I've got nothing to say but good things about this dealership's vendors/management. Sold me a trailer and were very flexible. When I sold it, it promptly gave me a check back for warranty. I had an "eh" experience with the service guys. They were clearly in a rush. This was my first trailer, and I was not informed that I should disconnect my trailer from my car. So I incurred a $200 battery replacement on my truck when I woke up the next day to a dead battery. Could be excused as a "rookie mistake" but for the fact that they additionally did not explain how to hook up/take down my weight distribution hitch which caused a lot of problems down the line. When I asked the tech to "show me" he just vaguely pointed at some things and "youll figure it out". Took about 2 hours to get it off the 1st time. 1 hour the 2nd and nearly jammed the ball. read more

Had my RV in to replace flooring on two slides, And repair or replace door lock, Two pieced the bottom of large slide, Destroyed top corner of bulb seal.. Rtv'ed mess left in corner.. Didn't clean any surfaces, saggy bottom of other slide... Shoddy work.. Will never go back read more

Just flied a claim with the BBB re this place. Have been completely taken for over 1700.00. I left my T.T. With them for a couple of very minor repairs/maintenance and an inspection that I paid 999.00 for. My trailer was fine when I dropped it off. After I got it back from them, the refrigerator didn't work. Never had a problem with it before. The furnace had wires cut and the duct work was not even connected-Never had any problems with my furnace. But when I picked it up, they told me that it wasn't working and "needed a part that would only take a couple days to get, but they didn't have time to get it" they had the T.T. Two weeks. AND there was NOTHING WRONG with my furnace prior to taking to this place. No one has ever even worked on my furnace, so a few days after I got it back from them, and I was in rural South Dakota, I had to have a mobile tech come fix my refrigerator and so he looked at the furnace also, he took pics, and showed me how wires had been cut and The duct work was even connected. They are the only ppl that have ever worked on my furnace -my T.T. Is only 5yrs old. Also never had a problem with the HWH, but it's now room temp water. The issue with my refrigerator was that it was not getting 12 v power. To reiterate, I paid for a 999.00 inspection pkg that they explained to me would inspect mulptile systems of the trailer. All appliance are included. LP, tires etc.... when I picked up my trailer I had to put air in the tires myself!! I had explained to them that I was taking my trailer to a remote location in South Dakota to work, I'm a nurse. There are little to no services in this area. My trailer was FINE .. I just wanted to BE SAFE and have everything inspected before I got to this area. But I get here and have no refrigerator, no hot water! And my furnace has been mutilated. And I paid these ppl over 1700.00. The service manger "Ronnie" will not return my calls. I've called 3 times explained everything to the girl at the desk who couldn't care less.. I still have to put out more money to actually FIX what they have screwed up.. I should have never took my trailer there. Never again. read more

This is the place where me and my husband purchased our first brand new camper and then whenever we needed the roof repaired due to a leak our warranty wouldn't cover it ! Our camper was still under warranty but The owner said our warranties were voided because we didn't bring it in for a free inspection that was held on on a Saturday . I argued and got no where with her . We just went to a Rv repair shop to get it fixed . The only reason we purchased a new camper was because of the Warranty's. read more

Good place to go and check out RV's without being pressured by a sales person. But one is there to help if you need one.

When we bought the camper the sales person was very nice. There were things that needed to be fixed and the coating that we paid for needed to be put on. We took the camper back for repairs and coating that was supposed to take one week it has now been two weeks with no end in sight. When I call the person I have to talk to is never there or is always busy and never calls back. Would I ever buy from White Sands RV again? That is a big NO read more

I had a horrible experience at White Sands RV in Foley, AL. I am a 75 year old woman , who just wanted something a little more comfortable to live in. I went in there and the showed me this 2000 winnebago itasca. They swore to me that the thing was in prime working condition and of course everything has fallen apart on it. I can't even drive it. And on top of it all the person who did my paper work said I could get an extended waranty then after I signed the papers, she said "oops, my mistake, i was wrong and you can't get an extended warranty after all", so now I can't even get the thing fixed on it that doesn't work. It is pretty bad that a place needs money so bad that they would screw a 75 year old woman who lives on a small SS check. Shame on you! read more

Well I got the Forest River back again after being at White Sands RV for another week for an on going roof repair on a 6 moth old Forest River FR3 28DS. The repair looks worse that the last one and it started to bubble up again on the 30 mile drive home. Plus other work as simple as replacing two maker lights on the roof was not done.They broke the antenna loose from the roof the last time it was in and it looks like the only thing holding it up is the roof cement. They still don't have a shop foreman and from what I'm told from employees they are short techs and are having a time finding new ones. It's pretty bad when you are told by office staff it's been a really bad week. To that I would say ,You know it's not my problem! To say they are struggling is to put it lightly! It only hurts your customers when you can't deliver ANY customer service ! I wish I had never sat foot in White Sands but I was directed there by Forest River. I'm done with Forest River and White Sands RV! I have ordered a New Motor Home and just hope I can drive this FR3 in at trade time without the roof blowing back. read more

Was directed to White Sands RV by THOR for some recall work.The folks were acomodating and friendly, and as far as i can determine, they did the required work competently. While the rig was there, I asked them to do a lube, oil and filter on the Ford V10 gasoline engine. I was astounded to be charged $258 for the LOF. The oil price was what I expected as was the filter, but $178 for labor???? Really??? I have done a LOF on this rig in less than half an hour! I am particularly disappointed since I thought they were going to be my go-to shop for RV work. Guess I'll keep on looking. read more

Bought a Forest River RV from these people three years ago. When we bought it, we asked if they would put a tv in the bedroom for us. "No problem" they said. The next day when we went back to sign the papers, we were told she, (the owner) was at Wal Mart getting the TV. The camper was brought to us that day. No TV in bedroom. No big deal.. that was lie #1. Next, we started having trouble with the refrigerator right off the bat. Called them out several times but they always told us there was nothing wrong with it...lie #2. We have had problems with it not cooling and running since we bought the RV. And we were charged a 45.00 service call each trip even though it was still under warranty. We are now having to replace refrigerator because it is totally out. My advice is to stay away from White Sands. They are your best friends until the sale is complete. Then they don't know you. And, there is definitely no service after the sale! read more

NEVER buy an RV from White Sands RV in Summerdale, AL. They are your best friends while trying to cement your "deal", and your worst enemy once they have your money. We bought a new motorhome from White Sands in December 2016. When we arrived to pick it up, after having unloaded our full fifth wheel for trade-in, we discovered a lot of water in the motorhome's largest basement. We had no choice then but to take it as is, with their promise to fix it. They never did. Two years later and it and two other compartments still leak. LIE #1. On our first trip on the highway in our new motorhome, our lives were put in danger due to a tire valve extender that had been improperly installed, causing a flat rear tire. White Sands had assured us it was safe. LIE #2. Since then we have been plagued with water leaks. We have begged White Sands to look for their sources and to fix them. They would not even give us an appointment. When we found the source of the leaks ourselves, they still would not service the unit. Constant LIES about not having time, etc. Finally, the service manager told us it was WE who were supposed to tell HIM when we were available. That was the most blatant LIE of all.....and after more than 3 months of us constantly calling to find out when we were on the schedule. Our RV water leaks were never repaired by White Sands, never even looked at by them. Most of the minor repairs they did make in two years were not done right. [A Fantastic Fan put in with the wrong cover, preventing incoming air; Dicor put on a roof and left in a glob that did not seal; footprints left on the fiberglass roof; basement door gaskets supposedly changed that did not solve the leaking basement problems; a window that was removed for reseal (and that we paid for) that did not need to be; condensation that never stopped in the taillights; a window "fix" so faulty that the window can now only be open with hard pressure...this was their repair for a leaky window frame. Etc, etc.] Do NOT believe they have a Service Dept. and do NOT use it if they ever offer it. You will be worse off in the end. read more
