Tip: bring a towel for slobbers if you plan to feed the animals. I've never been so close to so many wild animals before! We visited during the polar vortex and it was still opened! We were one of the first cars in the morning and the animals were excited to see us and be fed. Alpacas, cows, donkeys, camels were all gentle during feedings. Deer was a bit more hesitant so we tossed some food on the side for them. Long horns looked too intense so we did not attempt to feed them lol. The walking zoo was a treat as well. The feedings can be used to feed animals with hooves (i.e. hogs, goats). There's a playground for little ones in the middle area and a 'quiet walk' at the end and wrap around the lake area, which we did not as it was freezing cold. We might try to come back when the weather is warmer!

We took our friends 3 year old and Justin (Who was great) drove us on the bus. We had a great time, saw tons of animals, and got to feed them! We enjoyed it just as much as the 3 year old did! My favorite part was that most of the animals seemed to be very happy and have plenty of freedom and space to roam. I do feel that the lions and tiger in the walk about portion could have used some extra room in their enclosure. At the end of the day, it is a zoo.

We took the bus tour. It was spectacular. My five year old grandson got to feed the camels, llamas, zebras, etc. We also did the walk through where we got to see a few monkeys, goats, lions and giraffes. The staff was nice and accommodating. We can't wait to go back.

Our guide: Jungle Jesus. Great guy.

Highly enjoyed this interactive adventure. We're grandparents who took our 11 year old grandchild. We watched all ages have a riotous time. On the walk around: we met giraffes face to face, fed and pet goats, pigs, small and farm animals, observed big cats, various monkeys, otters, lemurs, hyenas, and other wild animals, also a great reptile house with a sloth. We paid just a little extra for a personal Capybara meet and greet. Our granddaughter squealed with joy as it got on her lap to eat. The knowledgeable guide told us so much about Capybaras. We did the driving tour in our own car, as opposed to a bus they offer free. The animals stuck their heads in our car to get pellets. They're friendly and adorable, slobbery and witty. I swear they could understand us. One camel stole a bags of feed out of my lap and watched me laugh like crazy. We saw wildebeest, donkeys, zebras, deer, various buffalo types, camels, long horns, alpacas, prong horn, Bhrama bulls, llamas, and lots of hoofed animals from around the world. Not only did we laugh, we had quality bonding time with our granddaughter. They're friendly animals that touched our hearts. The staff were so kind and helpful. I'm in a wheelchair. The Capybara exhibit is temporary, but the new one will be 100% accessible. I accessed the temporary pen, but it took some effort. In all, the park is definitely wheelchair accessible. Highly recommend!

    Grandaughter freaking out love it

Best animal adventure around, true hands on feeding the bus tour was great, Beverly our tour guide was friendly and gave us plenty of time to feed the animals, we do this tour every year for the last 5 years

A great place to stop at least once. Especially if you have animal lovers in your family. The walk around has lots of animals who come up for food. The drive thru has triple the amount of animals that come to your car windows and try to hitch a ride with you. Awesome experience! The restrooms are clean, the gift shop has some monkeys who are entertaining. There's a snack bar and dip n dots for sale if your hungry or need a cool place to relax.

This place is amazing!!! We been to several drive through encounters and other states like Oregon. By far this is the best one. We even showed up on our rainy day. Lot of the wild animals behind the cage we were able to get up really close like 3 ft away. The gift shop has few cute monkeys. And there's also a small indoor reptile place to look at. It was the longest drive through. Lot of the animals we engage with we're very human and imprinted. I saw emus, ostrich, zebras, bison, several types of deers donkeys pigs, camels and llamas. The zebras were my favorite when I was feeding them from my hand. But when I seen them nibble on my car mirror it was time for me to go lol!! This establishment spins millions on feeding these animals and taking care of them. I recommend buying two or three bags to help feed animals. This looks like it's going to be my monthly Hangout to visit. Now one of my favorite places and best places to visit in Missouri.

Went again this last weekend and it was awesome as always. So much fun!!!! Price can be a little high but it goes to the animals. Watch for a Groupon if looking for a discount.

We had so much fun! I've never been this close to a giraffe and he kept us entertained to say the least. The drive thru portion was way longer than I expected and the animals were fun!

This was the best birthday I have had in along time. Was so much fun getting to feed and interact with all the animals. Some of the animals can get a little ornery but funny at the same time. Add the sloth interaction and had such a great time feed them. All the staff were awesome. I will definitely be back.

This park was so much fun. The drive through safari was awesome! We got to feed so many animals, including a white buffalo and zebra. The drive is about 1.5 hours and absolutely worth it! We were passing through and decided to check it out so glad we did. We live 5 hours away and my daughter wants us to take a weekend trip to go back for her birthday!

When you walk in, they scan your tickets and then have you take a picture with the giant octopus. Next, they give you some 3-D glasses and have you watch a 4-D introductory video. It was cute and fun to feel the vibrations and wind. The actual aquarium is actually smaller than other aquariums and can take you less than 30 minutes to walk through. While we were at the gift shop, another member of the group and I decided to check out our group photo. We followed all the directions from the signs and waited for an employee to come over to the counter. However, what we didn't expect was the employee (longer blonde hair, maybe 16-17 years old) to walk another group over and then proceed to tell us that she wasn't going to help us because we didn't follow directions. When I asked what directions we didn't follow, she pointed to the sign and said that we went into the wrong entrance. When I told her that we did go through that entrance and had been waiting to be helped, she proceeded to continue to be rude to us and directed her attention to the other group. We ended up leaving without seeing what our group photo looked like. Overall, this aquarium is just okay and probably won't be returning next time I am in Missouri.

We got to feed the nurse sharks which was an awesome experience, and feeding the lemurs was absolutely incredible! The lion exhibit was so frustrating because they look depressed but also the glass was completely caked in dirt. (My video shows this). The lemurs were the only ones that looked happy. Most of the animals were depressing to look at. I feel so bad for them. The fish tanks throughout the facility were filthy and covered in algae to the point that you could barely see the fish... dripping down the glass and floating on the tops, waste buildup visible throughout the tanks, which was concerning and honestly heartbreaking for the fish. Very unhealthy. I mentioned my concern to Holly the manager. She then called over the aquatics employee and he agreed that they are very dirty, but they are last on his list. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, Holly became aggressive and hostile and repeatedly told me not to leave a review. The situation escalated to the point where I felt uncomfortable trying to leave because she was blocking my exit. I told her that if she did not move, I would have to call the police. Her response was, "OH! You haven't seen hostile Holly yet!!!," which I considered threatening and completely inappropriate. All of this occurred simply because I expressed concern about the condition of the fish tanks and the welfare of the fish. Customer concerns should be handled respectfully, not with intimidation. This place has a lot of bad reviews talking about the same thing we noticed. (I attached a few.) How is this place even open?? Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment.

By far the best part of the experience was the large butterfly arena with different butterflies from around the world. They give you this flower connected to a nectar vile and the butterflies basically come to you. In addition you get a laminated sheet which tells you what butterflies are in there so you can identify them. There are so many butterflies you almost forget about the pretty hummingbirds around. There is a cool mirror maze, 3D movie and slide to keep your kids occupied. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they care about their job. Prices paid for admissions which was a little pricier than expected: Child- $11.00 per ticket Adult - $32.00 per ticket Senior- $29.00 per ticket However, it's one of those prices you pay that you feel goes to a good cause to help the butterflies and other animals there. However, even with expansion work going on and things unavailable that we were excited for during our visit it was still a five star visit. The Butterfly Palace is an absolute must if you are visiting the area. We paid high price for so many attractions and this one was by far a favorite. The flight of the monarch's 3D movie was such a quick and educational film and the small reptile area had wonderful staff. Thank you to Evan that was the most patient and kind employee that we encountered while there. She answered all of my toddler's questions without feeling dismissed or in a hurry to move on. The butterfly room was beautiful. Educational for both adults and children with identification cards, binoculars, and magnifying glasses. I could have stayed there much longer than we did waiting for butterflies to land and admiring their beauty. It was truly a fantastic experience for all ages. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My only thing I would say is how crowded it gets. I felt like at one point it was shoulder to shoulder. I'm not sure they have limits on the amount of people in the room at one time or a way that they move people through. Either way 5/5 or 10/10!
