If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is completely unethical and preys on people when they're in pain. The first time I came here for a wisdom tooth extraction, they offered a $400 bone graft, which I declined because I couldn't afford it. A year later, I went back to have the rest of my wisdom teeth removed and was suddenly told it was mandatory to pay $400 for the graft or they wouldn't do the extraction--even though my cheeks were swollen and I desperately needed treatment. I had no choice but to pay. Now, my dad went in with a broken tooth, and they pulled the same scam. They refused to remove his tooth unless he paid for the graft, but then admitted if it had been a wisdom tooth, the graft wouldn't be "necessary." So which is it? Necessary or not? It's clear they are making up rules just to squeeze money out of people. No dentist should hold patients' health hostage over unnecessary charges. This place is a scam and I do not recommend anyone come here unless you want to be forced into paying hundreds of dollars for things you don't even need. read more

THEY COMMIT FRAUD AND CHARGE FOR SERVICES NOT PROVIDED. I went in and ended up having a deep cleaning done ONLY and was going to be scheduled for wisdom teeth extraction and laser. Despite giving my insurance they charged me $1800 dollars and did not give me a receipt, email, or treatment plan. I have never been pre-charged so much for an extraction so I wanted to see what exactly the charges were for since my insurance covers deep cleanings. When I called my insurance they stated to contact the dentist and have them send a treatment plan for the future procedure. After several calls back and forth between my insurance and them they DID NOT send the plan over so I cancelled the appointment and they hit me with charging me ANOTHER $300 for the cancellation but would refund me the difference and HAVE NOT REFUNDED a cent. I'm getting charged for wisdom teeth extraction and laser when all my wisdom teeth are still here and laser was not done. I went in person 3 times for a formal letter of cancellation and they denied giving me confirmation of my cancellation. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Insurance fraud is a very serious offense when committed by a practitioner and I will be reporting it to the dental board and you will be hearing from my lawyer. read more

Very poor first experience and will probably be switching dentists again. It is unacceptable that it took 3 hours from my arrival at 10:45 - 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment at 11:00am - to the actual completion of a basic dental cleaning and cavity filling at 2:00pm. I'm not sure what the hold up was, but it was incredibly disrespectful of mine and every other patients time. Also please get someone else to do X-rays. The attendant who worked on me jammed the little plastic thing in my mouth over two dozen times and retook several photos to get it "just" right. Absolutely terrible experience. I went in today for my second visit all time. I waited 2.5 hours before seeing being seen by anyone despite having an appointment. The waiting room was hot, dark, and packed (during the heat wave). Finally after some x-rays, tons more waiting to see the dentist, I'm told I'm okay to just get a regular cleaning. Dentist leaves again. Receptionist from the front desk comes over to tell me they cannot give me a cleaning because Aetna work hours are over. LIKE Y'ALL DIDNT MAKE ME WAIT SO LONG THE INSURANCE COMPANY STOPPED TAKING CALLS. I showed up early to my 4pm appointment, of course if you're calling near 7pm you're gonna run into issues. You held my insurance and ID for nearly 3 hours and did nothing? Now I'm being told I have to come in again to be seen for cleaning. I have to do the same old sh** all over again? My insurance is up-to-date, on file, and was shared at my arrival. I would not recommend if you're trying to avoid a similar experience. They do not respect your time. read more

The Whittier dental needs to work more efficiently, come up with a better system in place in order to get patients in and out at a timely manner. So I took my mom to get her first pair of dentures. Bless her heart. It was a rollercoaster ride only because my mom is so stubborn but the staff and Dr Nathan were so patient and supportive. I was a little cautious at first because Dr Nathan is so young! However, overtime within this process he gained my full trust. I really appreciate him and his team. I have been here for a total of 3x. Each time I visited this dental group the dental assistants and people at the front desk were unprofessional. Some of dental assistants are extremely nosey when it comes to patients business. Will often but in a conversation in a conversation between you and the doctor. They also don't wear their masks all the time, and are very rude and present an attitude when you ask them anything. The doctor is nice and friendly, which is the only reason I continue to come. If I could give this place no stars I would. Don't come here they over book appointments. Honestly is it that hard to be somewhat on schedule. I get there will be delays but seriously you're wasting your patient's time. Previously I've had to wait over 2 and a half hours before I just got up and left because of the lack of communication and delays for what seemed like no reason. With todays visit I was hoping it would be different but no today I had to wait over 1 hour for just X-rays and then being sent back out to the waiting room to wait for another hour is absolutely ridiculous. I don't typically write reviews but after being to this office twice I can honestly say this is one of the worse service I have ever received. You have to wait over an hour to be seen for a simple cleaning appointment. When I inquire about being seen their front staff response was the same both times we are short staffed and if I wanted to reschedule. I already made this appointment weeks before, I blocked out the time and you want to send me away, how does that make sense. If you are short staffed then maybe don't schedule so many people or call to cancel some appointments so that I can plan for this. I would have appreciated a cancellation ahead of time versus coming in, waiting and then asking me to reschedule. It seems the staff here does not care about their customers. I had an appointment and waited 2 hours to get seen, I was informed over the phone that my problem would be taken care of the day of my appointment, that was a lie!! I got there at 4 because my appointment was at 4 and they took me in at 5:30!! They still had me waiting inside.! The assistant who helped with the x-rays seemed like she didn't want to work. She seemed bother. A guys working inside said "it's 5:30 and we still have 8 people waiting, just call one person and if they don't show up book them for another day.
