Crystal was the silver lining to the whole experience. She was very attentive to my pup, and my little pup was put at ease in Crystal's capable hands. As long as Crystal is there, we'll be back! Lady bug just adored the attention she received and was so proud she literally was prancing to the car as we left. Thank you Crystal, for making this experience positive. Without your help, I would have left without getting the groom done, due to the determination to get nearly $125 from me to groom my 15lb mini poodle.

Cackle was quick to help me cancel and reorder with the correct breeds. Shipping: The chicks shipped on June 3rd, and delivered to my local USPS in California by the following afternoon- much quicker than I expected, thankfully! What arrived: There was a heat pack in the box, along with some sort of green nutritional chunks. Cackle sent one extra chick for each breed I ordered, which really eased my mind. Chick's condition: All arrived alive!! One looked fatigued upon arrival, yet by day 3 she was healthy and running around with the rest of them. They are 3 weeks old now, and all are still thriving, no casualties. Overall a fantastic experience with Cackle. One small downside was the amount of pasty butt during the first week. While Cackle is not accountable for this, I was not prepared for the amount of pasty butt I'd have to deal with, likely due to the stress and temperature changes these babies experienced during shipping affecting their stool. About three quarters of them got pasty butt, and I spent between 1-2 hours cleaning them off for the first 4/5 days. I suppose this is something to be mindful of if you're planning on ordering chicks online as well. It's manageable, just a bit time consuming for the first few days. Thank you Cackle Hatchery!! We arrived, they had geese in store, I was excited, we paid to have them sexed, bought male and 2 females. Wednesday all 3 geese huddled in corner sleeping alot, male died Wednesday night, 1 female died Thursday. We called, they told us sorry, it is what it is. Some just fail to thrive. I visited the shop with my husband the other day and the employee was getting a cockatiel out to show us, but dropped him 3-4 times in the process. The bird plopped straight down to the ground hard each time. Not even a glide. We've had our cockatiel at home now for the past day and he's doing fine other than his wings. I've been having to physically help him get up onto his perch each time as he isn't able to without any use of his wings. He's calm when we interact with him until he realizes he has no way to fly and begins panicking and crashing straight down. it's really sad to watch and completely unnecessary. Again, we love our bird and the staff seemed nice, but please, do better. Get someone who knows how to trim a birds wings! Or just don't do it at all.
