I realized this when water started dripping from my bathroom ceiling after the next winters thaw (due to humidity buildup in my attic). The next thing found was with the gutters. They were not installed with a proper angle along the run, such that the water would drain to the downspouts. Result is multiple sections of the gutter hold a large portion of water until they slowly leak form the joints. When looking closer at these, one of the corner joints has come apart significantly, allowing water to drain back to the wood on the house. Called the representative and still no one shows up to fix the issues. Based on my experience, if you want a problem free job done at your house with good support of follow-up, then look for a different company to do your work.

Also, they may not be a good choice if you know or reasonably suspect you have lead-based paint. They don't understand, or don't care about, the connection between exposure to lead dust (e.g. from home renovation) and brain damage to children under age 6 and fetuses (through a pregnant woman's exposure to lead dust). The outermost coat of paint on your walls, or on wood siding that might be underneath vinyl siding, might not be lead-based. But there are often older layers of lead-based paint on these surfaces. If you cut into the house to widen a window opening without wetting down the area first (or at least putting up a plastic containment area inside the house) you will definitely generate dust from that paint, even if it doesn't look like much.

He seemed like he was trying to pressure us to make a decision right then. When he was droning on about financing my wife as well as myself told him we didn't need to discuss this at that time he continued on as if it didn't matter what we said. All we needed was an estimate at that time. He said he really couldn't without talking to us in person. When we cancelled the appointment about the estimate he all of sudden could get an estimate together and email one. This one person is keeping us away from knowing if this is a decent business or not. We are done.

They said they needed to cut the whole pipe to put a scope through to see where the blockage was. He kept trying to cut the pipe before the water was below the skimmer. Anyone with a brain would understand that's not okay. If he actually manages to unclog it, the pool will drain out and he wont be able to patch it. After my mother corrects him, they drain the pool properly, sorry SHE, drains the pool. He cuts the pipe, does a terrible patch job on it. Then jacks around pretending to work until he is trying to put everything back together and my mother notices that he's not using plumbing tape in a spot where it is needed. When she points out that it won't seal properly without it, he says "I don't think I have any"......a plumber with no plumbing tape.... He said he wasn't going to charge her if he didn't use the scope. He didn't use it. He made my mother do most of the work, made HER supply the most BASIC plumbing material ever and charged her $150. They are lucky that she had a concussion at the time or they wouldn't have gotten a dime. But even WITH a concussion my mother is a better plumber than this guy. Oh. And as he was leaving he says "Well, I think $150 is enough for getting my underwear wet." What do your customers get when you destroy the plumbing on a 30,000 gallon pool? I might ask a lawyer. Don't hire this moron. ESPECIALLY if it's pool work. UPDATE: The patch on the pipe burst after a couple days and a couple thousand gallons of pool water drained out and into our basement. I wish I could upload pictures of the damage this guy did. When contacted about it, he did not respond. It's been five days. Good luck with this business, Rugers. You will need a miracle of biblical proportions to find lasting success.
