I came here recently during an exhibit they had dedicated to the artist and it was really cool. They have a a lot of the remaining pieces up for display in the store as well as a lot of unique gifts for someone that is into this artsy lady. Things aren't super overpriced, you're getting some one-of-a-kind items that you wont be able to find anywhere else. The owner is really friendly and will gladly give you the backstory on any item that you might have questions on. Definitely worth making a stop if you're antiquing or just strolling through this historic district.

Open free to the community, it is welcoming, filled with creative energy and what an art gallery should be, experimental. The current exhibition focuses on the work of Isidro Perez Garcia, whose work centers on a giant table reminiscent of woven chairs and tables found in Mexico. This table set playfully holds a dialogue with The Broad Museum's, "Under the Table@ by Robert Therrien. It's a must see. The walls of the gallery show the process in illustration of building the set. The exhibit as a whole harkens to our indigenous roots, our current mix of people and points to the future of art in Southern California influenced by the past, present and future. A mexclaje of people, ideas and culture. As such, I'd recommend this gallery as it is vibrant, fun, and not to be missed. It seeks to make art open to everyone and not a select few. I was surprised how amazing this place is and how much fun I had exploring the history of Whittier. Although I knew that President Nixon was from Whittier, I still did not expect to see an entire display about his history in Whittier. It was also interesting and very well curated. I can't wait to come back one day for a Haunted Whittier Tour! Instead of donating money to the museum we loaded up on a couple souvenirs instead. This museum is definitely worth a few visits since the displays are constantly changing and evolving.

For me it's the experience - the time spent looking, studying, and simply browsing a collection is worth gold to me. Chemers Gallery in Tustin is that place that offers that whole experience. Every time I go in there, which I admit isn't near often enough but probably more than some, I delight in "finds". I have a fairly decent collection of artwork and it's not confined to paintings. I've ceramics, sculptures, glasswork, pottery, photographs, and a few weird pieces of found object works as well. Quite a few of those pieces have come from this jewel of a gallery so close to home. The owner Karen, and her friendly staff have always allowed me the luxury to simply roam. I have to walk through numerous times to take everything in. I get distracted by one or two pieces and then turn around and find something else completely unexpected. And, it becomes mine. I love this place!! I am a retired healthcare designer and Chemers was the art consultant on a few of our firms healthcare projects. What I enjoyed was the chosen works were always different from the predictable works too often seen in healthcare spaces and, they always complimented the concepts of our interiors. I also love the shows and exhibitions they often host here. Often soliciting works from local artists, craftspeople, and even foodies, these "pop-up" shows are always good for gifts, wearables, and sometimes taste-ables! And if I'm lucky, I often walk away with a new piece! I always look forward to stopping in on these shows and could spend an hour or more perusing. Do yourself a favor and visit this gallery - oh, and of course, don't forget, they also do excellent framing!!

I got to go because my friend said she had…read moreart here and it was quite good... the location is little tricky if your looking for the building number but you just need to look for city hall of La Habra and there are signs all around to the art gallery. There are no fees but donation boxes... some art are up for sales and I guess you can ask the volunteer in bow to purchase the art.
