I had previously spoken to management about concerns with constant reports over minor things involving my children. After that conversation, the environment toward me changed. I wasn't being greeted in the morning carol and Melanie both managers would look me in the face and not say anything. I don't know the reason of the change when I only addressed my concerns regarding my kids. The following week after I raised concerns, my 2-year-old daughter was injured while in their care and her arm was dislocated (nursemaid's elbow). I was later told that a toddler teacher, Leilani, had pulled my child by the arm, which led to the injury. What is most concerning is that I was never notified at the time of the incident, and no one informed me when I picked her up. I only realized something was wrong after noticing my child in pain myself. I called the daycare to find out what happened they then told me they had an incident report but did not notify me. The next day, when I went back to address the situation, the director, Carol, stated that they brought my daughter to the front, iced her arm, and moved it around, and claimed she showed no signs of pain so they didn't believe it was serious. However, that does not align with what I witnessed. My child was clearly in pain, when I attempted to move her arm, she cried. She was also walking around holding her arm, which should have been a clear sign something was wrong. I was then told by Melanie that the toddler teacher Leilani called in sick. I know that is not true. The daycare is hiding something and wanted to save the teacher and keep her from saying anything that didn't align with what the director told me happened. They also claim they can't go back on the cameras. My child was left for approximately 2-3 hours with a dislocated arm without me being notified. As a parent, that is extremely alarming and unacceptable. This lack of communication and accountability is deeply concerning. Parents deserve honesty and immediate notification when their child is hurt.

They had journals; the teacher would have a sentence written on the board before class begins daily and the students would copy it, using the finger space method to space out the words. This place does not use worksheets at nor are they practicing writing their names or anything else. They are not practicing holding pencils or writing ANYTHING!!! In three weeks of attendance, she brought home ONE picture she had drawn- ONE!!!. Granted, she missed a couple days during her time enrolled here, I refuse to believe they were actually doing any kind of schoolwork on those days my child happened to not be there. I thought I'd be able to rely on this school, however it is hardly a school; it's a kiddy jail with a pre k teacher that doesn't have patience and screaming is the only way she can try to keep control of the classroom. I may lose patience with my little one at home from time to time, however I will not PAY someone else to do it on a daily basis. I confronted the teacher about this on my daughter's second day, repeating to her what my daughter had told me. She admitted " Yes, I do scream, I do get loud with them, but I always apologize though." Excuse me!!! WHYYY are you screaming at 4 & 5 year olds!?!?! Mind blowing!!! I am in agreement with the other reviews that stated they had the feel that this place strictly about business. I heard about Kids Park from Moms in a group I'm in on Facebook, and Heather offered the group a waived registration fee so I finally took my daughter. My husband and I walked in and immediately I knew she'd be fine. There were TONS of toys for her to play with, a play area with a slide (I knew they'd never get her off of that lol), and more. They put her name on her back before I even finished the paperwork and let her in. While they had the preschoolers dancing, they had the older kids doing other things but they were careful that my daughter was never hurt or bothered by them. They didn't even start the clock until I handed the paperwork back. My daughter was never left alone (far as I saw) and we walked out. We stayed in the shopping area the entire hour, mostly because we had nothing else to do lol. When we came back, they were carrying her out of the snack area and they said she just wasn't eating so they were bringing her back out to play. Once they handed her to us we smelled that she needed her diaper changed. I asked if I could step back and do it and instead they took care of her for me! I was a little confused as to why they didn't change her (You could definitely smell that she needed it) but I figured if it just happened how would they have known? Everyone was so nice and understanding, saying they were used to seeing Moms as emotional as me and it was "harder on the Moms than the kids to say goodbye". I'll be bringing her back soon, and I think it'll be great for her. I am not putting her in the preschool program though simply because what they're going over, shes already too advanced for it.

I never worry when she's there because I know she's in loving hands. They also do so many fun activities with the kids, arts and crafts, games, story time, and even themed projects. My daughter comes home excited to show me what she made. She always has paint or glitter somewhere on her, which honestly just proves how hands-on and creative the center is. It's not a fancy facility by any means, but the counselors are great and he's never bored. They have homework time and play time in the afternoons which is sometimes indoors, sometimes at the park next door. The price cannot be beat either; it's about half what any private facility would charge. If we didn't like Dottie Lynn I'd pay more to have him go somewhere else, but he's very happy here and I trust the staff. -- if you're looking at Dottie Lynn for other reasons such as the gym etc. I cannot really comment, but the facility in general is relatively old and not fancy - so I suspect they aren't a state of the art workout facility.
