**My username is an alias, for privacy reasons. I'm a legitimate patient**…read more Dr. Alvarez or her practice or both are either incompetent, insane, or badly run. I was recommended to Dr. Alvarez by a friend who is a patient of hers. My PCP sent over the referral. I was not allowed to make an appointment with Dr. Alvarez when I called them. First, I was told there had to be a "transfer of care" because I previously saw a doctor in their group (GI Alliance) two years ago. They said that the transfer was pending, a mere formality, and that I should hear back later that day. No one ever called me back so today, I drove over to their office. I spoke with the Office Manager, who flat out said Dr. Alvarez had looked over my chart and is refusing to see me. NO REASON WAS GIVEN. Huh?? That is a first for me. I've never been denied to see a doctor for non-insurance reasons. My PCP's office then called over to them and was again told about the "transfer of care". That's not what the Office Manager had stressed to me. Seems no one has any clue what's going on here and I still have no real idea why Dr. Alvarez is refusing to see me. I urge anyone wanting a referral for her to exercise caution...and consider looking elsewhere. Clearly, there is a lack of transparency here and no real evidence of a doctor who really cares...certainly not about future patients or their health.

Becoming a doctor granted me the art of being able to connect with people while treating their disease and/or ailments. In conclusion, patient's concerns and preferences are always a priority in my mind on forming treatment plans and I feel this is an important part to maintaining the patient-to- physician relationship and key to treating disease.

I am a new patient of Dr. Goff, and my experience so far has been excellent…read more Mt first appointment coincided with the 4/8/24 solar eclipse, and the doctor and I watched it together from the south side of the building before the medical appointment commenced. We reviewed my medical history, lifestyle habits, and diet, and he ordered a number of tests that I had never had before (two different kind of heart scans to check for blockage), along with the standard blood work and EKG. My follow up appointment to review all test results and create a treatment plan accordingly is scheduled for 4/23/24, two weeks after my initial appointment. I expect my excellent treatment to continue, and will update my reviews here as necessary over time.

If you want to waste your time, and not get to see the doctor, this is the place to go. I have…read morenever seen such ineffective staff in my entire existence. My appointment was at 10:00am and instead of providing a patient portal where I can complete the paperwork, I had to complete paperwork in the office. It's a waste of time and efficiency. Also, I waited while Jenn, held my driver's license and insurance card for 5 minutes while she had a personal conversation with another team member. Ridiculous! After waiting for over 30 minutes, I witnessed three patients being brought back to see the doctor. However, that's not the issue, after 30 plus minutes of waiting, I heard Jenn say, she has to enter my paperwork in the system. I asked her not to because after all, I had to return to work and it was very clear that Jenn was more interested in carrying on personal conversations instead of doing her job! My time was wasted today. The problem is not with the doctor but with his staff and he needs to know that his staff is the primary cause of him not getting new patients.
