The wave machine is an half-hourly fun-time, swim and sun-bathe outside, use the slides or diving boards too if you dare! Safety is important and life guards are there in abundance, the water is clean, not overpoweringly chlorinated, changing and showering facilities plentiful and clean, hair dryers free to use even. Public transport connection is good and plenty of free parking too.

Ridiculously expensive indoor swimming pool/wave pool. You know, we had wave pools in the States…read moreback in the 70's. It's not as if it's THAT big an atttraction. Anyway, they have a regular pool, a wave pool with beach-style shallow end, various saunas, and two, relatively decent slides. It's a decent sort of place but I just find the prices hard to justify and I give them poor marks for the extraordinary rudeness of employees. If I'm going to have an 18 year old school dropout run their mouth to me, I'm certainly not going to pay 50 Euros for the experience. I've since found much cheaper indoor pools for the kids and they don't really miss the waves.

Why do they call it Sportbecken, meaning tournament-size? Basically, it's a children's water…read moreplayground with an adjacent half-size 5-lane pool. Several whirlpools at one side, nice plants around, for some the illusion works. But for swimming, it's useless most of the time. Another cheat: they advertise fitness/workout aside, but the receptionist has no idea, suggesting I go to the fitness club and ask, no thx, and ofc the fitness area is completely separate from the pool area. The website mentions a fee for swimmers who want to do a workout, but no information is available anywhere. Right, u just wanna get a 12 months contract after getting soaked. If it weren't so smallish and crowded, it would be ok at a price of 4,50 (sauna costs extra) for 90 or 60 min., depending on weekday/time, most of the money seems to go into decoration.
