The communication that had been so key early on had faded, and I honestly didn't know if we were on the schedule or had been completely punted. I had to follow up to ensure things were on track. It took multiple weeks to have someone out. I think it's because of the frequent rains throwing off the schedule, but again it felt my messages were sort of going to a void. They gave me about an hours notice when someone was coming out, and he did a really nice job. I was very surprised when I got the bill and it was $125 more than it's ever been in the past. Especially surprising because the email thread we had been going back and forth in had our prior invoice at $275, not at $400. When I asked what was up they cited that it took their employee three hours and my gutters were more clogged than before. To me, nothing has really changed, if anything we have had more trees trimmed back, and more importantly, I didn't know that would affect the cost so dramatically. It had been under a year and half since I last had them out. Had I known, I absolutely would've gone with a more reasonable option. I also felt like their response was a bit off-putting, and I'm surprised because again we've hired them at least three times and I've had such positive interactions up until now. I'll be looking elsewhere moving forward; they do a nice job, and are a professional enough company, but the lack of customer service and shockingly high bill will have me finding a new go-to for my annual gutter cleanings.

We knew there was a risk of the job costing more than quoted because of shoddy materials from the previous roofer being used and Chad, our sales contact, was up front about that from the get go. We didn't end up using their financing but the process to apply was quick and simple. Then they had their gutter contractor come out to replace our gutters as well and they look wonderful (and work which is what matters most!). While there were issues, concerns or miscommunications we were always contacted quickly by Chad or Frank, their foreman, and walked through the problem with as much care as possible. I did talk to other companies and got several bids on both of these projects before I made a decision. The first project was not standard at all. The house was a 1970's cedar log house kit home that had a vaulted tongue & groove cedar wood decking that was also the ceiling. Owner Jeff came out and was quick to spot challenges with the unique construction that others had not noticed. After meeting him I was confident that he knew what he was doing. Jeff and his son (also named Jeff) both worked together on this project. They were meticulous with everything and the job looks wonderful. While there, they did a thorough inspection of my roof, patched a few spots, and replaced some wind damaged shingles. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this roof didn't need replaced yet and it has a lot of life left. Honesty and integrity like this is so rare these days! I just recently hired them again to replace the entire roof on my primary home. This roof was well beyond its life expectancy and needed a lot of work. After quickly removing the old roof they found and corrected some attic venting issues, patched some bad decking, and replaced a lot of rotted fascia boards. The crew was fast, friendly and considerate of our property. The yard was meticulously cleaned up, better than it was before they started. I am so glad I chose Stewarts Roofing. Not only did they exceed my expectations in every way, they upgraded us with a better quality Class 3 impact resistant roof product and even still had the best pricing. Jesse was amazing dealing with the adjusters and when the installation began he and Nick made sure there was always someone on site to answer any concerns. This wasn't just a basic roofing procedure, my home had the original wood shakes under 2 layers of asphalt. The Lenexa company felt my location in Blue Springs Missouri was too far away to send someone to look at the job, was probably too inexpensive a job, and recommended I call someone local to my home. Of course the person who called said it was a busy season and it would be months before they could send someone to my location. So much for checking Yelp for a "good" gutter installer.

HORRIBLE! Aaron told me his company has over 20 yrs…read more experience restoring and building decks. I soon found out he's the only employee and lacks knowledge and skills working on decks. I have weeds growing out of my deck boards that sits 5-6 feet off the ground! My deck frame/support boards measure 3", he put a board 2 1/4" on top leaving a large gap for dirt, debris and water to collect and sit on top of my deck frame/support boards underneath resulting in weeds. This will also cause rotting on my deck frame/support boards. Railing boards were cut short and uneven too. He was cussing throughout the whole project replacing deck floor joists, floor boards and rails. He couldn't lift the joists and had to wait for a friend of his to come help him lift them, it took him 4 days to remove the wood screws in my existing floor boards grinding away at screws using the wrong bits or stripped bits. He said it was due to his battery on his drill being low but this happened everyday. I asked him a few time to make sure he picked up all the wood screws so I wouldn't get a flat on my riding lawn mower. I ended up finding almost 20 screws he left around my deck and yard and had to buy a magnet sweeper to make sure I picked them all up. It took him over 2 weeks to complete, a job that should've only taken 3-4 days. I know because I've had this done twice before. He spent a lot of time on the phone answering calls and returning phone calls to people while he attempted to work on my deck. When I told Aaron about weeds growing out of my deck, his response was it will cost me to come fix it and he sent me an invoice. He expects me to pay for his mistakes??? He proceeded to tell me he was a one man show and he has no retirement (his words). Like this is supposed to make me feel sorry for him and an excuse for shoddy work?
