We love it here! After having a horrible experience at our last place (the people, staff, small sites, bad location etc were horrific), we were very pleasantly surprised with this park. The lots are roomy, the neighbors friendly, the staff is awesome, and the location is perfect for us! Being outdoor enthusiastics, there were several parks in the area, and many amazing BEAUTIFUL SPRINGS to paddle/kayak all within one hour or less from here. Silver Springs is 15 minutes away, and I definitely took advantage of it, paddling every opportunity I could. The staff here is very friendly, which is a breathe of fresh air! The spots are LARGE and very roomy, even with neighbors, it feels pretty open here. We highly recommend this location, and will definitely stop by again as we pass through on our travels! read more

This is a campground, definitely not a Resort. The people behind the front desk always seem annoyed when you call them with questions. Not friendly at all. There seems to be a different set of rules for those who are friends of the staff and those not. The rules on their website and in their handouts clearly state that you cannot park your vehicles on open RV sites - well, if you are friends of the staff you can park on any open site you want. If you're not a friend of the staff you clearly can't park on an open site. CAMPFIRES / FIRE PITS: Open or closed on the ground or portable, are NOT permitted except in the fire pit located next to the Clubhouse. Gas/Propane fires allowed. --- This is clearly not true as there are campers in the back on the surround of the campground who are constantly burning stuff in their firepit. RV SITE APPEARANCE: Our groundskeeping personnel strive to make your stay as enjoyable, pleasant, and worry-free as possible. Please assist them by following these simple and helpful guidelines. --- Clearly there is an old dilapidated RV that looks like it's been manually altered and in very poor shape - solid white where you can clearly see it's been cut, windows inserted, dented, etc. Sight for sore eyes. Yes, people are clearly living here and have a few tents on their site to cover their cars, etc., in addition to their awnings and full blown decks built onto their RVs. The office hours vary, especially on Saturdays. If you're expecting packages, be on the lookout as when the office closes, FEDEX or UPS will just leave the packages outside or in the unlocked clubhouse (if you can call it that). Oh, and they reserve the right to change the prices without any notification - that is horrible. At least give people notification. Your website still has the old pricing! read more

Absolutely loved it at Wild Frontier RV Resort! We were booked at another campground for month of March, not realizing it was far from many things we wanted to see. When we stopped in at Wild Frontier to see if they had availability, Joyce was so helpful and got us in. Everyone was so friendly. We had a lovely campsite. Loved the heated pool. Appreciated not having to cook a few nights as they had meal offerings in the club house for a great price. Interacted with Bob, Kim and Joyce and they were all great!! We hope to be back some year when we are done exploring other areas of our country! read more

From the Gals in the office to the staff that care for the grounds and bathrooms, impeccable. We have taken our little RV all over Florida, and this place is notable. We felt welcomed and cared for, they even reached out and helped us with our baby dog when I had to have a medical procedure done, these folks go way beyond the call of duty! read more

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean and quiet. Secure with very friendly staff. Needed to stay only a few nights and staff were wonderful.

We came to this campground because we had business in the area. It is a nice campground in the fact that it has nice long pads if you are a bigger rig. It is kept nice and ppl are friendly. Although it is NOT in a good area!!!!!!! It is gated but if ppl wanted to get in, they could. More than half the park is full time and there isn't much camping going on. They have one road for nightly campers. Everyone stays inside and it's March (beautiful weather). The pool is very very small. Also if you have children this would not be the park for u. We saw one family with children and they were very limited on activity in the pool due to the older ppl around not wanting them to "splash". No other activities for kids. read more

"The good" Easy access and nice deep paved sites w/slant back in easy for big rigs. Nice clean pool and mostly quite. Great Cell Phone signal with a tower in the field next door. "The not so good" Most of the "guest" (52 out of 115) are full time living there year round. Not so much a long weekend camping crowd if you get my drift. Not really anything to do there or in the area and way to pricey for what is offered. The internet is worst than most, The "cable TV" is Digital but if you don't have a box you get 4 channels analog.The cleaning person had been fired and the maintenance person quite. No tents for shad are allowed due to the lawn person does not want to cut around them... side note.. grass is very tall and in three days did not see any being cut in the park at all. Quiet hours are 9-9 and you will get shushed and possibly asked to leave if you disobey. YMMV. PS. Camping world is NOT next door it's America Choice RV Ocala. read more

The campground is well hidden in a high volume location. Fast food, groceries drug stores and gas close by. The staff is great! Highly responsive, intelligent and caring. I have camped across the country and would put this one in the top 10. Paved treed sites. Rates are excellent and include cable tv, sewer, water and 50 amp electric. There is a pool and lots of activities around the park. It has doubled in size in the last year including many pull thru sites yet staff has kept up with the volume. Internet is slow at times but expect they will improve soon. Pets are welcome. Not much to criticize. Say hello to Pat and Tim and their pup Riley they are a blessing in a competitive world. Full time sites are available and are grabbed quickly. Good Sam cards accepted. Have a great camping experience in the Wild Frontier. read more

Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Grounds are well groomed with good streets and asphalt RV pads. Full hookups with good water pressure and available cable. Located with easy access to local amenities and gated code park. Would recommend for short or long stay! read more

Staying here for two months December/January. Pleasant, helpful staff. Very clean and well maintained. Large sites with full hookups. Lots of big rigs fit easily. Activities while following COVID 19 guidelines. Clean bathroom/shower and laundry. read more

We love this campground! Not only is it one of the cleanest but the people who run it are knowledgeable and friendly. It is a smaller campground but this is one of the reasons we like it. Affordable and well kept, there is an RV sale/repair company on one side and our site is located right across from it and we have nothing to complain about. read more

Small campground next rv dealership American choice. Need work on your camper I recommend them. Took real good care of me. Above and beyond. Campground is small but nice. Really inexpensive as electric, cable, WiFi are included. Not the most beautiful park but nice enough. People are friendly. Lots to see and do in the area. Will be returning. read more

The owners have done a nice job trying to fix up the facility. However, they are the rudest people I have ever met. They pull things out of their ass to yell at you for. (Without enforcing the same rules on others) They're also very prejudiced towards younger people staying in the park for a long amount of time. We could only stay a month and I had to leave. It was one thing after another. Someone's car was stolen from the campground, and they never notified anyone. (This is a gated park, plenty of people around.) someone's window was smashed and hot wired with no one noticing... ? read more

I absolutely loved my stay here! From the front, it looks like it will be a fun place to stay. And in fact, it is! They have wonderful amenities including a huge TV and cable in the meeting room, there is a very nice pool that is there when you are hot from the Florida sun, and there are wonderful staff working there. Their WiFi is fast, and easy to connect to. They definitely beat any KOA Kampground! read more

Small old Parp The space we had was all dirt and somewhat small. It is a PP park and for a coupl;e of days OK.

This campground barely deserves 1 star. While it may look nice, and is full of nice campers, looks are deceiving. This campground is parked right behind the America Choice RV Dealership. 85% of the campers parked in the spots are dealer units and they are moving them in and out of spots all day long. We arrived on a Sunday when the dealer was closed, so we were unaware of how much dealer traffic there was all day 6 days a week. It is not kid friendly at all. I have 2 kids and was told to be with them at all times when they are outside due the dealer zipping around here with units. They of course told me this AFTER I had already paid for a month. It is not safe for kids at all. Not to mention this park is also located in the hood and has lots of homeless people in the area so they have to lock the showers and such at night to keep the homeless people out. The sites are too small for 2 vehicles, so they said we could park our big truck behind the gate where the employees park. Our truck sat there for a month, never moved and last night we found a big dented scratch along our truck. Of course they won't accept responsibility for one of their employees hitting our truck. I am not happy at all with this campground. I wouldn't even call it a campground, I would call it a parking lot. You have to have your own fire pit if you want to have a fire as they don't allow fires on the ground. Don't waste your money here, find a better campground. read more
