Used to be great when it first opened. They have tried to keep the place refreshed. They have added…read moremore abs more "stuff" to front of house. This includes decorative screens and this serves to block visual access by staff to the table area. Why did they add screens? Well the place is now like a store room with dry goods and cartons of drinks stacked up. Should be "out back" in the kitchen and store. It feels like dining in a delivery dock. The used to have lovely modern marching crockery. It's now a mush mash of items bought cheaply. Nothing matches snd there is a cheap plastic feel typical of very low end Asian cbd take aways. Staff are always lovely. Obviously I'm this climate there has to be a bare minimum. That would be fine if staff could visibly observe tables to notice if a customer is doing that hand gesture we're all familiar with. But staff are blocked by the screens. The old tables used to have a nifty call button under one edge but that disappeared when new tables appeared. And the tables and chairs do not match the decor. Whilst the place is overall okay, it's now fairly crummy. The menu used to say we are dumpling specialists with a couple of extras. The menu has been tinkered with and a few extras have been added. It now feels a bit like a 1980s suburban Chinese restaurant instead of a funky dumplings joint.

Waited to speak to the waiter for more than 10mins, and to get the last dish for another 30mins. When we asked them that we were still waiting for the last fish after we had eaten everything else, no one would tell us, whether they forgot to cook it or on its way. This restraint needs to train their staff a little bit better, because we like their taste.

Don't let Wonton Master be another restaurant you slip by because it looks bland and similar to…read moreother Chinese restaurants. Think of it as clean frontage to an inconspicuous gem. I'd guess that this place is almost brand new. The staff enthusiastically greeted us as we entered, it was a warm family like invitation to enter and that's rare. The available is just right and laid out in an easy to view single page menu. We chose the spicy wonton soup and braised beef noodles. Boy were they good. The broth in the beef noodles was phenomenal. Rich win flavour and just the right texture. The beef was high quality, flavourful and tender. The noodles were perfect. A fresh feeling in your mouth when you fill it with high quality noodles is a rarity and one to splendour and return to over and over. There was no lack of spicy in the wonton soup broth. This was also perfect. Not overwhelming but by no means for weaklings. Get in here! Enjoy it like I did! I'd say Wonton Master deserves to have a full restaurant all day long. Five stars all round.

Unfortunately, it is only generally open at night, but I managed to get in here to check it out, and I have to admit that I do think that this is a pretty awesome place. A simple online search revealed their menu (not just dumplings!) and brought about my ongoing internal struggle - making a decision on what to order! I ended up choosing the Prawn with Ginger and Onion, happily paying the $1 extra to have these pan fried. We called in our order for pick up and were advised it would be ready within 20 minutes, which it was close enough to, however I'm not too fussed on having to wait a few extra minutes - personally I'd rather leave the restaurant with my meal just being freshly cooked than it sitting on their counter awaiting collection. You get 15 dumplings per serve which is MORE than enough for one person, along with dipping sauce for your dumplings. I of course made the mistake of thinking I could finish one serving solo. Which I did, but I regretted immediately after - next time I think sharing two serves between three people would be ideal. Not two serves between two people! I loved the fresh and tasty dumplings that I received (and consumed too many of in a single sitting!) and cannot wait to return and try other items on their menu. However, how I'll stray from the dumpling section of the menu is an issue in an of itself! My only negatives would be the inability to mix and match flavours in the one serving (with 15 per serve, it would nice to be able to sample three different types) and also a lack of choice in dipping sauces (thankfully I always have sriracha at home). This is another one of those food court stalls, and as is typical, you can't expect too much from…read morethem. Mind you, they do have a reasonable selection, and what I generally like about them is that you pretty much get your meal straight away without having to wait for anything to be cooked. Actually, come to think of it, these stalls were probably the first fast food restaurants, sort of. Anyway, the food was nice, and cheap as well, but it wasn't anything particularly fancy.
