Great experience especially if you have little ones or love animals or just want to do something different. From feeding the animals to the safari bus ride this is educational and fun. Stopped off and totally enjoyed myself

Great place for kids and adults! I come often and the grandkids live it. They continue to add to their attractions.

It's a cute small place. Our favorite was the tour which they opened up for a party of 11 on a weekday.

Immediately the people who were there came out and stared at us like we were not supposed to be there. They asked why we were there and I said we were there for the petting zoo. I made sure to check before hand and it said they were opened. Despite this, the people who were there said the owners were out of town and the zoo was closed. They were not friendly and the whole interaction was very uncomfortable.

At first I thought the poor animal was sick until I learned kangaroos are nocturnal. It is incredibly cruel to display an animal in noisy environment when it's internal clock is ready to rest. I recognize the major sacrifice farms such as this one make to care for animals especially ones in need, but could you please please please reconsider using a nocturnal animal for daytime festivities? Aside from it being disturbing to watch the animal suffer, it was hard to explain to my children why a company who takes care of animals were allowing this nocturnal animal to be in such a gruesome environment.

I'd like to start by saying I'm not a complainer. I understand stuff happens…read more But today we drove 40 minutes to get to Madrac Farms. The gravel road into it was blocked off, and instead there was a dirt road full of humongous potholes, filled with woodchips! I've never driven slower in my life....what the heck? There was a long line to get down this road....then when we get to the parking lot, after 10 minute down the drive, the parking lot is full. Probably 100 cars driving slowly around the parking area, hoping someone will miraculously leave, and hoping you're in the right place at the right time. There were no employees in the parking lot directing anyone. So rather than a corn-maze, we spent literally 30 minutes in a parking-lot-maze, trying to get the heck out of there. I understand people probably swarmed the place, due to the covid lockdown we live in. But we promised our two-year-old pumpkins and goats. Instead she got 2 hours in her car seat, and a trip to Walmart to get a pumpkin and a toy, for being so well-behaved during this waste of time. If the owners read this, I would advise the following: 1) get a proper road (gravel is great, not potholes and woodchips) 2) build a larger parking area 3) have some employees out there directing traffic 4) if you're over-capacity, turn people away at the main road!! I wish the owners success in their venture. Business owner myself. But I guarantee, we will not be back.

This particular day I was glad that I did. I went out there unsure of what I was going to see, but I did have a preconceived idea that it would be some big store on a farm. My idea was the furthest thing from the truth. To be quite honest, I thought my GPS was wrong, because all that we saw was some older run down buildings and a bunch of random cars parked nearby. Let me tell you how glad I am that we proceeded and walked inside. Now when I say that MooMa's (the actual store) is small, it truly is. They have a great selection of local food items like honey, jams, pasta noodles, milk, etc. The one thing that threw me though was the two smaller "ice cream freezers" that had frozen beef and pork. I prefer fresh meat over frozen any day, but I was willing to give it a shot. I loaded up on burgers, brats, and Italian sausage, but I did ask about fresh meat. They told me that they dry age all their beef, so if you let them know ahead of time before you go, they will cut it and have it ready for you when you arrive. Talk about customer service! That right there made this a five star establishment. I'll say this too, we cooked the frozen burgers and they were amazing. Not one of us could tell that they were frozen, which again backs my five stars. I'm not quite sure who the gentleman that came out of the office was, or the lady that he was with, but those two and the older gal working the store were the best. I'll drive here any day to buy my meat before going to a chain grocery store. Thank you Hunter Cattle!

Out of six or seven available varieties, we chose the Farmhouse Garlic - partially on the recommendation of the very helpful Hunter representative, but mostly cos both I and Mrs I love garlic :) The jerky is absolutely fantastic. It's tender, comes across as moist even though it has obviously been dried, and the garlic is such a fresh note that you really get to appreciate the heat that garlic can possess. I don't want to call it spicy - it's not like a jalapeño or anything like that - but it's a crisp, fresh heat like you get from a good peppercorn. I highly recommend it, and I'll be sure to give their other products a whirl as well.

The "pets " looked sad, all the animal live in strange living conditions. I can't believe they have a tiger, it looked so sad, last time I was there it was living In a cage the size of a crate. these guys shouldn't have animals at all this is no sanctuary, it's jail. There was no way to actually pet them because the animals seemed like they were starving, and were climbing on one another to get to the three-year-old (The expiration date had 2010) Goldfish they sold us for $8 (this was sold with three packs of Ritz Crackerfuls and some homemade "cookies" as their "Premier Feeding Package"). There was no other food in sight, and as part of the animal tour, the guide (a roughly fifteen-year-old boy, a volunteer) said to us "I'm surprised you're brave enough to feed them. Everyone is too scared. Thank god you bought some food because they haven't eaten all day since no one else has bought any." Really? They also had an exhibit that housed animals native to Georgia. This consisted of a 20' x 3' x 3' steel enclosure housing a gray fox, and one about twice that size for two raccoons (one was amelanstic, or albino, which was pretty cool to see). Tourists could feed these animals by dropping food into a PVC pipe rigged to deliver it straight to their cages. However, the food fell straight through the cage to the ground out of reach for the animals. The guide joked that there was more on the ground than the animals actually received, but it was painfully true. Somehow, the godawful owners of Graystone Ranch pulled some strings and got two tigers. Not only was the cage so small that the tiger cannot even jog but he was terrified. This tiger was so extremely stressed out by the dozen people in our animal tour group that it was letting out a ferocious roar the likes of which I'd never before heard and hope to never hear again. He backed himself into his corner as far back as he could squeeze and roared and scratched at us. This isn't because we were teasing him. As soon as he knew people were around he freaked out. This tiger was in a movie so he SHOULD be somewhat tame. The teenage boy then showed us the small alligator they had. The alligator was in a plastic tub that was 2ft x 3ft filled with muddy water. The rest of his cage was just dirt. His entire body did not fit in the tub and while the teenager poked him to get him to hiss he joked about how this animal hated him and his friend because they always poke him and mess with him. The part of our tour that hit my most sensitive part was the reptile room. As a breeder and collector of tarantulas and other reptiles I can confidently say that I am an expert in how they should be kept. In this they had about five or six juenile G rosea, some corn snakes, a legless lizard, some other lizards I couldn't identify, and a salamander. They tank behind us had an extremely large ball python. None of these tanks had any sort of heat lamps (they claimed to have a heater, but when we drove by to leave that night the door was open and it was about 55-60F). Next to the python, in a five-gallon tank, was a Theraphosa stirmi, roughly 7". I stared in disbelief. It was kept on aquarium rocks with no water dish and an open screen top. This was the moment when I started reconsidering the integrity of their animal husbandry. The guide poked him from behind with a stick to get him to move. The animal tour was only about twenty minutes of our time there. The entire place was a dump and I promise you if they got a surprise visit from the state they would be shut down in a heartbeat. They advertise that they have a "pumpkin patch" also. They have circle ten feet in diameter with pumpkins that they bought from the grocery store that are priced double. It was beyond pathetic. We went on their "guided boat tour" and our guide literally read verbatim off a piece of paper until he got to a word that he couldn't pronounce. No joke. He said "I can't pronounce that word" and we all just sat there while we rode from one end of the lake to the other. (Which is about half a mile long). The property is a trailer park with some tiny cages mixed in. I originally bought a $25 Groupon for the guided tour but we could not make it out before it expired. I was going to use the amount I paid as admission to walk around the park but they would only let me use that $25 in the "gift shop". The gift shop was a bunch of disgusting items that were bought from Goodwill a decade ago. Absolutely everything was covered in dust, half of the items were literally broken, and the other half of the items were so dirty that they had obviously been owned by someone before. It took us over an hour to find $25 worth of pointless items to take home. After we got home we read reviews on Graystone Ranch and it is pretty unanimous that it is a horrible place. They delete all negative reviews on their Facebook pages to make it seem like a good place. Like I said before, it is advertised as a "Rescue Facility" but it is equivalent of an animal hospice because all of those animals will die before they should.
