From WW2 era stuff right up to the present day. The facility is huge and comfortable. Fortunately for me the day I was there was temparate so I could spend plenty of time outside behind the museum with the birds stored there as well. Just the right mix of real planes and displays of artifacts and informative plaques. This would be an enjoyable visit for anyone even mildly interested in history, but if history is your passion? They also have interactive elements like the flight simulator and VR experience (extra cost). A lot of the staff is made up of retired pilots and mechanics who are incredibly friendly and eager to share their knowledge. My brother and boyfriend loved getting to sit in the actual planes. There's even a small cafe inside with a great view of the runway. A perfect way to spend the day and pay tribute to our veterans as well. Even though it is a bit far from Toronto, it's definitely worth the visit. You can also stay as long as you want, go in and out for food breaks if you need.

It's located right in the heart of downtown, making it super accessible, and the space itself is beautiful very clean, quiet, and well-organized. I specifically enjoyed "The Great Lakes" exhibit; it was a really thoughtful exploration of the landscape using different media like video and sculpture. The gallery also has a fantastic permanent collection of Canadian art (including some Group of Seven pieces) and the Kim Adams "Bruegel-Bosch Bus" is a must-see you can spend ages just looking at all the tiny details in that installation. The staff was helpful and the AGH Shop on the way out has some really unique jewelry and home goods that you don't see everywhere else. Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, it's a great way to spend a few hours. If you're coming on a weekend, check the parking meters nearby as some are free on Saturdays, or use the underground city parking right on King Street West. Thursday's admission is free and the gallery is open late :).

The top floor is free to visit year round and they have a lower level with a paid exhibit. Throughout the year the lower exhibit changes and I recommend checking it out. The current exhibit is called Wonder, and it focuses on looking at the world from a different angle to see how you can make a difference. It was a really unique exhibit with some interesting artwork including 3D sculptures, an interactive element, and collages made by local artists. Would I Recommend this Museum? Definitely!

We drove 1.5 hours to get to this place, because my friend told us there was a steam train rides…read morehere, and we could also visit the Waterhouse museum. It was just one day free ride event. This was a big place that train tracks were covered a huge place. There were 4 electric trains running. Each time getting on the train would run 2 rounds, about 5 mins. Due to the lineup was not long, every family was able to ride as many as you like. The staff was so nice to explain the history and help us taking pictures. Train company was separated from the museum, they accept donations to run the train running. After the train riding, we went to the Waterhouse Museum, which it was a small house with machines to demonstrate how the lake water to become the drinking water in the old days, like 1859. The Waterhouse and some machine was rebuilt in 1882. There were 3 levels of the house to visit. Kid activities center was a building next to the museum. Kids can draw or color on the paper, there are blocks that kids could stack together, there are some train tracks and toy trains to be played with. We enjoyed the whole event today. It's a cool museum.

It has a nice trail that joins the waterfront trail and you can enjoy both the view and the walk. When we got here, there was a large filming crew filming beside the castle which was interesting to watch.

Bizarre experience. This "museum" (not sure how they can use that word) is a rundown Victorian…read morehouse with 3 shabby tiny rooms. The first was closed for a birthday party. The other two (living room size rooms) were half empty and had a box full of old dress up clothes, a box of shabby stuffed animals in front of a tiny puppet stage, a built in play kitchen too high for young kids to play with, a pirate ship play structure (the suze of a king size bed) with a "broken- gentle" sign on it, and a few boxes of things to Build a toy house out of sponge stones and wood planks. It is not a museum and I would struggle to even call it a kids play area- the worst $9 I've spent. A kids cafe or playground has more to do. We left in 10 min. Not a museum and angry we wasted time traveling here- false advertising. It's a shabby house with a few old toys.
