I would encourage anyone shopping at Perfume Collection at Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach to inspect…read moreevery item carefully before leaving. I recently purchased a bottle of Versace Crystal Noir and later discovered that the sprayer was missing its top. When I returned to the kiosk, the young man working there appeared annoyed that I interrupted his phone call. Instead of listening to my concern, he immediately accused me of doing something to the bottle and even laughed while speaking with me, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. He then called someone, and I overheard them say that because I didn't have my receipt, they couldn't help me--even though I had proof of purchase on my American Express statement. It was disappointing that they were unwilling to verify the purchase or make any effort to resolve the issue. What makes this even more concerning is that this isn't my first negative experience. On a previous visit, I almost purchased what appeared to be a used perfume, but fortunately I noticed before leaving. This time, I trusted the product without inspecting it thoroughly, and I regret doing so. Customer service should be built on respect, professionalism, and a willingness to help customers--not assumptions, accusations, or dismissive behavior. I have made significant purchases from this business in the past, but after this experience I will be taking my business elsewhere. There are many retailers that value their customers, and I prefer to support businesses that stand behind the products they sell and treat people with courtesy. Shop carefully and always inspect your purchase before leaving.

This place at the Volusia Mall has the rudest employee I have ever had the displeasure of meeting…read more This guy actually made me feel threatened. I had bought an item there from someone else before and now inquired if they had it. When I asked for the price he in turn asked me what I had paid before, I remarked that what I had paid before didn't matter. His answer was to cuss and tell me he would not sell to me. He actually began to curse, and wanted to assault me, I thought his black hair and beard would turn red! Guess to him it didn't matter that I am a disabled senior who walks with a cane. He is just a very nasty abusive individual by nature who should consider himself lucky to even have a job. Avoid this place at all costs.

I first wanna start off and give major props to Sydney. She is the receptionist for the salon department and when I say she had excellent customer service, she truly had excellent customer service. My son is autistic and despite his disability, she spoke directly to him regarding his service asked if he needed any water and was just overall very kind and it is something that I truly appreciate. She gave me the business card so that I can call and book his next blowout directly because his hair is thicker. It did take a little bit more time, but I was OK with that. Miss Kayla is the young lady that gave Joseph a blowout. She made sure to detangler his hair starting from the ends (again, if you know...you KNOW). I know that all hairstylist go to school to learn how to do hair, but sometimes people aren't well-versed on black hair and Kayla was. Once again, she was excellent very kind very gentle. She made sure Joseph's hair was moisturized before blowing it out as his hair tends to get a little dry and she did a excellent job and it helped because his hair was able to get braided after without any issues. The salon in itself has many products for a hair coloring hair washing they do deep condition, conditioning, treatment, treatments, trims, etc. So if you are African-American and or multi race and have thick curly hair, I 100% recommend Kayla I can't speak for the other stylist because I don't know if that's their thing but she did an excellent job. Thank you ladies so much me and Joseph will be back.!

Bath & Body Works claims one of its core values is being "Consumer-Obsessed." My experience at this…read morelocation proved the complete opposite. I received coupons in the mail and brought them into the store to use. When I went to check out, I was told they had already been redeemed. I had literally just torn them off the mailing envelope and put them in my wallet. I did not use them. I was understandably confused and asked for help. The cashier, Jess, with short black hair immediately told me I had "probably gotten hacked" and that Bath & Body Works "sees it happening all the time." When I asked what could be done, her response was simply, "There's nothing I can do for you." Rather than trying to investigate the issue or offer any kind of assistance, she seemed annoyed that I was asking questions. She called for backup and told the person assisting her that helping me "was going to be a while." After I continued asking if there was anything that could be done, she finally said, with an attitude, "Do you want me to get my manager?" An old short blonde haired manager came over, and after I explained everything again, her immediate response was also, "There's nothing I can do about that." No attempt to investigate. No attempt to find a solution. No empathy. Just another employee telling me there was nothing they could do and leaving me to figure it out myself. At that point, it wasn't even about the coupons anymore. It was about the way I was treated. If Bath & Body Works is aware that customers are regularly having their coupons redeemed without their knowledge, why is there no process to help those customers? Instead, I was told I was "probably hacked" and then essentially sent away and instructed to call corporate, while I was standing at the register asking for help. Bath & Body Works also claims to value being "Accountable" and "Generous." Neither was demonstrated during this interaction. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was asking for assistance with a problem that apparently happens "all the time," according to your own employee Jess. I understand stores have sales goals and metrics, but when those goals become more important than treating a customer with basic respect and actually trying to help them, you've completely missed the point. I have been a loyal customer, but after this experience, I will not be returning to this location and frankly, I want to know why your customers are being hacked and your solution to assisting when you're aware it's happening. Your core values sound great on paper. Now try putting them into practice.
