New pool installation: 16x32…read more This review is my experience with the contractor Bey Pools who completed a new pool at our property. The project started March-7 completed by June-12. This project started off on a good note with weekly communication on each step during process. The minute I had conversation with the contractor about our concerns is when communication started to break down. This is when you think back that a paying customer should be heard and is usually correct especially when you're spending north of 60k just for the pool.. not pavers or electrical, however this wasn't the case. There was tension throughout the remaining pool install all the way up to the cleaning process. I'm very big on if you tell a person you're going to do something then you do it even if you don't want to, you accepted the job. We already have issues with plaster chipping on the pool floor, which I was told it would be good for 10years or more- Hmmmm!!!! All payments were made on time and even before some of the steps were completed. The pool was suppose to be cleaned for 30days since the contractor chose not to acid wash the plaster when his crew completed it. We now have spots at the bottom of our brand new pool which we will have to have someone else come to fix because I don't trust the warranty since it wasn't done correctly in the first place. I contacted the pool installer to see if they could come give me tutorial on the equipment they installed but couldn't even get a call back. I contacted at-least 5 other pool companies for a tutorial/inspection and quote for weekly service. One told me to take pictures and come to their store (not helpful), 1 setup appointment but were no show. The other 3 wouldn't return calls or emails. First coast contacted me back within hours of my request and came out 2 days later. The owner was super friendly and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Ended up setting up a weekly service to get pool under control. I may end up taking it over myself once I understand it more but they are so friendly I may just keep the weekly service. They have been here twice now, pool is clean, equipment is working and provide a email service report each week with photo of pool, chemical readings and summary of the chemicals added and services rendered. To my knowledge not super harmful, but super annoying. We've been getting our pool cleaned weekly by Coastal Pool Care and so far we've been super happy with the service and attention to detail. The gentleman who comes to clean our pool weekly is always here around the same time, same day. While he's cleaning the pool he takes photos and sends them to my husband to let him know he's been here (normally I'm home, but I don't handle that stuff lol). Also, the reason I mentioned those inch worms are because when a rain comes or overnight the pool can be covered in them. Seriously, they're everywhere. Coastal Pool Care manages to get all of them. While having a bugless pool doesn't last (due to nature and weekly cleanings), he does a very good job ridding the pool of these annoying bugs, checking the chemicals, and being prompt and on time.
