As a person with disabilities, I would not recommend this to others who have mobility challenges. I'm reviewing this through that lens. This is not a reflection on the exhibits or animals, just a reflection or caution that someone with physical disabilities will struggle with the terrain. I had a walker the day I went and couldn't manage the first steep hill on the walking path tour to see the cats. It's not just the steepness of the path but the unevenness as well. If you are fully healthy etc good knees, ankles, etc. then I'd rank it a 4 or 5 star. But it is not good for someone with mobility issues. Yes there is the drive through part as well but then I would say that it's not quite worth the price if that's all you do. They have a sign saying they are ADA exempt, but that is in regards to service dogs...not an architecturally exemption. read more

***Christmas Lights Drive Thru Review***** While driving we spotted an advertisement for a drive thru lights and pulled up. The price was $30 with an additional cost to buy feed for the petting zoo at the end which we were excited to do. The lights were beautiful we enjoyed driving and seeing the different classic Christmas scenes. I also loved that not all of them were LED based as actual lights. The drive thru light show was about 35 minutes and at the end you get to park, take photos and feed the animals. We fed the pigs, goats, and few other exotic animals. We didn't get a chance to go inside the indoor animal inclosure. I truly feel this was worth it and a great family event. read more

It was probably the cheapest thing we did in Branson as far as being worth the money it was. They don't have a bunch of exotic animals but there's plenty to see. The drive through was my favorite a bunch of animals came up and stuck Thier heads in the car looking for treats. I recommend it good value. read more

We had a blast at The Promised Land Zoo. The VIP plus experience was so worth the price and time. We held a baby kangaroo, and had an individual encounter with sloths and lemurs. Just fantastic! We upgraded to the Ultimate excursion and enjoyed the personal ATV tour through the safari. This allowed us to get out and feed the animals in the fenced areas along the route. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, this was the highlight of our trip to Branson. read more

We interacted with Zach and Blake and both were very friendly and knowledgeable of the animals under they keep. This company has the same name as At Safari park in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, I made the mistake of booking with them as they were the first company that came up with that exact name. I reached out immediately, and I explained the mistake and asked for a refund. My response was they don't do refunds and they are the only company in Missouri with the name Eureka Springs.. I reached back out again and I explained the situation further and I again asked for a refund of $46 and change and now I'm ghosted they refuse to give me my refund. I've now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and even though it's under $50, I'm fully willing to escalate the situation as far as I need to go. I refused to to accept that if they need my money that much that they should just keep it, I work hard for my money as does my husband. This was a simple mistake that I feel could be easily rectified. I will update my review if and when it is. read more

My hubby and I were visiting the area for a few days and decided to give this place a try. We got the basic package which worked well for us. It was quite the value since you still got to see most of the animals that were behind glass. We bought one large cup of food to feed the animals, which was plenty. After we walked through, we drove through to see and feed the bigger animals. The staff was super friendly, the animals were fun, and it was a great time for a great price! Such a fun experience!!! I didn't realize: it was a real zoo as we always had gone at night for Christmas lights. But this year we were during the day and it was so fun!! We were sad after leaving this zoo. Many animals are kept in small, non-stimulating environments. It's upsetting that these precious creatures have no choice but to live the rest of their days incarcerated, some of them with no companions. Although the animals seemed well fed, that is not enough. They need to thrive by having their mental needs met. Many seemed to just be surviving. One little primate enclosure really got to me, as he sat all alone, looking out the window, longing for a better life no doubt. read more

Best zoo I have ever been to in my life!!! My whole family very much enjoyed this zoo. I have been to the St. Louis zoo, Indianapolis zoo, zoos in Florida, and many more and this zoo is by far the best. You can get very close to many different animals and there are many feeding and petting areas. My children were able to feed and pet ponies, goats, llamas, deer, kangaroos, Guinea pigs, rabbits, and many more! For 20$ for adults and 12$ for children you get to do a walking tour with many feeding and petting possibilities and and driving tour with additional feeding and petting possibilities if you would like too. The zoo is also very safe. It would be difficult or impossible for a child to get inside an animal's inclosure unlike some zoos. If your are looking for an even better experience the zoo as more expensive packages that are very cool. As for my family, we stuck with the base ticket and we definitely got our money's worth! read more

My 10 year old daughter and I did the VIP admission today, and it was absolutely spectacular! Our guide was super knowledgeable about all of the animals. We got to pet a prairie dog, two sloths, two armadillos, a bunny, and many guinnea pigs, and we got to hold a Colombian red-tailed boa and a brown lemur as part of the VIP tour. We bought food to feed the parakeets, but they weren't hungry, so we took them back, and the lady in the office held them for us while we did the walking tour and went back afterwards, and the parakeets were hungry then, so we got to feed them. On the walking tour, I fell a few times, once skinning my knee and once twisting my ankle. The paved walkways have sharp drop offs that got me a couple of times when we were trying to feed the animals (which is allowed for certain animals). Overall though, we had a great time, and we thought it was well worth it! read more

Grandson loves any petting zoo so we decided to try this one in Branson. Have drove by for years but 1st time to go. You begin with a walkway around to see smaller animals. Get a stick to feed birds. Be aware hilly and uneven walking. We even walked the long way to see giraffe to later find out the drive through goes up close. So best to not cross over drive to walk the long way! Then you get to do the drive thru part to see larger animals. Best is the reindeer. This place is not really clean. One sink in a building said to wash before and after petting but did not even work. Main bathroom by entrance did not have soap. I mentioned to front worker at ticket stand and felt she didn't care. Ask my grandson and he loved it, he got to pet a rabbit! read more

Definitely worth visiting while in Branson! The price was right and we spent a lot of time here. The drive through portion was great, not rushed at all (we went on a Saturday morning). We did the VIP tour. I highly encourage you to spend the money for this! We were able to meet and hold a few baby animals, do a walk thru of the zoo, a tour with a tour guide and feed animals from a tour bus and drive thru the safari. Also, the entire drive thru part was mostly farm animals such as donkeys, shetland ponies, and alpacas. A few emu and ostrich as well. Not worth the money in my opinion. My 7, 4, and 1 year old loved it. So many animals that they've never seen before nor experienced.

This zoo does not deliver on VIP experience for what you pay for and reply with excuses. My issue was that we paid extra money for the ability to hold animals one on one. The animals we got to hold for the extra money spend was a baby kangaroo and a snake. All the other animals we could only pet a couple times. We also did not get a personal one on one experience, you share the experience with other groups of people, so it's not one on one as they advertise. So while the zoo is fine, don't pay any extra for the special experiences, they are not as advertised and are a waste of your money. I'm aware of the different VIP experiences, and did not get what we paid for. read more

Don't waste your time or money. The drive through portion is brief and underwhelming. The walking portion is equally disappointing. Worst of all was the parakeet house which was spare and sad. I feel guilty that I supported an establishment like this. We are animal lovers and I really wish I would have done more research before we wasted the time and money. We were very hesitant on trying this place out. The bad reviews here and there just made us feel unsure about it. I feel there is a reason people are feeling "cheated". My personal belief is that they bought the wrong package. If you're going to go here I would get the VIP Plus, if you don't have the funds just wait and save up. Seventy-Five a person may seem steep, but once you get done with your visit you'll thank yourself. We showed up at 9 right when they open. They were running a little behind so we didn't get in until about 9:10, not that big of a deal. We bought out tickets and setup the schedule for the day. We started off our day with the 9:30 tram drive thru. It was quite exciting, seeing all the animals up close and hand feeding them. We can back to do our encounters with a group. Getting to see and hold a opossum, a snake, and a baby kangaroo. All while learning facts about these animals. After this we got to do our personal encounter with the lemur. We got around a total of Fifthteen minutes of playing and holding her. It was pretty interesting being in the lemurs environment and interacting with it. Once this was all said and done we went and watched the live show at 11. Which had fun facts and a variety of animals you could pet. Next we hit the parakeet room and walked throughout the walking safari. Before finally leaving we hit the drive thru safari where you use your own car and can see even more animals on the outside. All in all our visit of Branson, this so far was the best. It may have been a little pricey at almost 170 for two people. However arriving at 9 and not leaving until , it was plenty worth it. On our Branson family vacation we decided to squeeze in a trip to the promised land zoo. The animals are all caged in small cages/corrals. Since it's a drive thru zoo we weren't able to see animals quite well. If you plan a trip here don't forget your Binoculars... Lots of fun. We like it so much we bought season passes. You get a free food stick for the parakeets on entry. This is a lot of fun if it isn't super busy. At the same place is where you can buy food to feed many animals this is the most fun for us. It's $1 to refill the cup. It's $3 initially I believe. Warn your kids to keep the cup away from the emus. They snatch them from peoples hands often. The wallabies are my favorite to feed. So gentle. They are like small kangaroos. There is a female lion and a huge tiger in the same cage here. Didn't know they got along. There is a large drive through part that is Christmas lights as well in the winter. Once done in the feeding zoo area you can walk up a long trail to the other part of the zoo where there is a giraffe and some indoor exhibits and more bathrooms. Or you can begin the drive through and park up there. That's what I would do if I had a bunch of small children or difficulty walking. Since we have been going there have been great deals on Groupon as well. Check that out. Update March 4th 2020. Have had the chance to do everything here since my previous review. I love this place even more. The tram ride in a VIP package includes unlimited free food to feed all the animals you encounter! The drive your own vehicle drive thru that's included with every admission is very long and has many great animals like camels and zebras. All the animals are behind fences so your vehicle is safe from damage. The road is well enough maintained even a rear wheel drive sports car will have no issues. The food truck has some great food! I recommend the bison burger! Note this is only open during peak days and hours. The sloth encounter is amazing! They are so fun to feed! Read your brochure you receive on entry thoroughly. It's not big. During our visits in talking to other patrons they often have no idea all the things there are to do and pass things up. For instance the encounter building is available to everyone. It has so many cool animals to view. Definitely check it out! read more

We looked forward to visiting the promised land zoo. I am an animal fanatic. Loving animals so much, we decided to go with the VIP experience in hopes that we would get to have hands on interaction with some neat animals. This was not the case. We got to pet a prairie dog and hold a snake, I was so disappointed. With the VIP experience you also get to ride the tram and feed some animals, this was a decent experience due to the tour guide (he was hilarious). One miserable thing about the tram ride was how hot it was. Due to COVID, everyone was made to wear their mask and it got extremely stuffy in there. IF we ever go back, we will pay less money to drive thru the park on our own. read more

This Zoo is only getting a 1 because I can't give it a 0. We looked up the Zoo on their website. My kids were so excited about the animals coming up to the car. NOPE, we barely saw any animals at all! I have seen more animals on a Farm! The website is VERY misleading. When you go to purchase tickets for basic right below it says: Our 120-acre park, viewed from your own vehicle, allows many of our animals to come right up to your vehicle for a chance to GET CLOSER than you ever have before. LIE! All the animals are in cages. We saw a lot of trash in the enclosures with the animals as well. We have a special needs daughter, she will not be around the animals so we felt this would be perfect for her. I'm usually really patient and polite. I never snap at workers, and very rarely complain because I know what it's like to be on the other side. Maybe it's because I was thinking there was no way we'd be upset, especially since we weren't expecting too much. We went to the drive-through lights with our kids (6, 4, and 2). The website clearly states that included in the regular admission is drive through lights, "then park and visit the Candy Land Courtyard complete with musical trees, new lighting displays, Santa and his Reindeer, and a Live Nativity Petting Zoo - and Hot Chocolate too!" It says nothing about "only on the weekends." The thing is we talked it up to the kids. They were excited to see reindeer and the live nativity. So when we found out--at the very end--that these weren't open during the weekday (even though we had paid full price and it clearly says so on the website) we were a little bummed. But being reasonable, I though "surely they'll let us come back this weekend and just go to that." But before I get to my conversation with the lady at the front there's this: We got LOCKED IN for about 20 minutes. There were about a dozen cars backed up at the exit gate. We just sat there, wondering what we were supposed to do. Finally a few people got out of their cars, went up to the gate, and managed to pry it open. We think the worker at the exit just left. So we went back to the front, and I thought "Usually if you're really polite and show them their own website and politely ask if you can come back that weekend for the thing we paid for, surely they'd want to be accommodating for their customers, especially if they're likely to come back and spend more money--especially since it's such a Christian-based operation." Well, let's just say I was truly shocked at how rude the lady was; that somehow suggesting that we come back to enjoy what we paid for was insulting her at her job of swiping credit cards and saying "go ahead." Then, she straight up lied to me. When I said that we didn't know the main reason we came wasn't even open, she snapped back and said "No. I've told every car it was closed." Except she didn't. My wife, my father-in-law, and I were all listening. Maybe she misheard us, but she surely did not mention--and we're positive--that the attractions at the end were closed. To summarize: We pay for something, it's closed. We get LOCKED IN for 20 minutes. I very politely (not even complaining) ask if we can come back this weekend to go to the Candy Land Courtyard, and I get snapped at and told "you can pay full price this weekend again." Good grief.
