I like this small little shop in Uptown Whittier. They have a variety of unique gifts and a lot of Frida Kahlo inspired trinkets. I came here recently during an exhibit they had dedicated to the artist and it was really cool. They have a a lot of the remaining pieces up for display in the store as well as a lot of unique gifts for someone that is into this artsy lady. Things aren't super overpriced, you're getting some one-of-a-kind items that you wont be able to find anywhere else. The owner is really friendly and will gladly give you the backstory on any item that you might have questions on. Definitely worth making a stop if you're antiquing or just strolling through this historic district. read more

This place has wonderful Hispanics pieces however they are a bit pricy. But there are some unique items well wait.

A seriously lovely art shop with truly distinctive things. You should be warned, however, that it becomes an addiction. The shop is small which is a good thing because it's a hide gem of downtown Whittier. The owner has a great eye and the items are fascinating as well as beautiful. Wonderfully displayed. While the Day of the Dead art isn't my thing, there is lots of it, but fantastic religious art, cerebral tongue in cheek Mexican folk art, and incredible functional and decorative ceramics. Also lovely jewelry. The owner finds wonderful artist locally in town. I've been here for artist showcase of Mexican folk art. Everything is very fine. That gives you an idea of the prices, but, I LOVE this store! it's beautiful, and, I WILL keep going there, because at times, I find what, to me, is a deal. Lunasol is a wonderful artsy gallery with many treasures to look at and buy. From beautiful paintings to gorgeous handmade jewelery to whimsical mexican hats, you have quite a diverse gallery. The owners are fantastic and luckily I was included in today's ribbon cutting and purchased my first original painting of Frieda by a local artist. I'm sure there are more cutting edge galleries out there but the special treatment and homey feel made me feel like I'd known the owner forever. I recommend you stop in and see for yourself. I would have loved to continue to buy from this shop. I bought earrings 2 years ago..... 2 years ago and after several messages to the owner i still do not have those earrings. The excuse was that the persons making them didn't deliver the item. I get that but I've asked the shop owner for my money back several times and have gotten no response!!!! It's frustrating because i really wanted those earrings but after it's just upsetting that i can't get my money back. The goods were never delivered and the refund was never issued even after she said i would have it. This was about 8 months ago. I cannot believe that a shop would do this to a customer. I am on here in hopes that the owner reads this review and actually gives me my money back. I'm trying to be civil and take care of this the right way. However she has read my messages and just ignored them (i have the threads). The next step is court and i really don't want to do that. So please be careful when you buy from this shop. Yes the items are beautiful but if you can't get them what's the point? Super disappointed in how this transaction has been handled!!! Again it's been two years!!!!!!! read more
