I redownloaded the whole Yelp app just to copy my review to warn others. It's 2:38 AM and I can't sleep due to seeing 5-6 roaches in a short time frame and mouse droppings, not to mention my feet were DIRTY from walking on the floors for three hours. I've escalated the issue to Airbnb due to the host not being able to accommodate us another unit with our specific ADA needs (understandably, I don't expect them to have something so specific on a whim) but I DO expect a clean place to stay. They offered us a refund to leave (before I found the mouse poop) but it was 10 PM and we're 8 hours from home?????????????????? 0/10 do not recommend unless you like sleeping with a family of roaches, maybe even mice. I would not eat off of ANYTHING in this house and I'm SO grateful we grabbed paper plates before we ate pizza. Update: they sent someone to spray the house and "clean up the mouse droppings." They vacuumed up the mouse droppings with no proper sanitation. I am in a war with the property over the cleaning fee. They believe since we had "clean sheets" and the counters were wiped off it was "clean". Mouse droppings are not clean. I was rude with the customer service rep after he proceeded to ask us why we stayed if we thought it was so gross. I reported the events all immediately as I found them around 10-11 PM timeframe after arriving at 8:30 PM. He then wanted to "please don't yell at me Maam" like he didn't just ask an extremely offensive question. Not to mention, my boyfriend had 3 hours of sleep the night prior due to work, not the companies problem, but also another reason we could not leave the night we arrived. We had one person sleep in their car and two others were going to, but found other arrangements. I asked him if he considered that clean in his house? We have a father who has specific ADA needs, we can't pick up and leave 8 hours away from home at 11 PM???? We did immediately find a new Airbnb this morning and White Shores is trying to hold onto my cleaning fee. I am appalled at how the owner handled this over a cleaning fee when we had four major issues in 3 hours of arriving due to CLEANLINESS, HEALTH, AND SANITATION. But according to the owner, mouse droppings and dirty floors is clean so WE get to pay to have the dirty house actually cleaned after the WORST 12 hours on a vacation. I can only assume he thinks that is also clean in his place of residence, which is disgusting. We were HAPPY to vacant the premises after we found more mouse droppings and informed the host. They asked us to vacant immediately like we were waiting on them when we were literally just waiting for our next request to be approved. read more

Great location with wrap around balcony, moderately clean with a lot of dust left on things and mold in the master bath floor. Master bed was like sleeping on the floor. The location and view were the positives. Also you'll need to make an extra stop to pick up a parking pass instead of them just leaving it in the rental. read more

Jaqueline was amazing at problem solving!!! So not on white shores but on the The Rookery unit 3501 DO NOT RENT !!!!! We arrived it was filthy , animal hair everywhere like they sacrificed a poodle, urine staining on the master bed pad, stained old pillows and throw pillows, peeling paint, old food on the silverware..... they sent the cleaners back out which was good but still the place was dirty ... the seat covers were filthy I had to wash - the couch required professional cleaners ..... they did not give the cleaning fee back but we had to rewash dishes - the kitchen window was so filthy we couldn't see out of it - JUST BAD!!!! Then the AC went out, they had that fixed rapidly but if it can go wrong it will be here .... So don't stay at 3501- I still wish they would have returned the cleaning fee as the cleaners still left the seats filthy.... We left it in much better shape so whoever has it next - you are welcome !!! read more

After having a property booked for a friends birthday, we were told that we were no longer allowed to stay or have access to the property that we booked because of their unclear and unnecessary age restriction. Although others in our group met the age requirement, they would not let us transfer the reservation into their name. Not only was the man on the phone extremely rude and disrespectful, he called us 10 minutes before they closed AND when we were 30 minutes away to tell us this information. Why didn't we call to complain? Well, I spent about 2 hours looking for a different condo or hotel to go to and was not able to, which is understandable considering it was the week of 7/4. I also called White Shores Realty 3 times over a 2 day span and was not able to get a hold of anyone to address the issues. Day by day, issue after issue came up and new disappointments were made. We were only there for 4 days and I obviously did not want to waste any more time trying to solution the issues at hand in hopes the company would obviously see the issues we had and agree to a 50% refund. This would have compensated us for the unbelievable amount of unplanned money we ended up spending as well as closer to value for a condo that accommodates 6-8 people, which is what this condo provided. The listing is said to accommodate 13 guests but as you will see from the details and pictures below that could not be farther from the truth. From broken beds, broken pull out couch, towels, plates, bowls, cups and seating arrangements, this condo is not equipped with the right amount of pots/pans, dishes or baking needs to accommodate 13 people. The condo in the VRBO listing is false advertisement. The pictures that show side by side of what was "sold" to us and what was delivered. The furniture pictured is not what is there, and the pieces that are there are so run down that they cannot be safely used or were un-usable. We had also hoped to cook while we were there for at least 3 nights to save money, but we weren't able to do that because we had 1 small pot, 1 medium pot and no baking sheet. Kind of difficult to cook with those kinds of supplies for 12 people much less 13 people as the listing says this condo allows for. So we spent over $3200 on eating out while we were there which we had not planned for. The refrigerator temperature was so off (even though we had it on as cool as it would go) we had to put breast milk in the freezer just to make sure it didn't go bad. The ice in the freezer wasn't able to be used because it formed into 1 giant ice block every time it dispensed into the tray. Assuming there's a water line leak in the freezer that causes it all to freeze as a chunk. I am writing this review to bring awareness for other families so that you are not put in this position. Vacation is supposed to be easy, relaxing and time to get away from everyday chores. But this condo created more work for myself and the other adults there with me than any of us ever do at home. read more

White Shores Realty has been a total disappointment. We rented a condo in the Turquoise in Orange Beach 1808D to be exact. Upon arriving many many things were wrong with the condo. All pictures were documented along with emails. They dodged my phone calls and e-mails about our concerns. After being so frustrated because of dirty dishes, nasty carpets, dryer not working, and many other concerns. They finally replied to me after 4 days of calling and emailing basically to tell me nothing was going to happen and enjoy my trip. Never again will I rent or go through White Shores Realty. read more

While researching a place to stay for our annual beach trip in February of this year, I came across unit 2205D at the Turquoise Place. After reading the listed reviews, I had some concerns about the unit and I emailed WhiteShores with my concerns. I was assured (I have copies of all emails to prove it) that all listed items/concerns had been fixed or replaced. Absolute lie. Upon arrival, here is a list of all the things that are wrong with the unit that have not been fixed or replaced: 1. Gas grill has several broken knobs. One burner, out of 4, will ignite, but just barely. Puts out enough heat to cook a hamburger the size of a quarter. 2. Active gas leak. Cannot turn the gas to the grill on and stay on the balcony. 3. Vent-fan hood does not work at all. No fans, no lights 4. Broken bathroom door handle to the 2nd bath 5. No ice machine and the ice maker in the fridge is broken and barely works 6. Wine fridge broken/doesn't work 7. No blankets or comforters for bunkroom 8. Walked into the unit with a large sign placed over the master bathroom tub saying do not use. (Whiteshores did not bother to tell me that the master bath tub was out of service) 9. None of the tvs worked; I was able to fix this Contacted Whiteshores by email and phone twice, no reply. 1White Shores manages our condo in Ft. Morgan. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews. While there have been snafus along the way (2+ years now), their service has generally been good, certainly much better than the negative reviews would have you think. I love that you can see the rental futures on the website. Their cleaning people are very good. We also think that the management fees are very fair along with the rental fees. read more

I book a condo reservation through White Shores Reality, LLC operating out of Gulf Shores, Alabama for 4 nights over the Memorial Day weekend 2018. My 85-year-old parents live in the same building where we were going to be staying. Also, I rented a 3-bedroom unit to have accommodation my son who would be traveling from South Florida and my daughter who would be traveling from Atlanta with her family. We were going to have kind of a family get together over the holiday weekend. Seven days before I was to start my travels from Texas to Gulf Shores, I get a call from the forks at White Shores Reality informing me that my prepaid reservation is being canceled due to the owner of the condo unit having a change of mind and not wanting to make the unit available for this time period. Now I do understand that things happen and at times, they are just outside of your control; but a good business owner should work diligently to try to rectify these types of situation when they happen. Providing customer service is part of doing business and these days, providing good customer service is key to staying in business. The folks at White Shores Reality, LLC were not in the least bit interested in trying to help me. They did say that they had 2 other rentals that were available but at an extremely inflated price and the location was in Orange Beach which would be about 45-minute travel during this holiday weekend. I asked them to keep my money and work with me in trying for find suitable accommodations for me and my family, but they were not interested in trying to help me and decided to refund my money and wash their hands of this. Leaving me high and dry without any accommodations a week before this holiday weekend in a beach resort community. Kind of 'Good luck and so-long sucker you're on you own!!!' White Shores Reality, LLC is all about greed and doesn't know what customer service is. From reading the review on them; there is high probably you will experience some kind of problem and you will probably have a terrible customer experience. I booked a condo at Island Towers #503 for April 25-April 28. The unit was beautiful and clean. The price quoted to me was 765.39 plus 99.50 tax. When I received my invoice a 346.65 cleaning fee was added, bringing the total to 1211.54. After checking with several other agencies, a cleaning fee for that size condo in that area runs 140.00-165.00. When I spoke with the manager regarding this he told me "stop talking and let me talk". He then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not looking into additional fees before booking the property. He was extremely rude. Not only will I not use this company again for the service of their office, but the approximately 180.00 overcharge for the cleaning. We stay in this area twice a year for many, many years and have never experienced this type of problem through any other realtor. I booked a condo for $1526 on 1-2-2018. I called to add an extra day today and they informed me that there "IS NO RESERVATION"!! They blamed everything on VRBO-HOMEAWAY-EXPEDIA...even though they refused to accept it!!!!! Bottom line..the White Shores agent listed the condo at the wrong price!! The big problem is that NO ONE CALLED or EMAILED ME to tell me they made a mistake. They just cancelled the reservation. THANK GOD I called to add the day and found out. White Shores listed the condo at the wrong price, and they need to honor that price. A lot goes into planning a vacation. Booked our reservation in September for vacation in March. On our way down we called to see if we could add an extra day. They said we no longer have a reservation. They no longer own that property. We are still waiting for our refund. We had to find another property to rent. We will never use them again. They didn't even bother to call us. Worst company ever. RENTERS BEWARE!!! I booked a reservation 5 months in advance for the busy summer season. My reservation was cancelled BY WHITE SHORES due to the condo I that I had booked being sold by the property owner. As all of their similar properties were rented already I was told they could with nothing other than refund my money. This left me with NO PLACE TO STAY! Now there are very few properties to choose from left on the rental market and I am responsible for paying additional money for the shoddy places that are left. THEY OFFER NO PROTECTION FOR VACATION RENTALS! (I did receive an apology- unfortunately that does nothing to remedy my current situation.) If you want to stay in Gulf Shore, please look for a property manager with more integrity than White Shores. My daughter and her friends booked a White Shores property thru AirBnB for a spring break trip for their senior year in college. Unfortunately, she did not notice that their age restrictions are more stringent than AirBnB's. It wasn't listed on the main page for the property, but it was there on a "more info" link. Definitely her mistake for not reading all the "fine print." Upon booking, she quickly received an email confirmation from White Shores, which stated in bold red print at the top of the page that you must be 25 years old to rent their property. She immediately emailed White Shore and explained that she had missed that detail and no one in her group is older than 22. White Shore responded that she needed to deal with AirBnB. This all transpired within a 15-minute period. AirBnB claims to have contacted White Shore multiple times to request a refund, but was told refunds within 30 days were against their policy. I contacted White Shore directly on two occasions and was told my daughter needed to learn to "read the fine print." After more than a week of fighting through AirBnB, White shore finally agreed to a 50% refund and made it very clear that my daughter should feel "lucky" that they made an exception to their policy. In addition, after being told there was no way they would be allowed access to the property if they weren't 25, my daughter officially cancelled two days after booking. The property than reappeared as open for those dates on AirBnB, but 2 days later was shown to be booked. White Shore had rebooked the property but still kept 50% of their money. So AirBnB knew my daughter was only 21 and claims hosts have access to that information through the user's profile as well. They allowed her to book a property that requires a minimum age of 25. White Shore made it clear that they would refuse to provide them the service they paid for if they weren't over 25, but could still keep their money. In the end, White Shore ruined spring break for a group of college kids, but successfully taught them to "read the fine print." Again, please find someone better to book a rental from! read more

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that they were in our rented condo without notifying us or without our knowledge on several occasions. They also tried to charge us for damages not made by us. I booked a condo at the Caribe Resort in Gulf Shores Alabama thru White Shores Realty on Sept 14th 2018. Check in time was 4:00pm. We weren't allowed to enter the condo till close to 4:30pm. Not a big deal. On Friday night day of check in we see water leaking under kitchen sink. Saturday I report it to White Shores realty. The agent states he will have someone out sunday to fix it. No one ever showed up. No follow up phone call. No way to use kitchen sink for 4 days. Monday morning check out time is 10am. Being that we were 30 minutes late getting in our room I would assume we could stay 30 minutes late checking out. Not! At 9:45 am we receive a knock at the door. It's the house keeper. Ready to clean the unit. Upon returning the keys to white shores realty I complained about our stay and the receptionist stated that is not the norm here. Be expecting a call from the manager. It's 4 days later and still no call. Will never use again. read more

I booked for Spring Break with them. Do to certain circumstances, I needed to cancel. All of this within a 24 hour time span. When they did get back to me, there was not message or personalization (actually, this was the case upon initial booking as well), just that they refunded $300 of the $400 deposit. The other $100 went toward a booking/processing fee. While a booking/processing fee was mentioned in the rental agreement, there was no indication of price. All it said was you will get a refund if you cancel more than 30 days prior to arrival. On my initial booking correspondence, they did not list what was considered the "booking" fee. It only listed my deposit. They told me to book directly through WSR to avoid VRBO fees, but then ended up charging me $100 that wasn't disclosed anywhere. Very rude. Poor management. They can keep my $100. More than happy to lose it if it means I am not doing business with shady people like this. Do not book directly through them. Stick with VRBO if you are using one of their properties. read more

Had multiple issues with the unit. It wasn't maintained at all. Closet door in the master bedroom fell off as soon as we arrived and almost fell on top of me. I called the management company and they said they would send someone to fix it. Obviously this had been an issue becasue the gentleman told me it should have been fixed already. On the first night there my husband went to lock the sliding door in the kids room and it wouldn't lock. It was about 10:30pm. He worked on it for about 45 minutes with a corkscrew (since there were no tools) and was able to get it to lock. At this point I called White Shores and left a message as well as email them. . . No response. The place wasn't cleaned well at all. When I went to look for the remote control in the couch the amount of food and garbage in there was repulsive. We went and took a ride over to the management agency when I didn't get a response. There was a lady at the desk who was very empathetic and lovely. I asked her to please have a supervisor call me. She said she would give them the message. No response. When we checked out at the end of the week we went and returned the keys. Again I spoke to a different young lady at the desk who was very lovely as well. I asked her to please have a manager/supervisor call me. She told me she would let Cliff, the supervisor on and he would call me. We checked out on Saturday August 4, 2018 and I still haven't received a call or email from anyone. Extremely disappointed and I wished I checked the Yelp reviews prior to booking. I thought it would be better to go with a management agency as opposed to a homeowner​ on Homeaway since they would be on top of their properties and looking over their condition. Apparently this was not the case. Very saddened and disappointed by this experience. Grand Beach Unit 106 IT WAS A DUMP AND THE MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. We checked in and then the office closed so we could not report the TVS were not working or that our condo was filthy. There were exposed wires along with mold on the ceiling and along the shower. There was sand on the rugs and actual dirt in the carpet. The lamp shade looked like someone urinated on it. A broken screen too. We were not able to actually speak to anyone in person until 10 a.m. the next morning. They came to take care of the TVS first, but the cleaning was still going on when Day 2 of our vacation started. We were only offered one day refund, and they did not even fully give us that. When we requested at least 2 days minimum and really wanted more, they threatened to call the police on us. When we complained further in writing, they e-mailed us back and told us that our room really did not need cleaned to begin with (I have photos) and that if we kept harassing them they would call the police. This place is so unprofessional. The pictures on the booking site are false advertising. We booked this vacation on January 9, 2018. We checked in on June 11, 2018. I guess 6 months notice is not enough for them to get it ready. They REFUSED to take responsibility for poor management and tried to blame it on us for being unreasonable. WHAT A DUMP. Please note there have been other reviews talking about the mold. This is a health hazard and also shows more poor management because they have done nothing about it. read more

I recently made a trip down to Gulf Shores at the end of January and rented through White Shores! Let me start by telling you how amazing the staff was from start to finish. Darale was the first person I spoke to when I booked the unit, he made sure that we were in a unit near all of the places we wanted to eat at, hang out, and even told us all about the area. Upon arrival we were greeted by Chandler, who after a long day made us laugh and gave wonderful directions. Our condo was absolutely beautiful, it was gulf side. We had all of the amenities that we could ever need or want. The unit was incredibly clean and the attention to detail was beyond any other condo I have stayed at with any other company. This was not our first time coming down, and it will not be our last. White Shores is definitely the way to go if you want to enjoy your vacation without a headache!! read more

company does not tell homeowners what they are charging customers/day. they do not send receipts or call you when they spend in our case over $600/month. when questions are asked the realestate agent/owner becomes very belirgent and condescending. a very scary situation if you need to know where your money is going and why. he makes many promises that he can not fufill. read more

Absolutely Horrible. Would never use them again. Rented condo through them at phoenix west 2. Multiple multiple holes in wall where pictures used to be, hole in bathroom ceiling where light should be. Televisions didn't work. whole wall of windows with vast majority of curtains missing. Broken door laying on balcony, broken bed in master closet. Broken toilet tissue holder with missing pieces. Whole family kept complaining to me. When televisions broke second time , I had enough and called to tell me him what a terrible place this was. He began yelling and said that I should leave.
