The place was real classy but not too much that you would feel out of place. Service was decent, the wait for food took longer than I would've liked but the food was delicious. When my food came out there was a fly in it as well which was mildly off-putting considering the wait time, but I appreciate how it was immediately replaced.

Beautiful restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Very accommodating for both adults and kids alike. We had the steak , crab cake, salad, short ribs, burrata, and biscuits and everything was wonderful. No complaints. Solid dining experience.

This place was picked for a group dinner and it was absolutely a great choice. Located onside a hotel, this restaurant has a bright decor when you walk in. We parked in the nearby parking spots which has free parking after 6pm. It is also across from the bridge so some nice views if you sit toward the back. Our server was great and promptly remembered our orders with modifications and didn't write a thing down. He presented suggestions and got refills on the table. First thing first - get the biscuits and put on the apple jelly. Crab dip was also top tier. Would stay away from the cornbread as it was very dry. You must order the pork chop. I have not had such a delicious pork chop from a restaurant in a while and I am almost wanting to drive back to get the pork chop again. It's that good. Nice place and great food. Worth a stop.

LOVED IT! Was in town for a wedding & had a group of 8 -- we had a blast! The waiter (Sky) was fun & had great suggestions. He made a GREAT cappuccino & we found out that he trained with an ITALIAN mentor! It shows! :) The restaurant is on the ground level of the Edwin Hotel & it is GORGEOUS! White walls, big windows, and classy finishes make this a wonderful space to share a meal with friends (& make new ones!) It was a rainy evening & they had the CUTEST clear plastic "igloos" over the outdoor tables! If there were only 2 or 4 of us, I'd have requested to sit out there! Next time! We sampled MANY items from the menu with NO complaints -- but a few stand-outs were the Apple & Goat Cheese Salad (kale, frisee, arugula, pomegranate, candied pecans, spiced peach vinaigrette dressing -- ALL my faves!); Fried Green Tomatoes (I'm from the South & these are taken to the NEXT LEVEL with the addition of house-smoked pork belly & pepper jam!); Heirloom Cornbread (honey-pecan butter!); the Butter Basted Trout (suggested by Sky, was amazing!); we closed off with Bananas Foster & Chocolate Bread Pudding. I don't know WHERE we put it, but it went down DELICIOUSLY! Only one disappointment. While still tasty, the Three Sisters Pot Pie was a bit bland, compared to the other FLAVORFUL dishes we had. I do admit that I'm a pot pie connoisseur so I'm VERY VERY picky. :) My husband commented, "Why doesn't EVERYONE come here?! There SHOULD be a wait!!" He's right -- maybe we just got in before the crowds find out about it. Needless to say, we'll DEFINITELY go back next time we're in town!

BISCUIT & GRAVY BENNIE, sausage Patty was perfectly placed under the sunny side up eggs

The food was great. I had BISCUIT & GRAVY BENNIE, and my wife had pancakes. We did find it slightly off that she had to ask for butter with her pancakes. 30 minute wait for a table so we sat at the bar, bartender Chris was pleasant enough. This weekend was the Chattanooga Regatta so they were quite busy, seemed some what understaffed for such a large event to be taking place basically right outside their doors. We sat at bar for over an hour to order, eat, and pay, no voluntary hanging out.

This place is so beautiful inside and outside! We have been here for brunch and dinner and both times were amazing! No complaints at all, we will definitely be back! The service here is a 10/10, very friendly and accommodating!

Lots of people waiting 2 hours for food.

We arrived at 5:30 to a restaurant with one table that was seated. 2 hours later, we received our cold food, server Danny was lame, bolognese was ground beef. Don't waste an opportunity to have a great meal in Chattanooga. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was good the first 2 hours. As it filled up, all of the hard surfaces created a loud environment. Brandon, our server's assistant was very good. He was friendly, polite and checking in frequently.

Staid at the Edwin hotel for this small vacation and conveniently this restaurant that I read about was right there! So breakfast twice and dinner once ! And we've enjoyed it all!! Tuesday for dinner they had a happy hour with a glass of champagne with entree so I had that along with my strong gin cocktail and my pasta dish! For breakfast both days I had the avocado toast and my husband chose the morning scrambler and of course delish strong espressos made by the provisions coffee shop next to them! Service was really good! Had same server for breakfast that remembered our order and chatted with us about their beautiful town and recommended stuff to do and places to go out as well!!

Had a great experience here!! Shared the cornbread with my boyfriend which wasn't our favorite since it had a hot jam but we should have just ordered something else. My scallops dish was INSANELY good though--still thinking about it and wish I could eat it every night. My boyfriend loved his trout dish and he got a side of seasonal veggies which he said paired perfectly with his trout. Our server, Sky, was really sweet and the inside of the restaurant had great ambiance. Will definitely return!

We brought out of town friends for dinner after a day of sightseeing. We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation, so went up to the rooftop for drinks! Our seating area was super comfy and the waitstaff was great! We asked if they could get our dinner reservation bumped back about 15 mins. And they did. We carried drinks down the elevator to dinner and were able to adjust seating to a spot that suited us perfectly! All the staff did a great job. The food was delicious. We can highly recommend the crab cheese dip and the skillet cornbread apps. Our entrees were perfect, scallops, trout and filet. I love fries and theirs were great!

Beautiful place inside the lovely Edwin hotel. The food was great, although the portion of the tartine was pretty small. Reservations were a little confusing. I tried to make a Reservation for brunch and the website said that no Reservations are required for breakfast or brunch. But when we arrived, the hostess asked us if we had Reservations. We sat at the bar so the service wasn't great. The decor was really beautiful, modern and clean. I'll definitely go back and try again.

Whitebird is situated in the absolutely beautiful Edwin Hotel. I would love to go back and just sit with a hot cocoa in their lobby! My daughter and I stopped by for brunch during the Head of the Hooch regatta. We started with the crab dip. It was huge and absolutely amazing. The accompanying baguette had the right amount of crisp to stand up to the dip. The dip itself had so much crab and a nice spice to cut the richness. We also split the chocolate and banana waffle. After the dip, it was like dessert! We especially liked the spicy chocolate sauce. The perfect amount of food for two. I get the sense that not every dish on the menu is as great as these were. For example, our friends at a nearby table were very disappointed with their brisket. So choose carefully? The service left much to be desired. My daughter's water glass was empty for nearly 15 minutes. It's not a huge restaurant and it wasn't full, so I'm not sure why this was. We also waited quite some time for the check. If you have time to be leisurely, order the crab dip, sit back and relax. It will be worth your while.

Can't recommend this cocktail bar enough!…read more We visited the bar late night while staying at the hotel and it did not disappoint. Despite clearly being short staffed and having a busy night - we were greeted almost immediately and encouraged to help ourselves to a seat. We sat at a table away from the bar (only one available) and a server came by to take our drink order. Before he could return, another employee - who was running food to another table - immediately came over to us after to see if we wanted to order food (which we did!). She took our order, then the drinks arrived and before we knew it the food was out and was incredible! The menu is quite limited - and even more so when you one of you doesn't eat meat - and yet we were able to make a meal out of 2 caesar salads, the hummus plate and the deviled eggs. And don't even get me started on the cocktails! We started with a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini that were perfectly crafted. And then for our dessert round switched to their signature Old Fashioned. Each one was better than the next! Thanks for an incredible time, Whiskey Thief. We will definitely we back!

At first, servers were scarce, but as I got up to go to the bar, the bartender must've seen me and was on his way. He took our initial drink order. At $14 per glass of wine, we just went for the bottle at $54 and a charcuterie board at $27. We are on vacation, so why not. The view is excellent. The weather cooperated. People watching from on high was fun, and the nature scenery was nice. Service was a little slow, but not an imposition, however, if it gets much busier, that could be a thing. We later learned they previously had a $10 cover, but we did not get asked for this and it must be a thing of the past, or I understand it is waived for guests of the Edwin Hotel (the bar's affiliated with the Edwin) but we had dinner reservations at Whitebird, the affiliated restaurant. The charcuterie was good with cheeses, cured meats, jams, crackers, etc. all in all, the star is the Al fresco seating and the River, and of course the company of my beautiful wife! So, go for outdoor seating and bring your own beau!

Considering we were 18 ppl he did a great job. We ordered oysters to share. I ordered the special bento box and my friends ordered the grouper, salad, hamburger egg rolls, serloin, filet and appetizer fish taco and many more. Food all came together and was very good. It was not cheap but we enjoyed the food and had a great time

It's not quite a 3 star but didn't quite meet a 4 star either. Let's start with what's great here…read more A great oyster program with delicious oysters from a range of East Coast locations. Wonderful cocktail list with well balanced, well made cocktails. I loved my old fashioned and others enjoyed their drinks too. Very nice, attentive service from the servers although they brought out the oysters without telling us what was what and service was at times bumpy. The interior is nice, with it feeling casual but somewhere you could bring a date. And we enjoyed the lobster cakes which were well done, nice sauce, without overwhelming the sweetness of the lobster itself. So that was positive. Where it failed: the tuna bites on regular and not crispy rice was hard to eat. It was good but a little unruly. The halibut piccatta was VERY dry, almost bordering on inedible. Their special, which was a bento box was not great. The flavors didn't go together and their sushi eggroll had cream cheese which is very gross. Their steak frites was fine if not that memorable. All in all, I would come back for their drinks and their oysters but not sure I would come back for a full meal here.
