I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning, but she ended up having nearly $2,000 in surgery to remove all of her teeth instead. It was the right thing to do, but as you can imagine, it was extremely distressful. Afterwards I received the bill, which STILL included the cost of a "cleaning, polishing and fluoride treatment." I politely asked that the charge be removed, since her teeth were actually removed and never cleaned. Initially, they refused, saying I still owed them nearly $150 for the cleaning. I then wrote the office manager an email explaining the situation and expressing my disappointment. To her credit, she finally refunded the charge. However, during a follow up appointment, Dr. Todd Kyle had the audacity to tell me he didn't appreciate my email or my tone and abruptly tried to walk out of the exam. He didn't know the whole situation, clearly, nor had he given me the opportunity to explain my perspective. He was rude, dismissive and disrespectful. Without talking to his own staff about the situation, he decided it was his place to admonish me and tell me how I should have reacted. I refuse to let him treat me like that and would never let him treat a pet of mine again. The previous owners NEVER would have let this happen. I loved them and was an ardent advocate for them for decades. Now I'm looking for a new vet.

He is indoor/outdoor cat so sometimes gets into some clashes when on the prowl. I had a wonderful experience from the first phone call to the follow up text the day after the appointment. Luke was such a good boy and the staff along with the doc were awesome. We got his vaccinations up to date for 3 years (!) and also had him microchipped (takes less than a minute). This vet used to be good. In the last few years I noticed there was always a new young Dr instead…read moreof Dr Bishop there. I didn't think too much of it until they kept recommending unnecessary expensive procedures! I felt like they were out to get money, not care for my dog! Being seen by so many different docs every appointment how could they assess her accurately? Most recently my dog was seen by Dr. Thompson. The exam visit now costs $72! Just to walk in the door! Dr. T gave her allergy meds that had negative side effects & weren't working. After a misdiagnosis of my dog who was actually getting worse, 5 days later they wanted another $72 exam plus $240 for X-rays & $??? for tests! A second opinion from a new vet yielded a collapsed trachea and a bad infection that needed antibiotics not allergy meds. No X-ray was needed, just good vet experience! I was told to stop the prescribed meds from My Vet because they were not necessary! My dog has also has been suffering from a disease that NO Dr. here ever diagnosed before! There is no Dr. on call here over the weekends- they'll tell you to go to MedVet! It will take them until 2pm Monday to even return your call & don't get me started on the incompetent receptionists they have here! I found out that the Bishops sold their practice to MVP! Dr Jill no longer works there & Dr Dan is only in on T&Th. You'll get an inexperienced new Dr. if you don't ask! And shame on the Bishops for not letting their clients know that they sold out!! Not one word - no email, newsletter, nothing! I do not recommend this place at all!! I now drive 25 minutes to a new vet who actually cares about my pet!

I take her home, go to work come back and shes got hives all over and itchy from the vaxxs already paid over $600 for. called them up they said to bring her back in, they examine her in another room, give her two more shots a steroid and Benadryl to counteract the reaction without asking me. say she's fine and tell me there's some Benadryl pills I can get as well. I figured it's a bad reaction to the shots I already paid for I shouldnt be charged extra for this...sure enough lady comes in with another bill for $65 for the two shots they didn't ask me to inject. in no world should someone have to pay for meds to fix a reaction to vax I already paid for! ridiculous. the doctor and aids were very nice and everything but I won't be back because they charged me for a fix to their messup.

I have been with the Vet Clinic since 1982 when I moved back from Missouri. They were located up…read morethe hill on High St. next to the funeral home, but the office then was still compact and comfy. They have cared for 5 of my kitties and 9 doggies, plus several of my daughter's and mother's animals over the years. They have truly been family. I recently moved to Delaware OH and thought I had a good match for my Pomeranian, Harry, only to find the doctor there only had what he wanted to do in mind, and refused to be on a team, refusing care, with Harry's cardiologist every time Harry needed a medication or blood test. I reached back out to the team at the Vet Clinic several times and they have been stellar at stepping up for Harry, prescribing what the Cardiologist requested at the Compounding Pharmacy next door (Harry will not take a pill so liquid it is on all 4 medications!). Since we are still in the year time frame and Harry was actually in the office for a shot one day, he is still considered a patient and, with the problems I am encountering in Delaware with vets, I will be driving back to Worthington in days/months to come for Harry's needs, where he will be back with the family that cares about him. This practice, with Dr. Kellogg who retired, Paula Moeller and now Missy Shardy and Kim will always be family and are highly recommended.

When my wife got home from the follow up Bailey developed a blood clot almost immediately & it was too late by the time she could rush her back to the vet. We all know there were risks involved with this type of surgery but $8-$9K later (emergency room, pre surgery x-rays, surgery on 2 knees) & no dog is tough to digest. You would have thought the vet would have refunded something, particularly on the second surgery. Again, we understand there are risks involved here going in.
