiring, looking through Internet came up the Peace Arch Dental which is near by. Made an appointment for the next Monday in the morning After checked up and Xrays Dr. Layton advised me to have root canals on both teeth, that's what I have in mind so decision was quick yes. DR.Layton said come back at 2 PM and they will work on it. I thought it would be standard procedures like casting drilling root canals filling etc. for several visits. When I went back in the afternoon, Dr. Layton said it will all be done in new digital high tech ( I have never experience with that kind of procedure) It started with scanning the teeth and the surrounding area with pencil size sensor ( No Xray) and the the computer construct 3D Map ( 3 dimension ) of the teeth and gums like 3D pictures. Then Dr. Layton start digging out the root canals in the upper tooth, when finished the canals, he then re scan the new filling into the computer, and he showed me how he design the crown from the 3D image in the computer. after few minute, the crown is beautifully finish of what it will looks in my mouth when look at the computer screen. Then he said he is sending the design crown to his machine shop. Do you have machine shop?(I thought real shop with many technicians) I asked, he said yes I'll show to you. Just next few feet he showed me a glass door inside there was miniature milling machine the size of a home printer. Inside the glass cover there were 2 high speed drill type cutters facing each other and in the center an arm holding a ceramic cube about the size 1 inch cube. As I was looking the machine It has received the AI (Artificial Intelligent) that Dr Layton has sent from the computer. All the 3 arms moved about follow the AI instruction cutting to the ceramic cube with fresh water spray to clean and cool off the works. It will take about 15 minutes Dr Layton said and lets do the other tooth. When the crowns are finish and in place it looks like my original teeth. From 2 PM to about 4:30 PM, all 2 root canals and 2 beautifully crowns are in place fit nicely, plus the high tech live show, Wow what an experience. If I have done it in traditional easy it will take 3 to 4 visits to the dentist office. Dr. Layton and the staffs were very efficient and friendly I felt at home even this was my first time visit to Peace Arch dental. I fully recommended Peace Arch Dental to all ages if they have dental problem.

My family and I have been patients at Finch Tree Dental for over 15 years, and I can honestly say…read morethe level of care has been exceptional from day one. Both of my children grew up coming here, and I wouldn't trust our smiles to anyone else. Dr. Sandra Finch and her team consistently provide outstanding dentistry with a level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care that is hard to find. They take the time to explain treatment options, answer questions thoroughly, and make every visit as comfortable as possible. What has impressed me most over the years is their unwavering commitment to quality. You never feel rushed, and it's clear they are focused on achieving the best possible long-term outcome rather than the quickest solution. Whether it's routine preventive care or more complex dental work, I've always felt confident that we're receiving exceptional treatment. The office is welcoming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and appointments are always well organized. After more than 15 years as a patient, I frequently recommend Finch Tree Dental to friends and family looking for a dentist who truly cares and consistently delivers outstanding results. I live in Washington State, and even with the drive across the border, it's absolutely worth it. The favorable exchange rate is an added bonus, but the real reason I continue making the trip is the exceptional quality of care. I simply wouldn't go anywhere else.
