I learned to drive with Robert at ABC Driving School in 2008, and I still think about what that…read moreexperience gave me - over 100,000 miles later. Before that, I'd had some rough experiences: An instructor in Dubai who yelled at me and ran errands during class time--then called me "bathmeez" (rude) when I asked her to stay on task. A Craigslist instructor in Austin who dropped me mid-lesson for calmly asking not to be shouted at. Being a young woman who looked even younger -- and dared to set boundaries - meant I was often treated like I didn't belong behind the wheel. Then I found Robert. He was calm, patient, and never once made me feel small for learning. His steady presence helped me rebuild confidence and feel safe behind the wheel. I passed my road test on the first try--and more importantly, I've been driving confidently ever since. I didn't leave a review back then, but I'm writing one now--because sometimes the things that shape us most don't get acknowledged in real time. Thank you, Robert. I still drive with the confidence you helped build.

Signed up for the driving class online and it went fine. BUT... I consider this as fraud to sign someone up for an unrelated service (just because it has to do with cars?) just because you signed up for their class. If you don't catch it on your credit card statement you'll be paying it forever because of how they charge it. It'll follow your credit card account even if you cancel that number and get a new one issued.

I enrolled in this driving school expecting to learn how to drive. What I got instead was an…read moreunsolicited sermon. Apparently, the curriculum here is designed around praising Jesus. I am not a Christian. I did not sign up for a religious experience. If I wanted spiritual guidance, I would have gone to church, which I won't, because that is simply not who I am. Teach me to drive. That is literally your one job. George is also arrogant, acrimonious and loves to moralize at you like you are sitting in his congregation. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable and frankly offensive. Keep your religious views to yourself, this is a driving school not a place of worship. The cars are another story altogether. Ancient, dirty and falling apart. Every single lesson I was just hoping the car would survive long enough to get me back. It was embarrassing honestly, let alone unsafe. I walked away after spending so much money having learned absolutely nothing about driving. Not one useful thing. I joined Coastline Academy shortly after and the difference is night and day. Being there has shown me exactly how much this school dropped the ball and how little they actually care about teaching you anything. Avoid this scrapyard of a place. Seriously. Go anywhere else.

They are also very knowledgeable and patient and I was able to learn and pass my test thanks to their expertise and experience. Brandi was my main instructor and she was absolutely great. I also had Elias and Hector and they were very nice and easy to work with as well. Also shout out to Yolanda and Nalani for making booking and processing so smooth and easy. Overall, a great bunch of people and a complete pleasure to work with!

To learn the basics of stick shift this class is awesome! My instructor Alex was amazing. I left…read morethe course thinking (yes thinking) that I knew how to drive a stick shift. Now, the reason for the three star rating is because the course is designed to teach you the basics of stick shift, however, there are no follow up opportunities to practice. There is also no time with the instructor on the open road. All lessons take place in a parking lot. Since learning to drive stick is something I really wanted to do, I went out and bought a stick shift car. I learned very quickly that there were MANY things not covered in this course. I managed to learn them by just getting in the drivers seat and figuring it out. In summary, if you don't know how to drive stick at all this is the course for you. Keep in mind you will only know the basics upon completion and are likely not prepared to take the drivers seat on the open road. You will need some type of follow up driving lesson on the open road and more practice before you actually can drive by yourself.

What could have made it better is if there were actual props to help guide us as beginners. Something simple like cones could help. But over all it was a positive experience.
