However, this week I drove my husband's car, which is sans XM and my Ipod is dead, so I ended up listening to the radio. I felt very 1999... I was searching around for good tunes, etc. Anyway, I stumbled upon this station because they were playing a song from the late 90s that I legitimately haven't heard in a million years.... Never There by Cake. They are committed to playing 53 minutes of music per hour (which is pretty decent... I can deal with 7 mins of ads over the course of an hour...) and they don't talk over songs... CLUTCH. So fine, I'm not sure I heard the latest Coldplay song on there, and I don't think Katy Perry songs will be on there anytime soon. But they played Hey Jealousy recently, and if you don't believe you can check out their playlist on their website... Try them out. If you really like them- you can listen online whenever you want! The programing use to be so good especially on Saturday evening....honestly who listens to this now...Prairie Home Companion, Page Wilson's show, George Maida's show all gone....yes I know they are dead but look what they were replaced with...now I am listening to the Brazilian hour....come on now....always a good cut or two but that's it...who is this programming for? Thankfully, President and CEO Curtis Monk hit the bricks last September. However, there is still considerable room for improvement.
