When I saw Beatrice for a consultation for a wig. She was very pleasant, patient, understanding,…read moreetc. We decided on a wig but I asked her not to order it until right before my surgery. I put down $100 for a deposit and Beatrice assured me it would be applied to the cost of the wig. By the time it was ordered, I was told it was back-ordered but nobody ever contacted me to tell me. I was subsequently scheduled to come in and see Tory (after calling there 3 or 4 times) who stated that the color I specifically wanted was backordered but other colors were not. She pushed me to find another color in the same wig and was not very pleasant about it. When I left, I said to my husband, "I did not like her at all". At one point, Tory even said to me, "You chose that color" when I mentioned my hesitancy about the new color. No, Tory, that was my second choice. Then she quoted me a price of $500 when Beatrice had told me twice it was $375. Tory told me the deposit DOES NOT go toward the cost of the wig. I have spent the last week ruminating over my choice and decided that it was not worth the $100 wig deposit I would forfeit to pay over $350 for my second choice. They can keep the wig or return it but I am going to get the wig somewhere else. Much better experience at LNY salon in Alpharetta. If they truly were an ethical business they would return my $100 deposit. Either these people do not know what they are doing or they are lying outright to get more money from their customers. Addendum: I sent a hand written letter to the owner over a week ago and no response. I guess that shows how much she cares about customer satisfaction and her employees emulate her behavior well.

The clerk at the front counter greeted me when I entered- which is always pleasant, and the store was fully stocked with a variety of name brands (hair and hair care products) that I love and trust. We spoke extensively on the phone over her process for curating the wig and then we set a consultation. She was quick to get us in as my mother was going to be starting chemotherapy soon, and we wanted to make sure that she had a wig when her hair would start to fall out. We were greeted at a lovely office and went through all different types of wig options and customizations. They even offer a very private session where you get your wig, and your head is shaved and you leave essentially the same way you came in... so you don't experience all your hair falling out in a dragged out process. We were all very emotional at the consultation and touched by the pitch. At the end of the consultation, weI were informed the wig would be around $5000. This would not include the class offered to learn how to care for the wig properly. That would be an additional fee. While my mom felt very encouraged and positive after her meeting, I was a tad skeptical. The sales pitch made it seem like the wigs were made, totally in-house, but in reality they were just basic wig samples, matched to the color needed, and then cut in office and colored to desired shade, highlights, etc. There was nothing custom essentially to the wig as complete measurements were not done. The price and the added items that weren't included did not sit well with me. While my Mom was ready to pull the trigger, I told her to hold off while I researched more and quickly---thankful she trusted in me. It was so important that my mom found the best quality. In doing my research, I found a wig 90% cheaper and got it custom styled and colored for less than $200. It was the same real hair that was going to be offered at this custom salon and it looked exactly like my Moms natural hair! I am saddened to think that people can be taken advantage of during difficult times in life , especially when they do not really have any knowledge of wigs. We knew, going into finding a custom real human hair wig that it would be expensive, but after stepping back from this consultation, we realized that the price point at this location was absolutely absurd. I encourage you to continue looking. I was left stewing after the consultation inside unbeknownst to my mother, because I knew that this place was totally taking advantage. The fees that were never mentioned, and the extra offers that are included in the price of their very expensive wigs is disgusting for the fact that it's just taking advantage of people. That fee does not even count towards the cost of the very much over priced "custom" wig.

My advice is to embrace your hair loss and wear cute hats before acting out of desperation and spending this enormous amount of money, (you will never recoup this much from your insurance company).
