The Oncology nurses in the treatment room feel like my family. They help me laugh, when I want to cry. The labcorp tech is gentle and kind and I have to admit I try not to have bloodwork done when she is not in the office - lol. It isn't easy to treat patients that are in the most stressful event of their lives - yet, they all do it as a team. I started coming here after my first relapse and my PCP did not know what was going on with me. I talked to Dr. Sharron and she was able to diagnose me right off the bat. I still had to do the follow up appointments to confirm her diagnosis. However, she was right! I was glad to put a face to the illness. She has told me several times to get a second opinion on my illness or prescribing therapies for my MS. I don't. I trust her and her expertise too much to do that. From the first day I met him he was very descriptive in explaining to me the gallbladder issues I'm having, showing me the ultrasound and explaining the process along with why I should get sooner than later. Yep. Booked that day a month out with surgery scheduler Denise . I also had to obtain FMLA Paperwork from his office with Maria that was done in a timely manner and sent to my employer . NOW Today was my surgery at the Methodist Ambulatory Hospital and everything was perfect from checking in with Rosario, Pre-Op Nurse Jessica, OR Nurse Monique, OR Tech Dante, Recovery Nurse Shelly and my Anesthesiologist who I cannot recall her name but over all 10/10 experience from Day 1 to day of surgery. I've been home 7 hours and took pain meds an hour ago for first time but think the Exparel shots in surgery are why I'm not on extreme pain. He saw me on many occasions and often times very last minute was able to open up his schedule. The one area of critique I would give is that, he was not as open as I would've liked him to be around alternative treatments. From his perspective, I understand his frustration because it had taken him a long time to get me in a good place and he felt I was at risk of ruining it. But It turned out the alternative treatment did help. However, still five stars because he did get me a float.
