Our roof needed repairing but it didn't need to be replaced. The top of our roof is flat and if we get water in our house, it comes from that flat roof. The company who'd replaced our roof didn't replace the flat part. They said it didn't need to be replaced. It was a rainy day when they collected the check. As soon as they were gone, our family room ceiling opened up and gallons of water poured in. The roofing company agreed to replace the flat roof but they did a sloppy job. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. If we have to replace our roof, we'll definitely use Easton and if anyone needs a roof replacement or repair, I highly recommend them. They've earned those 5 star reviews. read more

I asked the young man sitting in the truck if his boss knows that they park in handicap spaces. He laughed and said "yes." Our roofing experience has been a very mixed bag. Initially, Easton quoted a fair price for a hail damaged replacement: a 25-year roof that should last us the remainder of our planned time in this house. The project ran into multiple issues. First, they tied our covered patio into the main house roof when we explicitly told them not to, and the gutters weren't installed on that patio roof, which they then wanted to charge additional to fix, then when they did install those gutters, they failed to put a downspout which led to a third trip to fix. All in all, seemed they fixed their issues, and we thought the resolution was complete. Fast-forward a few years, and we had a leak that developed into a stain on our ceiling. They came out and determined snow must've got into the attic. They painted the ceiling to repair, which we thought was good...but then the same stain reappeared about a year later. This is where it really became an issue. Over the last six months they have sent three different people who all came up with different explanations: first it was our humidifier set too high (we didn't have it on) then it was snow blown in again. We needed new vent covers. No - we didn't, probably just the vents needed cleaning. Nope, not that, we do need vents closed to prevent snow entering into the attic. Wait, no that'll cause air flow issues. And for clarity, I've called about a dozen times and never hear back when they say (today end of day or end of week at latest) so I have to call again (I give weeks or a month between calls) and find out what the plan is. Today I got clarity: the plan is ... too bad it's just how it is. Sorry, sometimes things just happen and it's up to me to fix the staining, and yes if we have snow, it's possible to happen yet again. Or it's rain, they still aren't sure. What's frustrating is that I've already recommended them to no less than a dozen people, prior to this latest debacle. I'd recommend finding someone else to do your roof. read more

Easton Roofing replaced the roof of my elderly parents due to storm damage. A few weeks later, after a hard rain, we noticed a large water stain on the bathroom ceiling. This was alarming, because in 20 years they had never experienced a leak. Easton Roofing initially came to look at the roof and first said there was nothing wrong and the new roof had not caused the leak. We explained that the leak had not been there before, so they replaced some cupped shingles and spot treated the stain with Kilz spray twice. We contacted Dan, to explain the unsatisfactory appearance of the ceiling after they first time they sprayed it with Kilz and after the second time as well (why did they think they would get a different result). We sent a photo (see below), because it looks horrible. We requested that they paint the ceiling in the very small bathroom, to which Dan flat-out refused. We explained that it is a contractor's responsibility to restore a property to its original condition if they caused damage to it. They are not budging. For this reason, I am leaving an unsatisfactory review to warn others that this company does not make things right. read more

We spotted a leak after that last major rain. So, we decided that we'd better contact a roofing company to come take a look. The question was--which one? So, I immediately starting reading reviews...looking for companies with the most reviews since people tend to write them if they are either upset or very happy with a company. Easton had lots of glowing reviews about their work, helpfulness and the honesty. So, Easton was our choice. The company picked up on the first ring, very pleasant woman said there'd be someone out by 10:00 a.m. the next day!!!! A super, super-nice guy named Dan showed up, caulked an area that might be the culprit for free and left us with information about another possible repair if that doesn't solve the problem. Then he put a second collar around it in the event it somehow was sucked back down. I had a small portion of gutters and downspout replaced with wider gutters and they received the wrong color the 1st time, and then came back a 2nd time and installed the wrong color again,but I called Andy and he came out and correctly matched the gutters and rescheduled another time for them to come out and corrected the previous installation and have had no further problems. I had a leak above my front door from a recent rain and rushed over to yelp to find a good roofer. It was about 7pm. I filled out their website form for a quote and I got a call about 8:30pm to schedule an appointment. That was FAST! Two incredibly educated gentlemen came out to survey the situation the next morning. The issue was discovered and fixed in under half an hour. The total cost: One yelp review! Whaaaaat! This is a very knowledgable, well trained company of gentlemen and scholars! If you have ANY roofing issues whatsoever you would be a fool to contact any other company in the KC area. We had quite a frustrating experience with Easton Roofing, which surprised me after seeing such great reviews. It seemed that many of the answers we received during the sales process were not consistent with reality, or took us chasing Easton Roofing to get it delivered. 1) One important consideration for me in selecting a roofing company was the # days the project would take (not a fan of having my house be a worksite for day-after-day.) Easton Roofing told me ours would be a 1-2 day job, with materials delivered the day before they started. In reality, Easton Roofing started the job before all of the materials were available so the project took instead 7 days. I am glad that they came back to complete the work, but it was frustrating that I was having to chase this and that our home was a worksite for 5 extra days longer than I was told and the extra disruption to our lives. 2) During the sales process and in our contract, Easton Roofing ensured me they would run the magnet to ensure there were no nails left. We found multiple nails throughout our driveway and that they had not run the magnet in between the phases of the project while they waited for the next round of materials to come in. I called an complained and they ran the magnet, later had someone complete work on our drains, and I again found another nail in the driveway. 3) During the sales process they ensured me that the warranty was transferrable. Upon receiving the warranty, it says "this guarantee is not transferrable." In email, they would say that it is transferrable (I'm still hoping they make this right in the actual document) but it is frustrating that it is one more thing I have to chase rather than them proactively delivering what they promised. In addition to failure to deliver on several key items they promised, we had ongoing challenges with lack of communication, or only taking next steps once I prodded them along vs. a proactive and professional approach. 1) They had not completed parts of our scope of work when they cleaned up and left on the second day. I waited a day or two and they never communicated that the work was still outstanding, when they were coming back, etc. until I followed up to chase this. 2) I received no communication that they were coming one of the days when someone showed up and started climbing all over my house. This was very disruptive. When I complained, the Vice President assured me this would not happen again and he would proactively manage communication going forward. 3) Easton Roofing told me they would send me the warranty and receipt upon payment. I paid, and received zero communication. After 11 days, I prodded them along and they sent the documents. Again, this was yet another time when they will do it once you tell them to, but they put the burden on the customer to chase and prod and push them along every step of the way. I'm still hopeful that they will deliver the rest of the promises (TBD on that warranty) and that others that work with them will have a better experience! Based on my experience, I would not recommend choosing Easton Roofing, but if you do, be ready to prod them along each step of the way, get a nail in your tires, and do not trust what they say during the sales process or contract. read more

Very professional and efficient! Austin came out to give me an estimate, and he was the only company (out of 3) to actually climb up to the roof to see the actual issue. Their estimate was much higher than the other two companies, but Austin & his trainee were so personable that I decided to go with them. Saul came out to do the work, and he was excellent with his communication in letting me know exactly what they were doing, the time it would take, and even showed me pictures of the completed work. Love sharing my experience with Eason. Dan came out to inspect our roof as we had a number of houses in our neighborhood with roof damage after a previous hail storm. Dan called when he was on the way and showed up on time. Immediately jumped up on the roof and reported that all was well. Here is where he went above and beyond. I showed Dan an area of our ceiling that had some water marks. He crawled up in the attic to check out the damage and found that there was an area that needed caulking. He then wen back outside jumped up on the roof and fixed the issue. I was anticipating a bill of a $100-$200 for the service call etc. HE DID THIS AT NO CHARGE!!!
