Great food, large portions and freshly made! I had a BBQ plate and it was great. Service and price were good as well.

I have been raised on Whitt's BBQ - 55 years. I treated myself to a turkey sandwich with extra mayo this afternoon and it had a dry bun, dry turkey piece ( not pulled- just a big g pieces hanging off of each side of the bin, very little slaw and mayo. The man at the window was friendly, the place seems clean but that sandwich was very sad. I wrapped it up when half eaten and will try to make it better when I get home with more mayo and sauce. Please Rogersville Whitt's, do better! read more

Simple yet delicious bbq. I LOVE their vinegar Cole Slaw. It is juicy, flavorful, and I love how chopped/diced the cabbage is. I eat it on my BBQ sandwich and as a side dish, delicious! Their sandwich combo is an amazing deal-sandwich, side, soft drink, and a cookie for $6ish! I tried out their baked potato, but they have tough competition with Lawler's super stuffies down the street...their potato isn't anywhere near as flavorful, fresh, or as big as Lawler's. I love Whitts BBQ. I went to the drive through & usually I get a sandwich or a family pack. This time I got the stuffed potato with pork. It was the best stuffed potato I've ever had. Especially with the sauce poured over it. I've had stuffed potatoes from different places, but this was the best one yet. The people are very nice & friendly. read more

If I could give less star rating I would. I have a 3 strike rule for all restaurants, everyone has an off day right. Well this place is off all the time. I went to different locations at different cities. Each time I got so sick I ended up in the hospital. These visits were months apart and in different counties. Very good pulled pork sandwich! The potato salad was a mustered base instead of mayo based. I hate mayo so it was perfect for me! And the baked beans were very good! Great lunch. Only thing missing was a sauce for the sandwich. The pork was very good and not dry, so not having sauce wasn't a big deal. My husband had mayo and slaw on his sandwich (I asked for those to be taken off mine) and he loved it!!! Great stop!!! read more

Great christian ownership. Extremely nice staff at all locations. Food is always good and the sweet tea is top notch. I usually buy it by the gallon. Be aware the hot sauce will mess you up. I love spicy stuff but this hot sauce is next level hot and thick. I normally mix the hot and mild together then it's just right. read more

I am a BBQ fanatic. When I get to 'Bama country, it is the first thing I want! While I love living in Texas, the BBQ here is nothing like the FABULOUS Alabama kind. In TX, beef is preferred. But in AL, they do pulled pork and THAT is what this girl CRAVES! Yum-O-Rama! Whitt's does pulled pork right. Smokey, non-greasy goodness. Slap some vinegar sauce, purple onions and finely chopped white vinegar slaw onto the BBQ with a fresh hamburger bun, and you've found HEAVEN. The other BEST at Whitt's is the Brunswick Stew. OH.....MY.....GOD! It is soooooo delish! Why do none of the BBQ places in Dallas carry this stuff? At Whitt's, you can buy it by the gallon. If I lived near a Whitt's, I'd be cooking much less in the winter time. Brunswick Stew is so wonderful in the cool weather months and it is an elixir to stave away illness. OK Whitt's...you need to expand to Dallas. The suburb of Carrollton to be specific. Pretend we're dating onlie and take a chance by moving here to see if it will work out! I l heart YOU! read more

When you visit Rogersville, you don't think that you are going to find some pretty good food here. However, I've found three places that are actually a notch above some of the restaurants in bigger nearby cities like Huntsville and Athens - Whitt's, Savannah and Stanfield's Steakhouse Service is good at all three and prices are really reasonable. Of the three, I like Savannah the best but it is only open for lunch up to around 4pm. Added bonus - wifi is available Catfish and the loaded sweet potatoes are good at Stanfield's Had the plate lunch at Whitt's and is quite happy with my choice. Nephew had the ribs and thought it was pretty good too. Just note the hours because it seems closed quite often but you can't beat the price. Also note it is a drive-through and there are no indoor seating - just a few tables outside. read more

I had the 'jumbo' pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty damn good. The pork didn't have any sauce to it, but definitely had a kick to it.

Service was terrible. Pretty sure they bought everything at sams club then just served it.

Stopped on a whim, and totally loved it! Never eaten at a Whitts before but it was good. We got the pulled pork lunchbox and it wasn't greasy or had any gristle. No sauce either so it wasn't messy. Had plenty of flavor with the non sloppy coke slaw on it with pickles and mayo. We did ask for hot sauce and make no mistake... it's hot. Definitely worth a go! read more

Whitt's has the best ribs I've ever had... I'm not a fan of ribs but for some reason felt like I wanted ribs... I got a full rack (to share).... Absolutely the best I've had made me an instant fan... Fall off the bone tender with a good smokey crust on the outside.... Very meaty... Almost didn't share them... I'll give the potato salad a A+ also not a fan of the cole slaw but just not my style of slaw ( I like creamier slaw not the vinegar based).... 5 stars goes towards what there signs says there selling and that's BBQ read more

I live near Rogersville and have gone to Whitt;s many times in the past. We really like their BBQ pork and ribs. Recently, when I drove thru their drive-thru line, I noticed Brunswick stew on the menu. I purchased 2 pints and it was so good that I went back the next day for 2 quarts and eventually bought a gallon. Each time it was excellent. I suspect that this is a seasonal item, but would like to see it as a regular option. It was better than any stew that I have had at other BBQ restaurants in this area.
