My client has been a patient of this doctor for many years and has always valued the medical care provided. However, the experience at the front desk during the most recent visit was very disappointing. The interaction with the reception staff -- including one staff member who appeared to be named Jeany (or a similar name) -- felt dismissive and unprofessional. Both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking receptionists handled the situation in a manner that came across as lacking patience and compassion. This was particularly concerning because the patient is an older adult who needed some guidance with the administrative process. Healthcare environments should ensure that all patients, especially seniors, are treated with dignity, patience, and respect. It is my sincere hope that the doctor or clinic management becomes aware of this concern and reviews how patients are treated at the front desk, so that future patients receive the support and professionalism they deserve. read more

I am giving two stars because I like the actual doctors, but they are so hard to reach when you're not in the office. I'm on day 4 of requesting a refill with no response. Day 1, I requested the refill in person. Days 2, 3 and 4, over the phone and via email. Radio silence. If you need meds promptly, do not go to this office. read more

I am a new patient of Dr. Goff, and my experience so far has been excellent. Mt first appointment coincided with the 4/8/24 solar eclipse, and the doctor and I watched it together from the south side of the building before the medical appointment commenced. We reviewed my medical history, lifestyle habits, and diet, and he ordered a number of tests that I had never had before (two different kind of heart scans to check for blockage), along with the standard blood work and EKG. My follow up appointment to review all test results and create a treatment plan accordingly is scheduled for 4/23/24, two weeks after my initial appointment. Dr Goff is my new doctor and I have been very impressed with him. I am tough on doctors and if my doctors were reviewing me, some doctors would probably say I am not their best patient. I can be judgmental and critical, but I think that is what should also make my review of Dr Goff and his excellent staff stand out to you if you are considering a new doctor. I was referred to Dr Goff by my oncologist who I really respect who told me Dr Goff was an excellent physician. He also said Dr Goff is "thorough" and I am glad he gave me the heads up. Dr Goff IS thorough, but great doctors are. It can be a little scary at first for someone like me who is intimidated by the medical process, but Dr Goff and his staff explain everything and make you feel as comfortable as you can possibly be through it all. Once Dr Goff knows what all is going on with you, he sits down with you and develops a comprehensive treatment/management plan and answers all questions you have. My news was not all great news (but not all bad either) after several health assessments, but what I can say is that after Dr Goff's consultation, I feel very good about the preventative plan he put me on and I am already feeling better than I have felt in years. I was under Dr Goff's care for two years. He has proven to be reckless in his recommendations and overly generous in prescribing often unnecessary medications, my guess is to keep the patient dependent on him: follow-ups, refills, new tests (often not needed just to keep you coming back) etc. His requests for frequent visits became suspect given that I am a healthy person, athletic and have no medical complaints and the wait is always over 1 hr, as if no respect to patient's time. The doctor doesn't share side effects of meds with patience which themselves could create new and serious health conditions. I walked into his clinic with no medications prescribed for me by my esteemed doctors at Stanford University Medical Center. In short order, Dr. Goff prescribed me 6+ medications, all unnecessary. Besides his poor bed side manners, his equipments are not reliable (showing wrong readings). He even pressed me over a period of two years to get my gall baldder removed and even referred me to a specialist to perform the operation. After much resistance, he agreed to request a C-Scan and results showed it is 93% effective. Shouldn't he have done that from the start? He could have caused me serious deterioration of quality of life not to mention endless medical consequences for the rest of my life. I have since stopped all his prescribed medications and never felt better. I don't usually throw baseless conclusions but I lost trust in this doctor. Assuming you seek quality and verifiable medical results, I advise against seeking this doctor's care at any cost. read more

I really liked Dr Goff as well as Jamie but this office has screwed me. From sending the incorrect dosage of my medicine three times back to back. Making me wait 5 days for my refill. To being billed insane amounts that I was never made aware of. Stacy Kindell is one of the worst individuals I have ever come across. She doesn't care at all. It takes her weeks to do anything, you have to constantly bombard her and the results or resolution won't even be solved. I waited two weeks to find out a simple monthly urine sample will cost me $400 every time. This was of course after doing two tests. I honestly don't even think she tried to resolve the issue. Im not rich. I pay out of pocket. I am trying my best to take care of my health but that clearly isnt even possible. Now I'm 800 in debt. I have no time to find another doctor before my next refill. So I guess that'll put me at $1200 in debt. I have been so stressed out and I can't get anyone to actually help me. Anyone I talk to sends me to her. And I can't get nowhere with her. As much as I liked the doctor and even the other staff members there is no way I can pay 400 a month for a simple urine test in order to get my medicine refilled. That is unbelievable. I love going to Gary Goff. I have many medical issues that are very complicated and he has really listened to me and looked at test results and figured out all my medical needs. I feel better than I have in years. He is very intelligent and kind and I highly recommend him. He has awesome referrals to specialist and to surgeons. I have liked them all. He takes extra time to figure all your needs out so I never mind waiting to see him. I usually get right in but on those occasions he is late I know he is helping someone figure out their needs like he does for me. Most doctors go way yo fast when they see us but with great communication and being patient he can figure you out and he takes the time to really listen to you. The office gives you a total runaround; the phone system is a huge loop, and they just do not care about their patients. When she arrived for the actual appointment she was told they don't do lab work on Saturday. Waited 52 minutes, then let them know she would find another Doctor. They said ok. I too will be leaving. He needs a professional manager of the office. Update - went in today for my final appointment. It was an 8:00 and at 7:55 the doors were still locked with 3 folks standing outside. When I got in I was told that my appointment was on Tuesday of next week. I set the appointment 6 months prior so I could do it while on spring break. To say the office is lacking in organization, knowledge, and customer service is a vast understatement. The girls behind the desk are young and obviously inexperienced, not to mention ignorant. I was so excited to come back to Dr Goff as we switched insurance and wasn't able to see him for two years. Today I came back and I never ended up even seeing him. I booked my appointment 3 weeks ago because I asked for the first appointment in the am or the first appointment after lunch. My appointment was at 1:30 and I walked out of the office at 2:20 without seeing the Dr. This offices organization and customer service is awful. When I told the women at the front desk I was leaving she asked me for a couple more mins as if waiting 50 mins already wasn't enough. Dr Goff was a great Dr and if you have hours to wait somewhere to be seen then I would recommend but if you run your own business (like I do ) and have children and a schedule this office is not for you. While I feel that Dr. Goff is an exceptional PCP, his office may be lacking organization and structure. I typically wait an hour or more to be seen by the doctor. Additionally, the office never returns phone calls. The office does not provide clinicals or accurate CPT codes when requesting diagnostic work, such as CPT codes resulting in the insurance company denying coverage. I had my CT Scan denied in November because Dr. Goff's office did send a cpt code. I have been leaving message with Dr. Goff since then, as well as my insurance company with no response. read more

This was our dr. when we lived in Dallas 1.5 years ago, we were just trying to find someone local within our network who had an opening and he was it, so...to put the entire experience into a semi-nutshell, this doctor tells you your symptoms, because he sure doesn't listen to what you're saying. Schedules you for various tests every time you go in to the office, and then when you call to get results? You're told the doctor 'doesn't do that over the phone' and you're scheduled to go back in to GET your results, at which time yet another appt. for another test is scheduled/go back to get results/another test is scheduled/go back to get results and until you get off that merry-go-round you're in and out of that office like a revolving door and it is not cheap. Blood work is sent out to somewhere in Boston (and crazy expensive when you're billed, and yes...you're billed), I believe- what on earth for? It's Dallas-freaking-Texas, for crying out loud, the city is MASSIVE...Getting a hold of anyone at the office is just out of the question unless you're trying to make an appt., then the phone is answered pretty quickly. Dr. Goff is my new doctor! I have a lot of different issues, and he took care of all of them. His office is awesome, and his staff is wonderful. They have an in-house lab, and doppler and heart monitors in office. Dr. Marco is awesome as well. It was super easy to make the appointment on ZocDoc, and I got in at a time that was convenient for me and my work schedule. All of the staff wore super protective gear, and I felt totally safe. Dr. Gary Goff, M.D. is an excellent physician who is really an expert in his field and is highly regarded by his medical peers. Further, he runs a wonderful office which he has staffed with a true "team" of professionals. Not only do they "know their stuff," they are friendly and kind and thorough. I read a couple of reviews on the Yelp site which were negative in their comments, but my evaluation is that those were prompted ironically from those individuals' misplaced reactions to this office's dedication to doing medical procedures totally correctly. In other words, if you are looking for superb medical care then this is the office for you; But this is not a prescription mill for the kind of people inappropriately looking for unjustifiable opioids. However, for those (including senior citizens) wanting proper diagnosis and wonderful caring treatment, it is the place. Absolute nightmare!!! I had scheduled an appointment at 9:30a for a reason. I was a new patient, so I arrived around 9:25a and promptly filled out all paperwork. I took a seat in the waiting area along with one other patient. Within about 15 minutes, the waiting patient was called and went to the back. I was the only one in the waiting area until about 10a, then a family came in. At that point I had been waiting 30 minutes, so I asked the receptionist how much longer. Her reply was that there were only 3 rooms and when a room is available they would call me back. I patiently waited an additional 30 minutes, a total of 1 hour elapsed. Even if you specifically ask to make an appt. with him, himself and nobody else, you will be seen by the nurse practitioner, who is not the friendliest person, & obviously not as qualified. Billing department is ridiculous, doesn't return calls and makes mistake after mistake. Get ready to spend HOURS figuring things out with your insurance co. The main reason that we all love Dr. Goff so much is that he treats all of us as if we are his most important patient. I truly appreciate the personal attention that Dr. Goff is willing to give to his patients. His practice is showing growing pains, and is not as efficient as I would like, but I persevere and am rewarded with the services of a great doctor. I never been neglected by a doctor like I did in this office. I guess being a senior I'm not very important to them. I waited 5 -WEEKS for a referral to an oncologist. They informed me a had cancer in one lung and I need to do follow up very soon with it and not delay. So now five weeks later I'm still waiting for that referral. I usually don't write reviews but I feel compelled to write this one. I have never experienced a more unprofessional doctor. As many of the reviews have stated the wait times at his office is a problem, the last two times I was there I waited over hour in an exam room without ever being seen. The last time I finally left and merely sent him a text to let him know that I had waited an hour without being seen and had to leave for an appointment. He was nice enough to call later that evening to follow up. What transpired next was shocking. He was very defensive said it was normal for someone to wait over an hour and that if I wanted to be seen on a timely fashion I should get a concierge doctor and he no longer wanted to see me as a patient. All I really expected was sorry you had to wait but instead I got very defensive, angry and combative response. I just recently asked for my records to give to a new doctor and it was again a shock to see that all previous records were fine but the last record he decided to fill it with personal attacks missing information and lies. One mistruth was that I refused to take my Cholesterol medicine. I merely told him that I was concerned with statin medicines due to their side effects and if there were other options. I post this so that other people can see this and see if there is a pattern of this Dr who clearly only cares about his perceptions and not the well being of his patients which I think should be the number one attribute in a good Dr. read more

I stopped seeing dr Goff on 2016 because of his extreme lack of bedside manner. Fast forward to now. I'm dealing with some concerning medical issues and have an appointment at MD Anderson tomorrow. I have been leaving voicemails for weeks trying to get my medical records. No one ever called me back so I tried again today. The admin said she would send my paperwork over. After 3 failed attempts I called back and she said it must be my email.(I have been working all morning and receiving emails with no problems). She gets combative so then I asked for the office manager who I believe is the doctors wife. She kept interrupting me constantly and when I asked her to stop and let me talk she said "I can't help you" and hung up. Tried calling back and they kept forwarding me to voicemail. Who does this? I potentially have cancer and all I asked for was my records. No one ever apologized for not returning my calls for weeks... they just acted like it was my fault. I have never been so upset with a doctors office in my life. I hope they will sleep well at night knowing they treat their patients this way. I wouldn't go back to this place if you paid me. Something just really turns me off about an uncaring, unprofessional, and unresponsive medical staff. read more

It literally ALWAYS takes 45 minutes to and hour to be seen, even with an appointment. Everything seems frantically organized and the patients bear the brunt of this disorganization.
