This place was pretty cool, but mostly geared towards kids and families. It's also a pretty short walk through. You can easily walk through the whole thing in like 30 minutes. The highlight of this place is definitely the underwater tunnel. It felt like I could reach out and grab the sea creatures! One thing that I thought was weird is that the tour starts off forcing you to take pictures with the aquarium mascot, which is something I've never quite experienced before. Family and I decided to visit this aquarium over the weekend while we were celebrating the first weekend of summer. When you walk in, they scan your tickets and then have you take a picture with the giant octopus. Next, they give you some 3-D glasses and have you watch a 4-D introductory video. It was cute and fun to feel the vibrations and wind. The actual aquarium is actually smaller than other aquariums and can take you less than 30 minutes to walk through. While we were at the gift shop, another member of the group and I decided to check out our group photo. We followed all the directions from the signs and waited for an employee to come over to the counter. However, what we didn't expect was the employee (longer blonde hair, maybe 16-17 years old) to walk another group over and then proceed to tell us that she wasn't going to help us because we didn't follow directions. When I asked what directions we didn't follow, she pointed to the sign and said that we went into the wrong entrance. When I told her that we did go through that entrance and had been waiting to be helped, she proceeded to continue to be rude to us and directed her attention to the other group. We ended up leaving without seeing what our group photo looked like. Overall, this aquarium is just okay and probably won't be returning next time I am in Missouri. read more

We really enjoyed this aquarium. It was not too crowded, and it was very kid friendly. I was a little confused as someone not from Branson, and I realized it was a fake "boardwalk". I really loved the tunnel, and the jelly fish mirror room! I personally could have stayed longer but the 2 year old wasn't enjoying the darker rooms "scary" was her review. I bet you could stay about 2.5 hours for a longer experience, or make it out in an hour if you were in a rush. read more

Wow this aquarium was so cool! It has a 5D ride upon entry and this amazing jellyfish room. I don't even know how to explain what a dream this jellyfish exhibit was. I could have stayed in here for hours. This place was so cool with really fun things to do and see. We loved it here! We have gone to a plethora of aquariums in our adventures and I consider this aquariums in the top 3, below Atlanta and Boston. There are lots of beautiful and wonderful fish here of all colors and sizes. The standouts are the bloom room, very cool. The giant aquarium, the sea horses, pinecone fish and flashing fish.really everything is pretty cool. The people who work here are very helpful as well. For pricing I strongly suggest doing the package deal of 4 other places. You'll see what I'm talking about when you visit or online. Yes this is going to cost $$ but hey you are in Branson everything is a bit pricey Overall we had a fantastic time, and when we come back to Branson in the future we will definitely visit. If you have little kids, this place is perfect for killing at least an hour of time! It's not too big so they're interested the whole time with lots of different activities. It was almost like a mix of a small children's museum and an aquarium. If you're an adult that frequently visits aquariums, you might be a little underwhelmed by the size. We had an amazing day at the Branson Aquarium! Admission was about $40 per person, or $38 for seniors, which is pretty standard for aquariums. It was well worth the price of admission, they have plenty of tanks of interesting and beautiful fish. I wish that there was more information about each tank and that they had more local, freshwater species. Didn't know what to expect in Missouri, but the aquarium was nice. I do wish the walkthrough was longer, and it felt a bit expensive for how short it was. That said, all of the exhibits were set up beautifully and very visually appealing, with a nice variety of fish. Most of the staff had great, interactive energy, and the petting area had knowledgeable staff who were helpful and engaging. I was really impressed with this smaller aquarium! It is very well done, my grandkids loved it. Starts with a 3D video that sets the tone and then you move through the observation areas where kids can crawl into bubbles for an up close and personal look! Nice place, but smaller and a little pricey. The displays they had were extremely well done and everything was very clean, and it was clear the animals were well cared for. This amazed me! We didn't think it was going to be anything special. We were here with 1 1/2 yr grandson, so why not give it a visit. From beginning to end , super clean and nice. The only thing negative to say is in mirror maze, some areas had cracked glass. This could be bad if parents not watching close. It's not super big and only took us an hour to go through. Small- we paid almost $60 for me and a 6yr old and with taking our time still done in an hour. My thought when I left was wow; I wish I could make $60 an hour!!! Had my doubts. I mean an aquarium in Branson? Ok, I was wrong. Buy your tickets online. There are entry times which I'm sure are to keep it from being too crowded which makes sense as it's not a wide-open space, but niches of different things to see and do. There were 6 of us Senior Citizens in October it was a little over $200 for us and that was with a Neighbors discount. Seriously, buy your tickets online. They have all kinds of discounts. Neighbors discount was that we lived in a neighboring state. It was off season so not crowded at 3pm in the afternoon on a Friday. There's a photo op for your group at the beginning. Staff take 3 pictures of you under the giant Octopus. A regular, a surprised and a silly. You can buy those when you leave. They also have a submarine adventure, but that was an additional cost. Beautiful displays of fish in large aquariums. The fish, etc. was well labeled with a picture and about the species. I have been to several large and small aquariums, and they had species I had never seen before. There was a mermaid room a shipwreck room. A tunnel through a tank with fish on the sides and overhead. An opportunity to touch stingrays (you have to wash your hands before you touch and after you touch). One of my favorite rooms was the jelly fish room. Tubes of jelly fish in a very low light room floating up and down. Beautiful and very calming. There is a gift shop at the end. I'm sure during the summers and school there may be a lot of kids so take that into consideration if you go. It was fun, we all enjoyed it even the grumpier ones of our group. We stayed about 1 1/2 hours so how long it takes depends on how you take your self around. I don't know how long the submarine adventure takes so if you do that plan accordingly. It was our first time visit to the aquarium. I was excited because I have read so many post on Facebook that were not good, we were skeptical as to rather it was worth it. Let me tell you we were delighted with it. Neither of us have wanted to go see the one at Bass Pro because it is so big. But Branson aquarium was perfect. The building itself is beautiful and the time put into all the details of the layout is very nice, but quite honestly the aquarium itself is small and not much to view. The have an interactive 3 minute ride that depicts you being taken under the ocean in an adventure, which i enjoyed. After that it's pretty much over after viewing the jellyfish tubes & stingray exhibit. Most staff is not talkative or seeming like they are really that happy to be there, but the worker taking the photos was very hype! That in itself makes going here totally worth it! ;) But seriously, the whole place was a lot larger than I thought it would be, there were interactive activities, and so much to look at. The various aquariums are large and in some cases sort of surround the observer. You really feel like you're in there! There's an area where you can pet stingrays, small sharks, and sea stars. About halfway through the place, there's a tall climbing area, perfect for kids who need a little climbing break. There's a whole room for jellyfish, which looks really cool. The whole place is really nicely laid out, with plenty of fish to see, things to do, and of course a gift shop at the exit. read more

The only advantage of this experience was the kindness exhibited by some of the staff. However, the admission price does not justify the visit. This aquarium seems to cater to tourists, capitalizing on their willingness to pay, which is reflected in the steep costs. I would not recommend it for adults; however, it may be suitable for families with small children, albeit it is quite a small venue. I suggest saving your money for a different attraction, or consider visiting in the evening when tickets are more affordable if you are determined to go. read more

Aquariums are one of our favorite places to visit. We enjoy anything wildlife related and the beautiful and often strange ocean wildlife is no exception. The Aquarium at the Boardwalk in Branson MO is a fun attraction with several tanks full of fish, sharks, and octopus. sting rays and other bright, colorful, and let's say unique specimens of fish. Whenever you pull into the parking lot you are greeted with a nice music-synced water fountain and a giant reflective octopus that appears to be trying to blend into its environment with reflective tiles covering it. Unfortunately for him, he is 55 feet tall and made of panels of stainless steel too big and reflective of the sun to hide as it drapes over the corner of the building. After paying a slightly more than modest entry fee (keep in mind it's not cheap to maintain an aquarium), you start your tour by getting your photo made with another large octopus. You get three photos made, a silly one, a scary one (you are getting attacked by a giant octopus after all) and finally a normal one. This octopus, Aquarius, and his friend Fin a yellow puffer fish are sort of the mascots of the facility and you will see them often throughout your tour, especially in the 5D submarine adventure. There are many different tanks full of live coral, plants, and of course beautiful fish. You will find unicorn fish, jellyfish, sea horses, clownfish, and lionfish among the 7200 individual sea animals. You will also see a beautiful green-themed room with 20-foot kelp. It's artificial of course but very cool and impressive. The highlights of our visit were the sea horses, the walk-through tank, and the interactive section. Yes, interactive as in petting, you can pet live stingrays, sharks, and even anemones! The anemones have these unique little fingers that cover them and feels a bit strange as they stick to you but it is so worth the experience. Once you finish your aquatic tour you end up in the gift shop. There are plenty of stuffed Aquarius' and Fins along with sweet treats, key chains, jewelry, and much more. Dont forget to pick up your pictures with the giant Aquarius. read more
