WOW! What a trip! Headed to the cliffs of Moher with Josh and Pete as our drive and guide and what incredible people they are! They made the 3 hour bus ride feel like 10 minutes. The conversation, historical knowledge, and spirit of Josh and Pete made this trip. HIGHLY recommend this group and would consider doing another trip through them when I come back!

Stephen, our driver, and Dave, our guide, were both absolutely amazing. Very insightful and delightful, from sun up to sun down! The cliffs are stunning and I told my husband I feel like we should've paid more for the tour because it was so amazing! I cannot recommend this enough! 12/10 A few tips: a rain jacket is essential, as well as some motion sickness medicine as the roads can be a little windy into Galway.

We booked a day tour to the Cliffs of Moher/Galway and like it so much we booked a tour to Kilkenny/Glendalough at the end of our trip to The Cliffs of Moher. If you book 2 tours with Wild Rover Tours, you get 10% off your second tour if booked together. I believe you get a large discount if you book 3 tours at the same time with them. We got 10% off this tour as we had just completed a tour to The Cliffs of Moher/Galway Kevin was our tour guide and Stipe was our driver for our tour to The Cliffs of Moher/Galway. Kevin was quite entertaining and provided great insight to the history of The Cliffs of Moher and the city of Galway. He was very good at trying to meet and talk to every family on the bus. He gave a nice 20-30 minute walking tour/history of Galway. He had good recommendations of places to eat in Galway as well as when we came back to Dublin. The Cliffs of Moher was very pretty and the visitor's center was large with interactive displays and big gift shop. There is also a cafe at the visitor's center and more shops outside of the visitor's center. The City of Galway is a harbor city where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. Galway's city center is surrounded by shops and traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music. Nearby, stone-clad cafes, boutiques and art galleries line the winding lanes of the Latin Quarter. Ian was our tour guide and Dermont was our driver for our tour to Kilkenny/Glendalough. Both were great! Ian had great historical knowledge of the area were went to (Kilkenny, Glendalough and Cullen Sheep Farm). At Kilkenny and Glendalough, Ian our guide provided a brief 20-30 minute walking tour (optional) to give use some history of areas. Glendalough is very picturesque where you can get some beautiful pictures of the countryside and there is also a Christian cemetery with old ruins of the monastery, priest's house, St. Kevin's Church and the Round Tower. The sheep farm was a nice addition where you get to see a sheep herding demonstration, pet sheep and if you are there at the right time, hold a baby lamb. Both tours by Wild Rover Tours were excellent if you are looking for single day tours out of Dublin.

Elisa was a fun and energetic guide! Brought a bright smile throughout our trip to Wicklow and Kilkenny, and provided several recommendations for our time in Dublin as well. And Pete, on top of being a talented driver had a great bit of banter and recommendations for weary tourists hoping to enjoy some local pubs/bites off the beaten path. Not to mention, they navigated us safely through mild flooding on a rainy day with minimal interruption! Everything went smoothly, and they were able to pivot on a dime to shift itinerary so that we could enjoy the mountains and city without getting too wet. P.S. I was skeptical about the sheep dog trials, but they ended up being one of the highlights of my trip! Adorable!

The BEST experience we had in Dublin! I booked the Cliffs of Mohr/Wild Atlantic Way/Galway tour and boy, did we have a good time!! Mahalo to the best crew in the business - Steve-o (driver), Dave (Guide) and Dolly (bus mascot)! Oh, the laughs we had all day long! So informative, so personable, and extremely FUN! At the beginning of the tour, Dave clearly explained what the day would look like for us. He provided strict instruction on keeping with the schedule, cleanliness, and respecting one another. We all appreciated the organization and clarity! For each stop, he provided clear instruction on entry, on and off times, the history of each stop, and what to keep an eye out for while touring. The cliffs were amazing! Wild Atlantic Way drive was gorgeous. He pointed out fairy trees, fairy horses, so many features and stories unique to Ireland along the way. In Galway, he told us where to eat, what foods to try, where to find specific items like Aran wool and the Irish harmonica. So we'll put together. He even had a matching music playlist! Steve-o was awesome. He knew where every person in the bus was from and waddress them by their hometowns. It was epic! We had front row seats and loved watching this guy in action. So animated! He'd do this "snap to the air" every time we'd go through a toll booth. Hilarious! It really goes to show how a GREAT tour guide and driver can make or break your experience and we really lucked out! Luck of the Irish, they say! Mahalo Wild Rover Tours for having the best team in the industry - Dave, Steve and Dolly for the best experience in Ireland !!

Enjoyed Rory and Raymond as our guide and driver. We nice, friendly and knowledgeable people. Cool to see Dunluce Castle. We loved hiking the red trail at the Giants Causeway. The walking tour of downtown/ city hall area of Belfast was just enough orientation for us and our trip to Belfast afterwards. The timing was great except I would have liked a little more time in Bushmill. But a huge thank you for dropping us off and letting us end our tour in Belfast instead of having to return to Dublin.

We had a wonderful time exploring Northern Ireland with Dahi and Billy! Dahi took such great care of us, was very informative, and very entertaining! If you only have a few days in Ireland, and you want to see all the amazing things up North- then this is the tour for you! We left Dublin early in the morning, and headed up North. It wasn't a far drive to Belfast, and it was interesting to cross the border. We did the Black Cab Tour where we learned about oppression between the Protestants and Catholics, and how they're segregated by a wall each evening. We couldn't really understand our driver, but he did his best. We got dropped off to Titanic to meet the rest of the group, then headed to Dunluce Castle, and Giants Causeway. Both were beautiful spots. We ate at the Nook and had delicious Irish food, then headed back to Dublin. All in all, money and time well spent! Happy Journeys read more

I booked with this tour group to Galway with two other Gf's. While on theis trip Neive mentioned that they offer a discount if you book with them again, for the other tours that they offer. I also went to Belfast the next day with the tour group. My forst trip we had Neive as out tour guide. She was very knowledgeable. On my second tour I had Kevin (Tour guide) & Marcin (the driver). They were all great! I highly recommend this tour group. They are reasonably priced. They run a tight ship with time & it starts from early moring until about 7:30pm depending on the type of tour you choose. read more

A wonderful day trip to visit Belfast, Dunluce Castle & Giant's Causeway. Dave's energy and enthusiasm made the trip extra fun and I appreciate how timely and organized everything was. We had enough time to truly enjoy all of the sights and the didn't feel rushed at all. I love that the playlist had special meanings and connected well to the tour as well. Shoutout to Billy for the safe and smooth driving. Finally, big extra love to Dave for being so kind and having the entire bus celebrate my birthday and play a special birthday song for me. What a brilliant day! Our respective guide and driver, Maurice and Morris, deftly navigated a rich, informative, and action-packed day in Belfast, Dunluce Castle, and Giants Causeway. The sights were stunning and Maurice added some lively color and welcome irreverence, as well as some beautiful irish poetry and prose. The tour ran like clockwork, perfectly calibrated so we never felt rushed-just well taken care of. Shouts to our black taxi tour guide and driver, Kevin, whose commentary during the Belfast portion of the trip brought to life a history I've only read about and seen in movies and on tv. Went with 13 friends on a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway driven by Paulo and led by Niamh. We had a wonderful time! It was great being able to see the rural, true country of Ireland on the drive and learn about the history. I wish we had more time in Galway, but it's a good reason to come back. We were wary of an all day bus trip (it's not really our preferred kind of tourism) but we were so glad we decided to do this. Naimh, our guide, was entertaining, super knowledgeable, funny, and maintained a fun and positive attitude throughout the entire long day to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway and back to Dublin! And our bus driver, Aran, handled the narrow roads with total ease and a smile! We are happy we chose this tour company and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun day trip from Dublin to the west coast. For the tour company, I would suggest a shorter stop at the cliffs and add some time to the Galway stop as we didn't get to spend nearly enough time there and it's quite cute and charming with lots of great shops. If I were to go again I would skip the sit down lunch and grab something quick to eat in order to enjoy more time at the shops. Steve was a great tour guide. Funny and witty. I felt I was in complete good hands with Colin as our driver.The Cliffs of Moher were breathtaking. Galway is a place I want to explore more. Wish we had more time in Galway. Everything was very organized. My only concern were the chartered buses. No bathroom, no where to place your drink, leg width very tight, no seat back pocket to stay organized. read more

My group had the best time doing the Cliffs of Moher/Galway tour today with Aaron and Stephen! We took the tour from Dublin to Belfast and Giants Causeway. The black cab tour in Belfast was absolutely incredible. Personalized tour with people who lived through and participated in the "troubles". Our minds were blown to say the least. Steven O'Malley was extremely insightful and heartfelt. We had an absolutely AMAZING time with Steve (our smooth-driving legend) and Matt (the history guru)! Matt brought Ireland's past to life with stories, facts, and charm that kept us totally hooked. He's like your favorite history teacher crossed with a stand-up comedian! And Steve? That man drives a bus like it's a luxury limo--so professional, so chill, and totally in control. On September 3, 2025 I had the incredibly good fortune to have been on a day-long Wild Rover tour to The Titanic Museum and the Causeway Coast. What made the day so memorable was our amazing tour guide, Daithi Kelly and incredible driver, Marcin. Mr. Kelly is a gifted, storyteller and raconteur. His anecdotes ranged from laugh-out-loud funny to moving and poignant. The time, which included hours of traveling between sites, sped by and was NEVER boring. Mr. Kelly ended the tour with reviews of local bars and restaurants showing an insider's knowledge which made his recommendations all the more meaningful. I just wish my stay had been longer so I could have checked out some of the venues he mentioned. Five stars to Daithi Kelly and Marcin. read more

DONT DO THIS TOUR WITH THIS COMPANY, ESPECIALLY WITH JOHN We were sold the tour as being related to the movie "P.S. I Love You," but at no point did we stop at the location from the movie (on the bridge). The guide is very rude, doesn't know how to explain things, takes a LOT of time, wastes time, and doesn't stay quiet even on the way back. Furthermore, he gets stressed by side conversations and doesn't even know who the people are, and yet he still scolds them. read more

We rarely do organized large tours ... very small groups but not charter bus sized. This tour was fabulous! Patrick & Sarah(so?) we're such fun hosts! We had rain tre entire way up... we selected the Belfast Black Taxi tour versus Titanic. Our driver was actually a political prisoner 2x! And while yiu may not agree with what he did or all his beliefs he truly added a perspective that one would never have without being in the Troubles! Commentary throughout the coach tour was funny, literature & music focused. We were always been shared information about the area we were driving thru and where to look. Once we got to the coast the rain stopped & sun shined!!! Peter took pictures of anyone on the tour at tge Dulce castle that you have an entire 30 minutes at versus other tours 5 min photo stop. It is much bigger & impressive from inside! Then the giant Causeway- wow just wow ! Note you a little less than 3/4 mile walk down to it ( there is a small bus with a big que) then you have to come back up. Great lunch options & beverages at the Nook ( separate review) Again Sarah & Patrick were always willing to answer questions- clear on where to go and very prompt in making sure we all knew when to be back. With the weather and timely return to the coach we even drove some of the coast and stopped for breathtaking photos as a bonus. Which of course Patrick offered to be a photographer! Highly highly recommend. Bathroom stop on the way back as well while the bus fueled. read more

For centuries, it was the headquarters of English (and eventually British) rule in Ireland. In 1684, a large fire destroyed a large portion of the castle. Instead of matching the original Gothic style, most of it was rebuilt using a Georgian style, similar to what you'd find in the French Palace of Versailles! It's quite the contrast. When you visit Dublin Castle, you can choose to explore it in two ways: with a self-guided tour to the state apartments or with a scheduled guided tour that visits the Viking Excavation, the Chapel Royal, and the State Apartments. When you first enter the courtyard, you'll immediately see the newer Georgian architecture in the neat red brick buildings surrounding the square. From the 13th century to the early 20th century, the castle was under British control. It served from being a royal palace and parliament to a prison. Dublin Castle was eventually handed over to General Michael Collins on the 16th of January in 1922. Collins was a soldier and a politician who lead the Irish people through their fight for Independence Dublin Castle plays a huge role in Ireland's history and a walk around the grounds is time well spent. I believe we were allotted 1.5-2 hours at the Cliffs which we enjoyed every minute of. The stop in Doolin for lunch was charming and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to serve us. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience Galway on our tour due to the technical difficulties but I appreciate them being mindful of the schedule. I want to give particular praise to our driver and guide Kevin, who was absolutely fantastic in not only getting us there and back safely but is full of fascinating information on Ireland's history. He sang a song or 2 along the way but he couldn't answer any of the questions asked and barely spoke. He dropped us at stops going in blindly. He was an older gentleman, so I understand the low energy but perhaps time to hang up his hat. As first timers to Ireland, I chose the Dark Hedges/Giants Causeway/Belfast tour because I was infatuated by photos of the Dark Hedges I saw online. I had no idea it looked NOTHING like it. It was really a waste of a stop. Giants Causeway was nice.. great photo op. It's a long walk downhill, then back up. Luckily, there was a bus that operates both ways for £1 (tap cards accepted ). We heard there was opihi in Belfast and found some along the way (we're from Hawaii). Super windy that day so we were getting flown all over the rocks. Only stop on the tour that was worth it. Next stop, Belfast City Centre. The tour guy dropped us off near City Hall with absolutely no direction. He told us about a mall nearby, but that's it. Anything worth seeing was already closed. I really wished he would've gave us more recommendations about what to do, where to eat, or anything worth seeing in the short amount of time we had there. After walking around City Hall, we walked to the mall to use the bathroom, stopped at a souvenir shop, then headed back. Total waste of time, again. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! Sadiy, I purchased the tickets for this tour after the price had gone up about €10 from their 2025 prices. Tour was also supposed to end at 8pm but we got back by 7pm because he kept rushing us. Leaving early from stops. Felt rushed the whole time. I feel it was a total waste of money that could've been used elsewhere.

John was very knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and told us many stories along our journey through Ireland. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but he was a hilarious story teller and we could tell he loves what he does. There is nothing better than having someone who is excited to share their love of history with people. He even took amazing photos of us whenever we wanted him to. If you are going on a tour, you HAVE to get John Todd! We had such a beautiful day at the Bunratty Castle. He made sure we were the first tour group at the castle so it was empty when we got there! We had plenty of time to explore, take photos, and learn about the history. Even better, it was a crystal clear day at the Cliffs of Moher! We got extremely lucky. It was truly a sight to see (you can't miss it if you come to Ireland). At the end of our tour, the trains were canceled due to problems on the railway. Our group was anxious about getting home, but John took care of us! He made sure we would be on a bus leaving at the same time as our schedule train to go back. It was an adventure through and through. John made sure we were safe getting home, walking my boyfriend and I to our Uber. Overall, he made our experience wonderful and fun. There is nothing first class about these tours. They are standard day trip coach tours from various…read morelocations, to which you arrive after an hour or two or more in ordinary seats in ordinary carriages in an ordinary train. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE FIRST CLASS PLUS appendages, even though you are certainly paying first class prices. If you are British, leave aside any idea of using this company now. We were subjected to several days of biased historical interpretations of Ireland's history in which the English (all of them seemingly) were the monsters- to put it politely. It seems we were worse than than the Israelis against the Palestinians, and we were like that everywhere we went. Thank you tour guide Brian for this welcoming first day speel, delivered with venom even though you knew you had two English guests in your company's overpriced tour. On the extended tours you are bussed to hub locations where day-trippers join you for that particular day, and more or less the same speel comes out the newcomers, even though the venom was later reduced when confronted and there was a sort of apology at the end of day three. Particular attention was drawn to the need to have cash available for gratuities! The country is lovely. The vast majority of the people are lovely and welcoming. We did the 7 day tour Deluxe Plus. It wasn't. It was an expensive way of being mostly bussed around in standard tourist coaches. There was I hope no charge for the nationalistic insults by the tour guide.

We are only here on vacation for four full days and had things to do every minute. When we go to get on the bus we are told we aren't on "the list" and had to wait. I produced the receipts that I am attaching to this review and was allowed admittance. Right before the tour is about to start we are told we have to get off the bus because again we aren't on the list. We argue that we bought the tickets in August and the tour company did not dispute that. But we didn't make it in to their spreadsheet somehow and they oversold the bus which became our problem. We have planned every minute of our short trip for months and they totally ruined it for no good reason other than they are shitty record keepers. *Then* they say they'll issue a refund in a few days. Wait a minute though I thought I wasn't on their list?! How can the issue a refund if I'm not in the list? I told them I'm not leaving till I'm given cash because I'm either in the list or not. They tried offering us a few other free tours but no way do I trust this company with my money or time again. We were so looking forward to a Halloween themed adventure on my short Dublin trip and they completely ruined it for us and didn't care. They kept saying "it's not our fault." Well it's certainly not my fault. Please don't trust this dishonest and scammy company with your money or time.

I realized that in Dublin, history isn't something you go places to see; you're swimming in it, everywhere you look. Our fearless leaders were brilliant -- gave power and poise and poignancy to the scenes they enacted (some of which were hysterically funny), and still managed to socialize with the group, and even engage us in a historical quiz at the end with prizes! (Seriously obscure questions, with interesting answers, too.) Plus, all the wonderful pubs, with the history that unfolded there... Pacing was great. We had supper at the Duke, which does a mean Irish stew, then broke up our walk with tipples at the various featured establishments, ending at possibly my favorite pub, Davy Byrne's. Glorious Art Deco, featured prominently in Ulysses, and showcasing an original first printing of the book itself!

We had a conference in town and planned a private group pub tour as a fun thing for some of our…read moreconference attendees. Working together with the group in the months before was easy and the tour guys were very accommodating. This was a terrific way to spend a first night in Dublin. We all loved the short acts and history lessons. Highly recommended. As an added bonus, one of the actors was playing after the tour at Temple Bar so a group went there to watch. Epic night!

Dear John G. (owner) Are your cameras not working? You have said: "this is not something we have ever encountered with any of our drivers" To which I respond: "How would you know?" A DANGEROUS TRIP ON A BUS IN IRELAND My experience: I want to say 'everything was GREAT!' but I cannot and in good conscience. In fact, I need to write and post this review. WHY? Safety. Life and Death issues. The behavior of the driver and the guide was terrible as related to safety. And, to my surprise, this mal-behavior happened what seems to be about one month after a court decision was handed down related to another bus driver using his cell phone while driving, and the resulting accident. With these two, I made a list of what I saw when I was out on a WildRover day tour. Not sure if they are employees or contract workers. It makes zero difference to me but either way there must be an owner who cares. 1. The Guide engaged the Driver in very interesting conversation! And, now, instead of doing it all verbally the conversations went on and on and involved eye-contact. Think of it: You're going 100 kilometers per hour and these two are looking at each other for seconds too many. Enough to scare the shit out of you. From what I know I alone was paying attention. Great Conversation. Dangerously executed. 2. Wiping the inside of the window. We all know that at times a dry piece of paper is needed to clear the inside of a windscreen. Right? Newspaper will do the trick. And sometimes you don't actually know you need it until you need. Oil.... whatever it is, that dry paper can help. Again: At what speed? Why not pull over and wipe away? 3. Removing one's jacket. Putting on one's jacket: Buy a vest or something clever. DO NOT REMOVE AND PUT ON YOUR JACKET AT 100KH! 4. SEAT BELT! Wear it when the bus is moving. 5. Get the windscreen wipers repaired so as to be LEGAL! Close your eyes and listen to the wipers.... and you will easliy agree, something is not right. 6. Do not use your cell phone for calls or texting while driving, especially 'at speed'. I saw all of what I have described and I have properly recorded most of it as well. ________________________________________________________________________________ So, we wonder.... WHO were the Guide and the Driver? ________________________________________________________________________________ Let's see if the management of this company can figure it out. Perhaps this sort of a conversation can happen at a company meeting. Ask the employees which pair it is. Begin training everyone properly. Men, women and children can be killed if you don't get your workers trained up and acting within the law. Do your cameras function? What are they for? I see at least two cameras over the cab interior. If the cameras are NOT working WHAT is their purpose? If the cameras ARE working, pull up some video and look for the violations I've described and then you will not need to ask me for my 'booking number'. Instead, you can choose to move forward to fix the problem. Note: Violations, such as these, need to be reported to the proper authorities as soon as possible. No more wild rides. read more

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on the Wild Rover Tour of Galway and the Cliffs of Moher with Maurice and Sarah. Today we traveled with Wild Rover Tours on their Belfast, Dunluce Castle, and Giant's Causeway tour, and it was easily the highlight of our trip so far. From the moment we boarded the bus, we knew we were in for a great day. Our guide, Dave, was exceptional. He set clear expectations for the day, shared fascinating information throughout the journey, and somehow managed to answer all of our questions before we even had to ask them. His knowledge, humor, and enthusiasm made the experience both educational and incredibly enjoyable. Our driver, Lisa, was fantastic as well. She navigated the route with ease, had a wonderful sense of humor, and together she and Dave kept the day running smoothly while creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone on board. Giants causeway Belfast and Dunluce Castle. Tour guide was Una and driver was Billy. This was a Great tour! I have been to Cliffs of Moher independently (no tour) and as beautiful as the cliffs are, I enjoyed Giants Causeway and the Castle much more. Much less hassle, no lines anywhere during the tour, except for the ladies restrooms, and the views at both locations are spectacular. There really isn't anywhere you can look and not see something beautiful or even breathtaking. I opted for the Black Cab instead of the Titanic. seeing Belfast and hearing about the Troubles from locals and the current situation today was a real eye-opener. they welcome questions. very friendly. The itinerary was spot on. Una was on top of things and connected individually with each traveler. Unfortunately, she had to manage a large and difficult group of students who couldn't seem to get their heads in the right space and didn't respect the custom of being quiet during the guide's announcements, among other disappointing behaviors. Una handled it fantastically and kept us all safe and on time. also, while Billy drove the bus, Una held trivia with the passengers and made the travel time enjoyable. I have been meaning to share a review for this company as I was in Dublin last month. If you are considering to visit the Cliffs of Moher, I can't recommend this tour enough. Matthew was our tour guide. Not only was he absolutely charming and knowledgeable, he may very well be the most stylish gent we met during our stay. He gave a nuanced history of Ireland, played a mash of incredible hits by Irish musicians, and often walked up and down the isle of the bus to ensure that everyone was doing okay. His instructions were clear and humorous. Although I cannot remember the name of our driver, they did a heck of a job getting us to and back in record time, even avoiding some terrible drivers. The trip itself is worth the visit if you are going to Ireland. The Cliffs are iconic. Galway is a lovely town to sightsee briefly, which you visit as well. The ride is comfortable because our bus was well airconditioned and had Wi-Fi, a luxury many of the other tours I experienced did not have. My advice is to book a couple tours with them to get a discount and to book in advance. My friends and I had booked one tour with Paddywagon and one tour with Wild Rover, but I much prefered our tour with Wild Rover. read more

Getting there is half the fun... No doubt the Cliffs of Moher and Galway need to be experienced. But you'll spend quite a bit of time on the bus. We were in great hands with Murphy our tour guide and James our driver. The Irish have a great sense of humor and these guys were no exception. The tour narration was laced with facts, live singing of Irish folk songs (the singing was only a 7 out of 10 but their spirit was a 10!), and some brief lessons in Gaelic. The tour was kept on schedule and everyone was accounted for before moving to the next stop. (I'm a mom, I notice things like that especially when there are some students traveling.) Along the way you'll see castle remnants, iconic scenery of green green grass, stone walls, thatched roof houses, sheep and cows grazing. The shoreline along the Wild Atlantic Way - breathtakingly beautiful. Craggy rocks and white-capped water crashing into the shore. Soak it all in. At the end of the day our guides provided some recommendations for food and live Irish music back in Dublin which were written on a white board so we just snapped a pic of the list as we exited the bus. I had the most amazing day on the tour to Belfast and the Giant's Causeway! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and I can't speak highly enough about our fantastic guide Aaron and our driver Michael. Aaron's knowledge was impressive, and he made the entire journey so enjoyable with his stories, insights, and fun facts about the history of Belfast, the Causeway, and the surrounding areas. It felt like we were in the company of a local expert who truly loved sharing the rich culture and history of Northern Ireland. Michael, our driver, was also exceptional. He navigated some pretty winding and narrow roads with ease, making the ride feel comfortable and safe. Plus, he was always friendly and willing to answer any questions. The sights were absolutely breathtaking, especially the Giant's Causeway -- nature at its finest. We had plenty of time to explore, take photos, and fully appreciate the stunning landscape. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience the best of Northern Ireland with two wonderful people leading the way. We had an absolutely fantastic day visiting the Cliffs of Moher and Galway--easily one of the highlights of our Ireland trip. The weather couldn't have been better, with sunshine and just a touch of clouds, making the views even more stunning. A big shoutout to our guide Josh and driver Sarah for making the experience truly memorable. Josh was engaging, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor--sharing fascinating stories about the region, from historic castles and charming thatched cottages to centuries-old churches along the way. Sarah handled the narrow, winding roads with complete ease, so we could just sit back, relax, and soak in the beautiful Irish countryside. Yes, it's a long day, but it's absolutely worth it. The time at the Cliffs of Moher was perfect to take in the breathtaking scenery, and Galway was a lovely stop for a relaxed lunch and a bit of exploring. The entire trip was smooth, well-organized, and thoughtfully paced with convenient stops. This tour was my first and I will like to do more! The cliffs of Moher were shrouded in clouds until just before we left so it was a brilliant moment of the parting of the fog. There is a "shuttle" like golf car to take people with mobility restrictions to the top so that everyone can enjoy the view of the cliffs when they do appear. If it is unclear weather the Visitor Centre has a café, hot food, toilets and an interesting exhibition about the cliffs until the sky becomes clearer. Stephen, our guide, was a treasure - every view out of the window inspired a new story or history. He is knowledgeable about Ireland's different cultures throughout history so you will learn a lot and laugh. His tips for Galway were very helpful and we enjoyed a delicious lunch there (and a hot whiskey!) after passing through a bookshop to learn more about the faeries Stephen was explaining to us. Kacpar was a consummate driver who commanded the road at every tricky turn in small villages. Thank you Stephen and Kacpar for the excellent start to our holidays! We will come back. read more

Me and 3 friends came to ireland for the first time to celebrate our birthdays. We chose this tour based on the stellar reviews and glad we did. This was an excellent tour. Joe the driver was safe and friendly and Josh made the trip fun and informative with facts and stories and they even took music and questions with a clip board they sent through the bus. The day started on tome with their friendly welcome and assigned us seats to use for the trip, all next to eachother, taking the guesswork out. There was one handy stop for restrooms and a good food selection if needed them on to the Cliffs. We had a full two hours and appreciated Josh being clear what time we myst be back so we did not have to wait for anyone. The Cliffs were fabulous and the to hours went fast with short hikes in either direction. The drive through the Doolin and Wild Atlantic way was spectacular with sheep (babies too!) the a two journey stop j Gallway (with plenty of tips for n what to do and where to eat) was awesome. Great kittle city. Highly recommend! read more

If you are planning a day trip to the Giant's Causeway and Belfast, you absolutely must request Stephen James O'Mally as your guide and Paulo as your driver. From start to finish, the logistics were flawless. Paulo expertly navigated the roads, ensuring we had a safe, smooth, and relaxing ride the entire day so we could just sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery. The true standout of the tour, however, was our guide, Stephen. He is far more than just a typical tour guide; he is a masterful storyteller. Instead of just reciting dry dates and facts, Stephen brought the complex and beautiful history of Ireland to life by weaving in his own personal family history. Hearing about the region's past through the lived experiences of his ancestors made the tour feel incredibly intimate, relatable, and profoundly moving. Had an amazing time! Our tour guide Josh and driver Stipe helped provide a comfortable and safe experience all the way to the Cliffs of Moher. Josh was very well versed in Irish history and the landscapes we saw, and made the learning experience fun and exciting. We also got to request songs, ask him any questions that came to mind, and got to learn some Irish. Stipe navigated the tough country roads with ease making the whole trip super smooth. We made a few stops along the way for bathroom and food breaks, and spent a few hours in Galway with the option to take a walking tour directed by Josh. The Cliffs were gorgeous and well worth the travel out there. I felt like we had ample time in every location to see what I wanted to see. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a peaceful trip out to the Cliffs without the hassle of renting a car themselves on those narrow roads, with the added bonus of a pretty hilarious tour guide and driver. read more

I had an amazing experience on this tour! Matthew was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable, funny, and engaging throughout the entire trip. He played music that matched the stories and locations he was talking about, which made the experience feel even more immersive. The stories and history he shared kept me interested, and even after a long day of traveling, I found myself fully engaged the entire time. The Cliffs of Moher were absolutely stunning, and Galway was beautiful as well. As a female solo traveler backpacking across Europe, feeling comfortable and safe on tours is incredibly important to me. Not every company creates that kind of environment, but this one absolutely did. The staff and overall atmosphere made me feel very welcomed and at ease throughout the entire day. I would highly recommend this company and its tour guides to anyone visiting the area. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland! read more

Our driver was Lisa and she did an excellent job maneuvering this large bus on narrow winding roads. Our tour guide was Matt and he explained about how difficult the Irish people had it over the past several centuries. Cliffs of Moher was beautiful and it was a definitely worth seeing. Lunch in Ennis was great. We went on our own to The Abbey restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast. Ennis is a nice small village and more stores would probably be open during the week But we were here on Sunday. The weather was raining on and off but until we got to Limerick it wasn't too bad. On our Sunday trip King John's Castle was closed so we were stuck in Limerick without a plan in the rain. I don't know why the tour company was not made aware of the special event at the castile so that they could have made alternate plans. I hope that the company creates a backup plan for the future. read more

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. Stephen (tour guide) and Stipe (driver) were top-tier. Stephen has a rare gift for storytelling--blending history with personal family insights in a way that feels authentic, engaging, and never dry. He keeps things lively with just the right touch of humor while still honoring the weight of the subject matter. The Belfast black taxi tour was incredibly powerful. Our driver shared firsthand perspectives on the Troubles, adding depth you simply can't get from a textbook. The murals are striking and emotional--truly something you need to see in person. And then there's the Giant's Causeway--absolutely breathtaking. The views alone are worth the trip. This tour delivers the perfect mix of history, personal storytelling, and jaw-dropping scenery. Wild Rover is a fantastic, family-owned company that I highly recommend to everyone! I don't usually go for organized group tours when I travel, but when my mother and I visited Ireland in mid-September (2021), we decided to take two different day trips with them, and I'm so happy we did! The first was to Northern Ireland with tour guide Connor, the second to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway with David, and Sidney was our driver on both days. Not only were the sites totally worth seeing, all three men were very engaging and incredibly friendly. A special thanks goes out to Sidney for reserving front row bus seats for us on the Cliffs/Galway tour, which has amazing views! A perfectly delightful and beautifully scenic day trip from Dublin! Guide Steven shared so much interesting knowledge and history, it was fantastic. We came as a family and all of us enjoyed his very clever and informative tour. His humor truly made the trip enjoyable! Our driver Kacper was amazing at navigating the tricky roads safely which was impressive. We really enjoyed having independent time at the Cliffs and Galway rather than a group tour. Guide Steven was always available to answer questions and provide suggestions at our stops. We did not feel rushed or herded like sheep. The bus was clean and comfortable with a very convenient pickup location for us. We had contacted the office to request mobility consideration which they were able to accommodate. We loved everything about this trip and would recommend it to anyone!! read more

We had such an AMAZING experience on this tour! It was very well organized and had such a well thought out route and combination of stops and experiences. We really enjoyed our awesome guide Matt and our driver John. They were both so kind, engaging and shared so many interesting facts, information and forklore about about Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher were absolutely breathtaking! Despite the intense wind, rain and fog when we arrived, the shift in the clouds allowed for a magnificent view before we left. We loved the Knox pub stop for lunch in Ennis. The food was absolutely delicious and so were the unique Irish beers we ordered. King John's Castle was also so fascinating and fun to experience. Wish we could have stayed for even longer. All around wonderful tour - the time flew by! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Dublin! read more
