Years later and I am back at Wightman Farms! It was just like I remembered it and this time, we made sure to arrive right when the farm opened on a Sunday morning. Tickets were around $30 which include a hayride, souvenir bag for apple picking, one pumpkin, access to the corn maze and more. We started with the hayride first it was so relaxing and the air was still cold and crispy. It led us right to the pumpkin area where we got to select one pumpkin then head over to explore the rest of the farm. Apple picking was nice but if you can't do mini hills, you may want to stay on even land. We walked as far as we could to pick apples then headed to the area where they weigh your bag and then you pay for them. There's also pumpkin slingshot that is an additional charge plus food vendors. A lot of the vendors only took cash so keep that in mind. Lastly, we stopped at the store and although it was crowded, we already knew we were there for apple cider and donuts. In addition to that, you'll find salads, sandwiches, pies, apples, candy corn, etc. Definitely get cold or hot cider to go plus a bag of donuts. They have tons of parking too and staff to direct you to an empty spot so no worries there. Just enjoy the day and have fun!! read more

Wightmans never disappoints. I've been coming here annually for apple picking with my family for the past four years and the kids continue to love it. The apple cider donuts are the best and the cider is so good hot or cold. They have all of the specialty butters and jams and baked goods that you can imagine. The hayride is so much fun and you get great views. (Be prepared. It is a little bumpy). All of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they even have a pumpkin slingshot area, which is so much fun! All in all, Wightman's Farm has a great set up that is family-friendly, and not overly expensive. It's definitely worth the drive. read more

Last week of August provided peaches, nectarines, and apples for pick your own. Good variety of apples planted all over the orchard. Pay $12 per entry to the pick your own fields. Then, everything you pick in the bag that you're provided with is weighed. Two half empty bags weighed $80, which felt insane. No pricing advertised anywhere--"seasonal prices" so it's a surprise how much you'll have to shell out for such joy. Paying over $100 for one, not fully full, bag of fruit was a hefty price. I enjoyed spending the day at this peaceful orchard. Just wish it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Porter potties on premises. Nowhere to wash your hands, so bring water bottles and paper towels. During Small Business Saturday, we stopped in the farm store to look around. Outside they were selling Christmas trees, wreaths, and other holiday decoration items. Inside the farmer's store we got a coffee and a bag of donuts as we looked around. They have a lot of items to include freshly made donuts, pies (it appears that is their #1 product during the holidays), homemade pre-made sandwiches, cold cuts, cheeses, and plenty of spreads. Some items can be a bit pricey, but its always nice to spend a little extra at the local small businesses. The one star deduction was the staff..did not have a welcoming vibe, almost felt as if the customers were interrupting their small talk at the register. read more

I went here to pick up some apple pie for the holiday!! They have soo many options.. all the pie were line up and stacked by the displace therefore it was very easy to look for the pie I want!! The also have other baked goods like cider donuts and cookies, they also have fruits and veggies, and other cooked/prepared food.. they also sell seasons decorations.. they also have farms to pick your fruit/veggie.. but I haven't tried.. so have to try that out next time I visit!! read more

Had an autumn day with the family and this place was the perfect backdrop for our family day. We got to pick pumpkins and take a ride through the farm. Came here August 2024 for the very first time. It was an enjoyable visit for the most part. I definitely recommend coming during the off season in terms of not going during the pumpkin season. I went in October 2024 and it was a bit hectic and not as enjoyable as when I went in August. In August I felt like I could actually enjoy the farm. I still got to pick fruits and I got apples, peaches, and nectarines during my first visit in August. In October everything seemed to be picked over. Plus it wasn't super busy and overly crowded in August. They also have a small store where you can buy local produce and their cider donuts. The cider donuts were yummy and I got to try an apple cider donut sundae and it was yummy. The turkey and cranberry sandwich was delicious! If you have the opportunity get their egg salad. read more

I've passed this place for years and never stopped in. My intuition wins again because yesterday when I did pop a U-turn to check it out, the experience was not good. The store wasn't particularly busy and no one greeted me. Even though I counted at least 5 employees. Eyes followed me around the store though. I'll let you think over why. They had a few sweet delights I would have loved to try - blueberry crumb pie which is my absolute favorite, fun sodas, and banana bread pudding. First fruit picking farm so not sure what to expect as I've only been to flower farms before. I had high expectations of good views, activities, and fruits to pick. Unfortunately just went there couple days ago and this was the view, almost no apples or peaches ripe enough to pick, most of the trees were marked not ripe. The ones that were had either so little apples and peaches to pick, smallest sized fruit, or all so high up we couldn't reach and no stool was provided. It was also so much walking through nothing to get to the peach picking area. No transportation was surprising, the tractor ride was only a long circle around the farm which drew up so much dust and dirt I was breathing in the whole time and you could see my phone screen was covered with white dust particles. Also wasn't that much activities to do at all... most intriguing was corn maze but wasn't that photogenic or exciting either. The food was okay, had yummy donuts pack of 6 for$8 and decent cheesesteak for$15 with lots of seating area but overall farm admission for$30 plus over$3 per pound for fruit didn't seem to worth it. As many others have said this farm is pricey. $30 per person. You get 1 pumpkin, tractor rides and access to several play areas for the kids. The corn maze was cool and challenging. The reason I'm giving it three stars is the apples were lacking. I mean common it's an apple farm! Most of the rows were marked not ripe and the ones that were left a lot to be desired. I remember apple picking at this farm about 5 years ago, when it was an unusually hot day in October. Drenched in sweat, I drove home to shower, rather than shop in the market. In need of a pie for Thanksgiving, I took a recommendation from a friend, to return to Wightman's. The store is absolutely wonderful. With an assortment of baked goods, produce, candy, holiday stuff {poinsettias, wreaths, garland, trees, glass ornaments, etc.}, honey and jams, and PIES !!!! Lots of pies. A dozen or so flavors of homemade pies (I saw a guy making some behind the counter) It was hard to choose which one to buy, but settled on the "Medley". The cashier was very sweet and gave me specific instructions, to make sure it would stay fresh. And they were only $20.00. I will be back to try all of their flavors. read more

Visited the farm on a weekday in Sept. to avoid the weekend crowds after seeing ads on Facebook. After a 30 minute ride we were surprised there were no fall decorations & the flower display was lacking, however we came for the apple cider donuts & fresh produce. The prices in the retail store were outrageously expensive but I purchased some peaches, 6 donuts & an apple pie. The 4 small peaches totaling $5.00 were average tasting, the pie at $19.99 was excellent, but the 6 for $8.00 donuts were less tasty than the ones we had at DD the previous day. I support local so I went to Wightman Farm to purchase a chicken pot pie that they carry in their freezer section from Griggstown Farm. I was disappointed when I went to Kings in Bedminster to find the same 2.75 lb pie in their freezer section for more than $10.00 less than I paid at Wightman. The price markup is unacceptable and it makes you wonder how much the other items are marked up. I will not be shopping there again. read more

Frustrating experience. We used to enjoy this place, but we will now steer clear. While the food has merits--dense, flavorful sandwiches stuffed with cold cuts and various condiments, an impressive selection of vegetables, canned goods, and delicious pies--the management's unfriendly attitude overshadows it all. Service is lacking and often unpleasant. The management is grouchy and unkind, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. Service staff seem more agreeable than management, which says a lot. I usually hit up Wightman Farms for Thanksgiving pies and my Christmas tree. Unfortunately my most recent trip for pie put a really bad taste in my mouth. They get BUSY for Thanksgiving, so of course the place is swamped. I totally get it and the day before Thanksgiving must be their busiest day of the year. You can call ahead to place your order to ensure a quick and easy pick up process which is super helpful. When I walked in I was a little confused about the arrow signs that led to the pick up area, so I asked an employee if he wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction just to be sure. He then proceeded to raise his voice and actually yelled at me for not reading the signs. Again, it's a busy time and that can be stressful. But this just felt like terrible customer service and really shook me up. I don't think I'll be giving them return business, which is a shame because they sell delicious pies. It'll be hard to justify coming back after being yelled at. read more

I hate to write this review as we have been coming here for 10+ years for annual apple picking, but the pricing has gotten completely out of hand. We came last year and it was $25/person, and we were given a ticket to come back for pumpkin picking and one other seasonal event for free. Ok, expensive but fine... we also needed to pay for any apples we picked. This year, it's $25/person, even kids, with no ticket to come back later in the season and the prices for apples were raised to $3.69/pound. We pay, and no food stations are opened - no corn, no pickles, no sausages etc. They said it's "too early in the season" - so why are the tickets so expensive? We aren't interested in the corn maze or the tractor ride, which - they used to make these priced separately from the apple picking ticket. This is so unfortunate and frankly, money hungry. We returned our bracelets and didn't apple pick this year. They have a good farm store, but I wish they would rethink the apple picking. There are many other farms we will go to in the future, and they don't charge $25/person for apples. If you think this is just an "us" problem, the cars in their parking lot have dwindled significantly over the past few years. I get everyone is tight on money but raising your prices and doing nothing to improve what you're offering is disgusting. read more

Has to be one of the top 3 places as far as farms in the fall to go to. They really go all out. They have things to do for everyone. Concession stands, food trucks, apple picking, pumpkin picking and my favorite is there food store. The store has literally every single fall treat you can think of. Very glad I visited Wightman's Farm on such a beautiful day. The ticket for entry is $20, which includes access to the corn maze, hay ride, and a pick-your-own pumpkin. The hayride goes around the entire property, which takes around 15 minutes. The view is amazing right now with the foliage. Social distance isn't enforced on the ride, and there was one other party except mine. The corn maze is bigger than many others, which makes it fun for adults as well. No farm animals, but enough activities that would entertain everyone! The store has a variety of homemade food, perfect for the fall (I.e donuts, cider, apples, pies, etc). The cider donuts are handmade, and not overly sweet. I recommend. They also offer various cheeses and even meat and cold cuts. Of course, lots of fresh produce as well. It's a mini supermarket, and you can definitely shop for dinners there if budget allows. The only downside I can think of is the bathroom situation. No physical bathrooms, just porta potties. This farm is beautiful, definitely gives Fall seasonal vibes. Good place to get some pictures, pick some apples, eat fall foods and purchase fresh good quality stuff to take home. The problem with this place is the price. You pay 20 dollars just to be there and then you pay to 2.99 a pound for apples then you have to pay for the apples itself once your done. I ended up spending nearly 40 dollars on apples! Pretty ridiculous. All the food trucks are also overpriced. Parking is also hard to find. It's not a quick parking experience. I really liked this farm but they are on the pricier side and up charge everything. It was $7 per person just for Apple picking and more than $2.00 a lb. The whole farm thing... it's nice, but it's not $25 nice. Fortunately I was with someone with a season pass and, maybe given it was a fall Saturday and already packed inside, I was able to wangle my way in for a much more reasonable $10 for just apple picking. Which is all I wanted to do, and you have to pay for the apples anyway, and it's not that cheap for apples, so yeah. Not worth the price if that's what you want, go elsewhere. But if you want the full farm experience with rides, kid stuff, etc., sure, this is a good place for that. As far as apples go, there are a number, but none of the rows are labeled. There are section headers every few rows but the apples seem to change more frequently than that, and the farther back (away from the trees picked clean by children) you go, the fewer labels you see. I picked what seemed like a decent cross section of various apples. Ate a couple as I went - you're allowed to eat as many as you can stand, and that at least is a nice perk for the price. Verdict: Decent date venue, better family-date venue (bring the kids), I would at least rank them above Alstede but there are others I'd visit sooner if it's just my own choice. read more

Wightman's Farms is a very nice family and friends spot to hang out for a day. If this is your first time here, go for the Ultimate Farm Experience. It comes with Hayride, Pick Your Own Pumpkin, Giant Corn Maze, Mazeland Mazes, Apple Picking, Tote Bag, Picnic Play Area and a Doughnut. Definitely worth it! There are tricky maze puzzles to keep everyone occupied for a little while especially that corn maze! Apples are very sweet and I heard from a friend who is a local say that the peaches were amazing too. read more

I've been here twice and if it weren't for all the activities like food vendors, maze and pumpkin patch from last time (one time there was none..) I would rate this place just 2 stars. Primarily because it isn't the ideal place to go to as a group/family for apple picking. It is $7 per person for apple picking (not including access to the maze or pumpkin patch) and then the per pound price is a bit much. We were warned each red bag they give you could reach $50 if filled up. We felt the placing of signs to where the apples were, was misplaced. It was a maze in itself finding the correct apples to match the signs. Not to mention we went in early September and there was so many rotten apples already. I think the farm has improved and is now pretty cute and fun, but unless you are a 'PYO member' year round when they also have strawberries, peaches and nectarines, then I am not sure it is the best for just apples. My family has been going to Wightman's Farms for years. While we do not typically apple pick there, we always stop in for a cider donut and either warm apple cider or the cool slushie version. Yes, I said "slushie"!! Their donuts are made fresh and available plain, or topped with powdered sugar or cinnamon. (I would recommend the cinnamon.) They also sell various local products, such as jams, and their fresh produce. My only complaint (really a 3.5-star review) is that they occasionally run out of certain products, like warm cider, during the busy fall season. Do not go here. Overpriced. Rude staff. Last day of the Apple picking season and the only apples to pick are on the ground. My son picked up several apples. When we got to the pay station, we noticed that more than half of my sons apples were rotten. We ask that the rotten apples be removed so that we only pay for the good apples and they told us that it was a POLICY that anything brought to the pay station must be paid for - even the rotten apples. This is a Price gouging company that does not care about the customer. We not only had to pay for rotten apples at 3,29 a pound, we also had to pay an entrance fee (25 per person - discounted today because the only apples left are on the floor). The entrance includes a hay ride, a small pumpkin and no apples) I will NEVER go to this farm again and I will make sure to tell all my friends read more
